Chapter 61: An Unexpected Warning
(4 Months before the Android attack, on a now dead world)
Gohan and Raditz lay on the hood of their ship staring at the star filled sky. Their bodies were bruised and bloodied from an intense training session they had just finished while the planet was dying. Their gains were slow, but it was better than nothing.
It had taken weeks of begging on Gohan's part, but he had finally convinced his uncle to allow them to do the training, taking 1 fruit between the two from the harvest of some worlds. It was not a risk they could take on every world though, some they were forced to leave coated in their own sweat and blood, especially if they were going to explain their still growing power levels.
"Hey brat, how are you feeling?" Raditz jokingly asked, as he finally felt some strength returning to his body. Never bothering to take his eyes off the perfect starry sky above them.
Raditz was only greeted by the sound of a quiet nightly gust of wind on the now lifeless planet. "What the matter-" He started to ask turning to Gohan only to notice the 10 year old was fast asleep next to him.
Although Gohan had proven to have long since surpassed Raditz's own level of strength, he was still a child, and a very raw fighter. A small difference in strength was easy to overcome, provided you were smart about things. The main problem with fighting him was how smart the child was, you could never use the same trick on him twice.
Raditz just let out a small smile. It was a strange feeling, for so much of their relationship they hated each other, or at the very least shared a mutual dislike. But for the second time in their 5 year relationship things seemed alright between them again.
A pang of guilt hit Raditz as he thought about the last time he could consider himself happy around his nephew, before he had met Turles and had been forced to kill Shizen, the one true friend he could say he had made in his life of constant battle.
It wasn't that he blamed Turles for it, had he known of Shizen's abilities the psychic would've been alive today. If anything he blamed Pyros for the situation besides as far as bosses went Turles was without a doubt the second best he'd ever had. Generally treating the low class warrior with respect and allowing him to reach levels Vegeta and Nappa could never even dream of. Besides Turles and Gohan, he was sure he was the most powerful Saiyan to have lived since the calamity caused by the legendary Super Saiyan centuries ago.
Taking a look at his scouter the manned Saiyan let out a sigh as he sat up, lowered his power level, and promptly slapped Gohan on the forehead right between the eyes, before immediately jumping off the ship's hull.
Gohan's reaction was immediate as he shouted "Oww!" And lashed out in all directions using all 5 appendages. After his eyes finally opened and he sat up both hands gingerly rubbed the rapidly forming bump on his forehead as he glared at his uncle with tears forming at the corner of his eyes.
"What the hell was that for!" Gohan shouted jumping off the hull and menacingly making his way towards Raditz
The elder Saiyan warrior would've laughed at Gohan's bravado, if he didn't realize the child had already surpasses him. "Look you only have yourself to blame for oversleeping. We don't need Turles breathing down our necks any more than he already is."
Gohan stopped and let out a sigh, "Fine, let's go then. I'm going to get you back for that though." Gohan threatened as he continued past Raditz and onto their ship.
Raditz could only chuckle to himself quietly as he followed his nephew into the ship.
(2 week later)
Over the past few weeks Turles had commandeered a large Planet Trade assault ship, the same type Frieza himself was said to have used.
For him it was perfect as it allowed him to have essentially a mobile palace that could accommodate the constant comings and goings of his various underlings as they brought him basket after basket filled with the galaxies most precious fruit.
It was never enough though, hour after hour all he did was eat the fruit and train and eat some more. For the first time in a decade he felt he had a true challenge, he finally found a situation where he might be the hunted. One where having a singular piece of fruit with him wouldn't be enough to swing the tide of the battle. His Saiyan blood was pumping at full tilt, he was going to make sure he was ready for this fight.
He had just finished Ginyu's latest batch of fruit from 3 worlds who hadn't pledge absolute allegiance to him and agreed to spy against Taiga, and 2 more worlds from Jeice who had pledged allegiance but were too late responding to Turles' offer.
When Gohan and Raditz arrived though Turles didn't know whether he should laugh or scowl. "So what sort of fluffy little animals did all that damage to you two? Ha!" Turles finally decided on laugher.
"You know I think I did get a bug bite somewhere if you want to see." Raditz replied as he turned around threatening to moon their de facto leader. "Then again don't want to risk you transforming." Raditz added with a laugh of his own. Hoping that by playing along with Turles' jokes hoping to stop the tension between his cousin and nephew from popping up again.
Gohan uncomfortably added his own awkward chuckle, still uncomfortable around their leader after the violent run in they had several weeks ago.
Turles' laughing carried on for a few more seconds before abruptly getting down to business. "So if the natives didn't do it what did?"
"Well we were training. We've got to do something to kill time while the tree is growing." Gohan replied defensively immediately causing the tension to start to bubble up between them again.
Raditz resisted the urge to slap Gohan on the back of the head for ruining his hard work, it was clear the Saiyan child was already too defensive to let that go unchallenged.
"Training huh, well let's see how much it's paid off for you then." Turles said carefully hiding the suspicions from his voice as he carefully peeled off the skin of the piece of fruit he had just picked up, using a nearby knife and tossed half of it to each Saiyan.
Gohan's eyes went wide as he looked at the precious power booster in his hands then back at Turles unsure if his Cousin was testing them by countering his previous order, or if he was trying to apologize for their recent fights.
Raditz too looked unsure how to react to this gesture.
"Go on eat it. Oh that's right I ordered you not to. Well at least you're listening to me for once. This will be an exception from that previous order, just this once you hear me." Turles said with a seemingly genuine smile on his face.
"Fine." Gohan said as he at the Tree of Might skin and immediately felt strength returning to his body.
A second later Raditz followed suit, as both of their bodies began to heal rapidly.
"Good you look like you're in good enough shape for this, follow me." He added as the left his room for the first time in several days, both Gohan and Raditz looked at each other before following, something seemed off about this whole situation.
They arrived at the inner training arena on the ship, with Turles walking across to the furthest area standing opposite the other two Saiyan warriors.
"Alright show me what you've been practicing." He ordered not even bothering to drop into a defensive stance.
Raditz and Gohan each exchanged a glance suddenly having a sinking feeling this 'exercise' was meant as some sort of punishment.
Gohan immediately began to power up to his maximum, Raditz realized he had no choice but to try and see what Turles intended, and powered up as well, not quite as high as Gohan though, holding back just slightly.
In unison both Saiyans rushed forward one coming from Turles' left the other from his right.
Turles left his arms crossed still, completely confident in his own abilities.
While Gohan continued on a b-line for Turles, the Saiyan warrior couldn't help but notice Raditz was up to something, a slight glow appearing in his hand, slowly before his eyes a small Ki blast formed in each of his hands and was launched downwards towards the flooring initially causing Turles to flinch before he noticed both attacks curving on seemingly random directions.
Turles watched the attack fall in slow motion, noting it was an interesting trick, one that had proven useful many times over the millennia for many warriors fighting at a disadvantage, Turles unfolded his arms preparing for Raditz to dart to the side.
Contrary to his expectations though Raditz continued forward his fist slowly extending towards Turles.
Surprised Turles quickly shifted his gaze back to Gohan, only to see the child's foot inches from his face.
Turles bent backwards just in the knick of time, as the child's foot slowly passed over his head.
The awkward position he was left in though presented the perfect target for the temporarily forgotten Raditz to land a heavy blow to Turles' exposed stomach, causing the Saiyan ruler to bend at a strange angle, before he bounced off of the ground, cracking the hardened ceramic flooring.
Turles didn't let the slight ache to his back distract him though as he shot both legs out as he bounced back up, catching Raditz on the chin and Gohan on the stomach.
The elder Saiyan flipped backwards before being left sprawled out on the floor, Gohan on the other hand bounced off of the reinforced roof of the ship and hit the ground hard, his collisions easily enough to shatter the inner layer of protection.
Without hesitation Turles jumped back to his feet and dusted himself off as Gohan and Raditz struggled to rise. "Well that was an interesting trick, let's go again." He declared as Raditz and Gohan finally finished shaking off the blows they had just suffered.
Turles watched the two closely, looking for any sign they were attempting to conceal their strength. When neither fighter began to go on the offensive, Turles took matters into his own hands and vanished from their sights.
He appeared before Raditz first slamming his knee into his stomach, before immediately appearing in front of Gohan, moving slightly slower than before catching the child with a quick left hook.
'Either they're acting or they still can't follow this level.' Turles thought as he returned to his original position across the room. Finally he let out a sigh realizing he wasn't going to learn anything this way. "Enough, go get cleaned up and get some rest." He ordered before exiting the room, leaving the other two Saiyans confused about the whole exchange.
When the next day came, to say that Raditz was in a foul mood was an understatement. He had spent the night restless, unable to stay asleep. Every time he started to asleep he'd awake with an overwhelming sense of panic and a terrible headache. After wasting half of the night trying to sleep; he finally caved in and gave himself a small dose of the hibernation gas. Just enough to stay asleep for a little while. It was a pattern he had been repeating off and on for over a week now. A part of him was beginning to worry he had become hook on the gas.
"Uncle Raditz! Turles wants to see us again. Do you think he's going to train with us more? I think I might've gotten a small zenkai after that last one." Gohan chirped excitedly, his power had grown more than he had expected from their last trip, even factoring in the boost from their secret Tree of Might fruit.
"Shut it, I'm not in a mood for that right now." Raditz snarled, as he began to rub his temples. He was suffering from the effects of waking from the hibernation gas after only being under for such a short amount of time, and his own lack of sleep.
Gohan just looked at Raditz unsure how to respond. He'd seen Raditz and more often Turles like this before, but as far as he knew his Uncle didn't have access to Turles' rapidly dwindling supply of drinks he had taken from the last few worlds they had visited.
After an awkward moment of silence he asked again, "So about Turles'-" He started to say before Raditz cut him off.
"Fine damn it! I'll come, just shut up." Raditz muttered before shakily rising to his feet. The last thing he wanted to do was see Turles in this shape, especially if he wanted to test out his own power again.
It only took a moment for the duo to make it to Turles' room, where the Saiyan warrior was standing with two of the members of the Ginyu force, Recoome and Ginyu.
"Ha! Took ya long enough, what'd you do sneak into Lord Turles' special cabinet?" The orange warrior said with a low laugh causing Raditz to wince in pain, his head was still killing him.
Turles noticed Raditz's reaction and had half a mind to check on his own supplies after he finished this meeting. If his cousin did get into his personal stash, he would be taking the missing amount out of his skin the next time he saw him. He put that off for now though, they had more important things to discuss.
"For the sake of...team unity... I've decided to temporarily switch the teams around a bit. Gohan you will be traveling with Captain Ginyu, and Raditz you will be paired with Recoome here." Turles said carefully watching his fellow Saiyan's reactions.
Gohan and Raditz both looked shocked, almost immediately Gohan's shock turned to rage, Ginyu was far too much a stickler for following Turles' rules, there was no way he'd be able to use the Tree of Might fruit now. "Why! We've always been a team! This isn't fair!" Gohan shouted, as he struggled from keeping from losing control.
Raditz's headache was forgotten for a moment, as shock and with it a strange sense of Deja vu trickled through his system. Something in the back of his mind told him he had to stop this now.
"Turles please reconsider, I've got to stay with Gohan; I've got to look out for him." Raditz practically begged, a feeling of dread beginning to build up as Turles smirked as if he anticipated their reactions.
"No, like I said it's time to change things up." Turles replied with a tone of absolute authority.
'Damn it he's not going to change his mind, how could he be onto us already, we only ate 2 fruits, on planets that gave higher than expected yields, he shouldn't even know.' Raditz thought, his mind still slightly sluggish as he tried to think of a way out of this, something was pushing hard telling him he needed to stay with Gohan at all costs.
"Look if you want to change things up, why not teams of three, if you don't trust us you can keep someone watching us." Raditz countered much to Gohan's shock as much as Turles'.
"A tempting offer, but no, that's just going to slow down fruit production." Turles answered, unsure why Raditz was fighting his decision so hard if it wasn't to try and sneak fruit. 'Does he think he can convince one of the other's to join them?'
"But-" Raditz started to speak again before being silenced complete.
"ENOUGH! This matter is closed." Turles shouted, not wanting to discuss the matter anymore.
Raditz's hand tightened into a fist as he reluctantly kneeled, and bowed his head. "As you wish Lord Turles."
Turles noted that Raditz never called him Lord, their family ties allowed them to address each other on a more even level than most of the rest of the crew. It was an obvious sign that Raditz was upset with the decision and being passive aggressive. "Look once Taiga's head is all my wall you can pair up with whoever you want, until then stop bothering me with this." Turles said before dismissively waving his hands.
Quickly the 2 newly formed teams shuffled out and after a short goodbye parted ways.
Recoome wasted no time slapping Raditz on the back "Come on now, teaming with me won't be that bad!" with his usual bombastic tone. "Besides Gohan's a big boy now, he doesn't need anyone to keep an eye on him." Recoome argued trying to cheer his new partner up.
"He's still a stupid brat, he needs me to watch out for him." Raditz countered, his tone somewhat deflated as his hangover was rapidly returning.
"If that's it, then it's a good thing Turles split you up. The Captain will teach him everything he needs to know. He's been wanting him to take Guildo's old spot in our formation since we first accepted Lord Turles' offer." Recoome replied doing more to convince Raditz it was a bad idea than the other way around. He couldn't imagine a Saiyan warrior, even one as eccentric as his half-blooded nephew taking part in the Ginyu force's unorthodox performances.
He was tired of wasting his breath though and simply agreed and entered his pod, since he could no longer use the small merchant ship he and Gohan had commandeered weeks ago.
No sooner had his ship launched then he had the hibernation gas on again, he needed time to sleep off the short dose, and this trip would work perfectly for that.
(4 week later)
Gohan ducked under a native warrior's fist, delivering a powerful elbow to his chest, collapsing his chest with little effort, before diving to the right just in time to dodge a purple blast that vaporized the warrior's remains.
"You're still being too cute with your movements!" Ginyu hollered as he charged up another blast as Gohan rushed him.
Gohan was able to dodge this upcoming attack much easier, before phasing out as another native warrior appeared trying to hit the Saiyan child with an ax like weapon, it was a full second later than the warrior noticed that his head had been separated from his body with nothing more than a flick of Gohan's tail.
As soon as Gohan appeared in his new position above Ginyu a blast exploded in his face blinding the surprised child warrior.
His guard completely shattered he made easy prey for Ginyu's follow up attack as the purple warrior axe handle him into the ground.
"Come on Gohan we've been at this for half an hour already, the tree is almost fully grown and you are still being way too wasteful in your movements. Although your efforts are commendable, you should focus on your strongest adversary, not wasting time trying to make sure the grunts get easy deaths." Ginyu chided Gohan as the child rose from the ground.
The native warriors that had been forced into the impromptu training exercise with the promise that Ginyu would remove the tree if a single one of their warriors managed to land a hit on Gohan, stood by unsure if they should continue to attack or finally just give up, their world was nearly dead as it was.
Gohan pulled himself from his rubble and shook his head, "This is fine, let's go again." He countered as the two of them took their positions again to begin another round.
Raditz sat back against the still growing Tree behind him while Recoome had his fun. Before him the planet's warriors had gathered desperately trying to save their already doomed world.
"Haha, too slow again! I really don't know you're even trying anymore!" Recoome shouted as he dropped the lifeless body of yet another warrior that had made a rush for the tree.
Raditz let out a sigh, sure they'd agreed to have a contest and test their respective strengths, but when the native showed up it ruined any chance for Raditz to improve. Finally with his patience nearing its end Raditz decided it was time to intervene. "Hurry up Recoome, if you don't finish up soon we won't have a chance to fight." Raditz yelled finally getting his orange partner's attention.
"Awww come on Raditz, just give me 5 more minutes, or you can take a turn if you want." Recoome pouted.
"No there's no point fighting warriors so weak when the tree will be done soon, if we don't have our fight now we'll have to wait until the next planet to." Raditz replied with a scowl. There was a time where Raditz would've taken Recoome up on such an offer, the feeling of being stronger than others was a rush like no other. Something had changed in him starting when he had spent time under Shizen, killing low level targets like this, just didn't do anything for him anymore.
"Alright, you boys heard the party-pooper over there, time to finish up!" Recoome bellowed, before firing his eraser gun. The planet's defenders never stood a chance against such an attack.
"Alright, but you better be ready to give me a good time, I was having fun playing with them." Recoome replied before powering up his aura to a fighting level of strength.
Raditz smiled as he jumped to his feet, "Don't worry about that, let's just hope you can keep up." As a large aura surrounded him as well.
Raditz had had to pick up his unconscious teammate and carry him to his pod when the battle was over. It also meant that the harvest was left to the Saiyan warrior alone.
"Sheesh a whole 7 fruits…." Raditz muttered to himself, "I figured this was an 8 or 9 fruit planet at a minimum." He continued as put the last one in the specialized cooler designed to store the fruit. "Such a wasted trip, Recoome could barely even follow my movements when I tried to get serious."
"So this is what your mission was all about?" An unknown voice sounded behind him. Raditz was immediately dropped into a defensive posture as a native warrior stood behind him. His armor nearly entirely scorched away, and one of the oversized ears that appeared on the natives of this world ripped away, but no current wounds showed on his skin. As he held one of the fruits in his hands.
"Put that down." Raditz said his voice taking on a threatening tone as his aura began to bubble around him. He couldn't afford to lose that fruit, Turles was already too suspicious of him.
Definitely the warrior grinned as he bit into it, a rush over power going through his veins. "You know this fruit has even more power in it than the first one I ate." He added with a grin as more power rushed through him than any other member of his species had ever experienced before.
"You dirty backwater piece of shit!" Raditz shouted as he phased out, he had to save as much of the fruit as possible
Before the big-eared warrior could defend himself, or even try and taken a second bite, Raditz had taken the native's entire arm off.
"How-" Before he could finish his sentence Raditz had vaporized him. The only feeling
Raditz rubbed his eyes brows with irritation, he was too tired to deal with this. Looking back down at the fruit, he shrugged his shoulders and finished off the magical fruit feeling a small increase in his strength, a single fruit barely made a difference anymore unless he was grievously injured on top of it.
"Whatever...Turles is going to chew my head off anyway…" He mumbled before entering his ship again, connecting Recoome's navigation system to his own and taking off.
For a few minutes the Saiyan warrior debated whether he should turn the hibernation gas on or not, but something was telling him to try again to sleep normally, he didn't want to risk becoming completely hooked on it.
In just a few minutes Raditz gave into his exhaustion and fell asleep. He had only been asleep for a few minutes when something began to press on the edge of his mind, it was the same feeling he that had kept him from sleeping for weeks now, somehow this time though it was different.
"Damn it Raditz can you stop blocking me out for a minute!" A voice shouted inside his mind. "Look there isn't much time, you have to convince Turles to change his current course. If not Gohan will die."
By this point Raditz had started to recognize the voice coming through. 'Shizen?'
"Yes, you have no idea how difficult it is to get a signal through from this side. I've been practicing for months." Raditz's former commander admitted. "Now listen up, Turles isn't going to listen to much logic at this point, but if you can give him what he wants the most he will listen. In two weeks' time Taiga will be on the world Megiddo. You have to be on the planet before he lands. I'm at my limit, goodbye my friend." Shizen said before the pressure vanished, leaving the still sleeping Raditz alone in his head.
(A few hours later)
Turles sat on his de facto throne contemplating his cousin's words. He had no idea how his cousin had done it but the planet he claimed would soon fall under Taiga's attack matched up perfectly with the line his own agents were slowly compiling.
He played back Raditz's frantic and somewhat confusing message one last time before making up his mind. "Alright cousin let's see where this hunch of yours takes us." Before activating a beacon telling all teams to return to the ship. It was hunting time.
"Well looks like we'll have to take a raincheck on your end of the bargain kid. I'll teach you the basics of our choreography next time." Ginyu announced severely disappointed.
Gohan on the other hand was relieved, the idea of dancing like Ginyu's team embarrassed him just thinking about it.
Grabbing the handful of partially ripened fruits they could find, the duo returned to their ships and began on their way home.
(Above the planet an hour later)
"Sir the scouts say the world has already been abandoned." A distant operator called out.
"Impossible, the tree is still in the act of growing. Do they just plant the trees and leave?" Paragus shouted out in frustration he had put so many of his plans on hold for this hunt. Broly was getting harder to manage by the day though, if this Kakarot was not killed by Broly's own hands soon, he might fully rebel.
"Kakarot" Broly hissed as the ship began to shake.
"Broly please calm yourself. We're so close, you'll have what you seek soon." He begged, careful not to mention the name Kakarot.
When the ship stopped shaking he immediately ordered "Set a course to 2 planets ahead of their projected path. We're getting close. We'll just have to cut them off."
Hey everyone, we are beginning a short Gohan focused mini-arc so I hope you enjoyed it :) There is a chance this is my last update for about a month as I will be travelling a bunch the next few weeks.
Reviews:
Nick -
:) glad to hear it. Hope you enjoyed this chapter too.
King Kai -
KING KAI -
No problem, i'm trying to pick up my pace at least temporarily. My goal is always 25 chapters a year, and i've only ever managed to hit that the very first year.
Cibi -
So the shield thing was an effect of over drive.
Beerus101 -
Thank you :)
wetham 444 -
Glad you enjoyed it
Slug is pretty strong, i'd say 5 at a minimum no more than 10 though.
Cold is a lot lower on the scale even after transforming, probably 50 could beat him.
The weakest would be one that just transformed so think Goku vs Frieza. 150,000,000 if you want a number.
Pro 10 -
Glad to hear it :)
JAYDEN 123 -
Ok so reviewing it both on my own and another trusted source I agree with your estimates to a degree, I've lowered the estimates for 14 and 15 a bit down to 200,000,000. Thanks for catching that and for the review :)
RKF22 -
Thanks :)
HavenofUmbar -
Thanks for the review, yeah that is Raditz power at the last check in. I'm not doing a multiplier, instead it is a well of energy that is unlocked, following the same model as Bringer of Death. Hope you enjoyed this chapter too.
HERGE 8 -
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
God Goku -
I hope it didn't disappoint :)
Luke -
Yes not just normal Bulma, but potential unlocked Bulma! So even more intellegence added :).
Yeah you got it :) the reason he skipped the Gero part was he needed to keep a boogie man out there, otherwise he would be hard pressed to get their help.
You'll have to wait and see ;)
The Lord of the Pies -
Yes Dr. Gero is an ass, I tried to make him more strategic. Yeah it's crazy when a character is strong enough to make 1.5 Billion into a disappointment :). Yes I think it is special juice and maybe even weighted pushups! Tawas was his name.
I'm glad you are enjoying Cell, Yes for the most part they've gotten stronger because of stronger opponents, or previous trainings like the humans teaming up with Piccolo before the Saiyan saga.
A very nice reaction thread :)
Yoshi -
Cell might be able to earn her respect given time and his Saiyan temperament. She's much rougher to beings who she sees as lacking traits befitting their strength. Forever being in her shadow would drive Cell crazy though. Hope you like this chapter as well.
EXTRA 9 -
The fight was cut short for one reason and one reason only, rage. Cepa was pissed that Slug stooped as low as to ambush her. Not even giving her a chance to fight back. It was a sense of humiliation on her part to be killed by someone so cowardly.
The average frost demon is probably between canon Ginyu and 2nd Form Frieza. Nobles being from 3rd form up to Frieza's mother and her contemporaries at 60,000,000 or so.
Yes King Vegeta was for a while until a group of Super Saiyans on the hunt came across him. Then his afterlife began to spiral around the toliet :)
Doctor 911 -
Thank you! :)
JOEL -
Glad you are enjoying it! I was curious
if anyone had caught the hints about cell being given to Wheelo a head if time or if i had been too subtle. It kinda seems like i was.
The scene where Goku and Cell shook hands was tge main one i was looking forward to and helped drive me through that chapter and the one before it :)
It's possible certain elements might be included, the super saiyan god legend from super inspired Cepa and her kingdom, even if i only took the idea of ancient super Saiyans from it.
Bulma could create something like that, especially if she got a hold of part of 19 or his specs.
Well i look forward to you enjoying the story for years to come then! :)
Omni King -
Thank you glad you enjoyed it!
Pirate King -
Glad you liked the chapter :). So to Cepa and the other ancient Saiyans super Saiyan 2 is believed to be the pinnacle of Saiyan strength, that coupled with being unable to get stronger in hell leads they to get smarter at fighting instead. Well the pinnacle in strength besides the legendary ssj transformation that is.
So she is pushing herself to be a more refined fighter, not a lot more you can learn after over 1000 years though. She just doesn't know to try and look for another transformation.
Bro123 -
I wouldn't necessarily say that Piccolo was holding his own, I felt the Cell Jr's were playing, the same way they played with Tien, Yamcha, and Krillin at the same time. They were just able to play alittle rougher with Piccolo, at least that's how I saw the chapter. Yes Slug's power is going to keep growing which will continue to make him a bigger and bigger threat down in hell. Cepa's perfect pet. Thanks for the review :)
SCIENCE 9 -
Glad you liked the chapter :)
The gaps between the galaxies are much larger than the size of a single galaxy. They've probably explored the satellite galaxies to a degree, that is where I had Broly and Paragus hanging out during their first appearance. Between that and the massive size of the galaxy the PTO hasn't had a chance to explore too far from their own galaxy.
So how I have the Kai's layered in my own mind, is you have 4 Kai's like King Kai for each major galaxy i.e. Milky Way sized. Then you have 1 grand kai in charge of the entire galaxy, then you have the 4 supreme Kais that divide up the entire universe with the grand supreme kai above them.
I would figure each would have their own hell and heaven with how I see it.
Yamen -
Thanks :)
MATHEW -
Thank you.
Turles has not transformed.
He has an ok relationship with them, he doesn't like Ginyu's idolization of Frieza, but it doesn't come up often.
Cell's opinion on Goku is pretty much what it was in canon, he is just keeping his desire to kill in check.
Yes many, many, many times.
Some but not as much as Cepa.
Josey554 -
Awesome :)
20, 21, and 22 all look the same as their original forms from the Wheelo movie.
Basically how I see it is the infinite energy engines can provide nearly limitless energy but there is a limit to how much it generates at a time if that makes sense. Like it can generate energy without the need for fuel or anything just keeps working, even though scientifically that doesn't make sense, but there is a limit to how much it can generate at one time. Overdrive pushes the engine into the red, using a car engine as an analogy, getting you more power but at the risk of the engine itself.
Considering he is the reason they are all dead, not good :)
Cibi -
Thanks for the review, I can't answer the power of the threat yet.
Intelligent to a degree, they can plan and use tactics, but can't really be reasoned with.
It would be challenged, and the challengers slaughtered over and over again until the Saiyans got tired of it and leaving.
No they would not be aware of the Z fighters
wetham 444 -
Glad you are enjoying the story :)
There is a plethora of Frost Demons that can go toe to toe with the weaker Super Saiyans. There are also some other more ancient threats that Cepa has already grown bored with over the centuries.
Thanks :)
Jimmy 45 -
Thank you for catching that, I went back and edited it to a degree, I seemed to have skipped a paragraph or two somehow while copying it over.
Yeah I was pretty pumped for the team up.
Omni King -
Hope you enjoyed this chapter too :)
Spirax 570 -
Glad you enjoyed it, and I'm glad it seems like I've captured a good impression of cell and the Androids :).
I won't give away whether Wheelo's roll is done or not.
Thanks, and thank you for adding to the total :)
No problem on the extra review, it doesn't hurt me at all, it just adds to the review numbers XD
Yeah I'd say Vegeta is probably my favorite character for similar reasons :) Plus he's just a bad ass even if they don't give him any major wins in the show. You don't have to worry about all the wins falling to one or two characters, that gets boring and repetitive in my mind, everyone will have a time to shine :)
It's an interesting prediction, but I cannot confirm or deny which parts match up with my plans.
Currently Nappa has kept it to himself, mostly because Vegeta hasn't cared enough to ask. I think Nappa might've mentioned it to Goku at some point but I'll have to go back and check on that.

Thank you I will try and check it out sometime soon :)

Where would the fun be if I gave such a big turning point away ;) It'll happen but I can't say when.

Thank you will do :)

Glad you enjoyed it! Hopefully this counts as soon ;)

Turles took out the fruit because he wanted to keep Taiga alive, and with how the fight was progressing it would be difficult to do that since they were still so evenly match. He wanted to get the location of the frost demon homeworld from him. So he could potentially have one last incredible fight sometime in the future. Him verse the most powerful world in the galaxy, a Saiyan warrior's dream come true.
Yeah right now Turles has the advantage, but he doesn't know if Taiga is working alone, or if the entire planet now has access to the fruit, complicating matters.
Thanks again for the review :)
SCIENCE 9 -
Yeah they do, they haven't had the same quality of opponents or access to the same level of training.

Glad you enjoyed the fight! :) Really Piccolo vs 16 is a pretty close fight, Piccolo just got sloppy and over confident.
Yeah the Nappa pep talk was fun to write :) Hopefully you enjoyed this chapter too, thanks again for the reviews. It's been crazy how long you've been following the story, if I remember right you've been around since like chapter 2 or maybe even chapter 1, i'm glad you've enjoyed the story enough to stick with me throughout everything :)

I've been trying my best to make up for how slow I've been updating the last year+, it has always been my goal to hit 25 chapters per year, and I've only reached that goal onces, so I'm trying to make some ground up before I go out of town for a while. :)

Glad you enjoyed Cell's craftiness. Yeah Cell could run into some problems, but no plan ever survives battle. That would be a good guess about overdrive ;)
You'll have to wait and see about Goku's training.
Ultra Super Saiyan has a lot of strength but I think it is at best equal to fully master Ssj. Yeah Piccolo being split up helped some, but the gains he was making with each part of himself was relative to the strength, so his gains aren't necessarily as fast since there were such big gaps. It's not like it was when Piccolo was training against Goku who was significantly stronger than himself.
No Cepa's killer is dead as well. I think I might've mentioned her killer in the first chapter she appeared.
Thank you everyone again for all the support. I hope you enjoyed this chapter just as much :)
