Evil Ninjas.

To say things were awkward for Asuka and Ayane would be an understatement. After a nice hang out which ended with the two girls beating up a group of punks trying to attack them, Asuka ended up kissing Ayane out of excitement... And after realizing what she had done, Asuka was so embarrassed she ran away before Ayane even had a chance to react. A couple of days had passed but both girls still hadn't properly spoken, only brief hellos here and there. Both felt stupid, but things were so awkward they couldn't talk. During school they just focused on their lessons and once school was done, Asuka would just bike home without saying anything. It really was a frustrating situation, and all because of a kiss.

Right now it was the end of another school day and Ayane was leaning against a wall "This is stupid, it was just a kiss, not the end of the world... Then why am I feeling like this...?".

Ayane really couldn't understand. All her life she's endured things that would've killed any normal person. The constant abuse and hate from her own home village. The revelation she was the daughter of a demonic man who did unspeakable acts. And of course the constant battles against enemy ninjas and all kinds of monsters and demons. She faced it all with no fear... Yet one kiss and now her head is all over the place with no answers coming up to explain why she felt so strange.

"Sounds like someone has a love bug" Came an all to familiar and annoying voice. It was Lili.

Ayane groans in annoyance "Beat it brat, I am not in the mood for your crap right now".

Lili walked up to her "No need to be so hostile. Love is a beautiful thing, and I knew there is something between you and Asuka".

Ayane glared at her "I'm warning you, keep pushing and you wont like what happens next. Besides I already told you me and Asuka are just friends".

"Oh? Well if that really is the case, then you won't mind letting me have her?" Lili asked.

"What?!" Ayane asked in shock and confusion "Where did that come from?! You And Asuka hate each other!".

"Hate? What made you think I hate her? No no no, as much as she annoys me with her rude and brutish nature, I must admit Asuka is a beautiful girl. And with a few lessons in proper manners, I'm certain she would make a lovely girlfriend" Lili said with a dreamy smile.

"Oh please, Asuka would never date someone like you. You have nothing in common and Asuka wouldn't change her entire lifestyle for anyone" Ayane said, getting more and more annoyed.

"You know the saying, opposites attracts. And look at me, I'm certain my beautiful charm will have Asuka falling for me by the end of the week. And who knows, maybe we'll get married one day. She would look amazing in a dress... Or should she wear a groom's outfit?" Lili wondered while tapping her chin with her finger.

Ayane grabbed her by her collar and glared in to her eyes "Enough! You are not Asuka's rival and you sure as hell aren't her lover! Now back off and leave Asuka alone or you'll be getting a far worse beating than a simple kick!".

Lili only smiled knowingly "And there you are".

"What?" Ayane asked confused.

"The awkward tension between you and Asuka. The fact you're horrified by the mere thought of me and Asuka ending up together. Not to mention you're blushing right now: You are in love with her" Lili said in a knowing tone.

"I, No I... URGH!" Ayane let go and turned around to hide her red face "Damn you are annoying!".

"You don't need to feel so frustrated. There is nothing wrong with falling in love, and I do believe Asuka would say yes if you asked her out" Lili said calmly.

"Why do you even care? Ever since I met you, you've only wanted to beat Asuka in a fight. So why do you suddenly care about her love life?" Ayane asked.

"Would you feel better if I told you it's because this whole situation has made Asuka very unfocused and I just want her to go back to normal so I can beat her in a fair fight?" Lili asked, and Ayane just gave her an annoyed look "Truth is, I don't really have a reason, I just want to see you two get over this silly stuff. And if you don't work out, maybe I will swoop in and claim Asuka for myself".

Ayane growls a little "Even when you're trying to help you're still annoying".

"And you're just as rude as Asuka is. You two could be made for each other. Just ask her out already, can't hurt to try" Lili said before walking away.

Ayane looked down, wondering what to do. Lili's words really hit home... Was everything Ayane was feeling right now love? Sure she and Asuka had a lot in common and became friends pretty quick... After Ayane accidentally walked in on Asuka in the shower, and Ayane really thought Asuka had a nice body, and they had their big fight. But Ayane never imagined having romantic feelings for Asuka... But then they had so much fun on their hang out, more fun than Ayane has had in years, and then of course... the kiss.

Ayane touched her lips, still remembering the tingling feeling from Asuka's kiss... And now that she was really thinking about it... She liked it... So could everything Lili said be true? Was Ayane really... In love with Asuka?

She pondered this question while holding up her phone, debating if she should call Asuka or not.

Meanwhile, Asuka had returned home and was having a long shower. She exhausted, despite not doing anything physically demanding today. Her mind has just been all over the place and she couldn't focus on anything else. She washed herself and tried to at least enjoy the feeling of the warm water running down her body, but even that was hard to do because of the situation. She sighed and turned off the shower before grabbing her towel and stepped out.

She dried herself off as she stood in front of her mirror, she wiped the fog off the mirror and looked at herself... She looked like a mess, she hadn't had a full night sleep ever since that kiss incident. She still for the life of her couldn't figure out why she did it, she was just so full of joy after their great day together that her body just moved on it's on and she just kissed her... Still Ayane was very beautiful, she had a cute face, beautiful red eyes and her curves wasn't bad either.

Asuka blushed and shook her head "Get a hold of yourself Asuka, you're loosing it over nothing... Just a kiss... which you gave to your best friend... Damn it! Why can't my life ever be normal?!".

Suddenly, while looking in the mirror, she saw something dash past her window. She quickly turned around

"Ayane?" She called out but got no response. Ever since Ayane's unexpected shower visit, Asuka has become a little paranoid about someone else dropping in announced "Man the lack of sleep must really be getting to me if I'm starting to see things. Better get some shut eye while I can".

She left the bathroom and went to her room where she put on a clean bra and panties, she then fell on her bed with a tired sigh. She heard her phone ring so she grabbed it but before she could answer she noticed a quick reflection flash. She looked up and gasped as someone dropped down from the sealing, and she had to roll out of the way to avoid being stabbed by some kind of claws. She grabbed the blanket on her bed and pulled it hard, causing the mysterious figure to fall of the bed.

The figure stood up, revealing himself to be Ninja in a black outfit with some white markings resembling spider webs. He had a sword on his back and ninja claws on his hands.

"Who the hell are you?!" Asuka demanded while in her fighting stance. She was still in her underwear but modesty was the least of her worries. And the ninja didn't seem to care either.

"Kazama, your bloodline ends tonight" The Ninja said calmly before he launched forward.

Asuka dodged the first slash and stopped the next one by blocking his arm. She had no idea who this guy was, but it was very clear he was here to kill her so this would be a fight for her life. The ninja continued slashing at her before Asuka pushed his arm up and knocked him down by punching in the chest. He recovered quickly and performed a jump-up kick which sent Asuka through her bed room door. Asuka grunts in pain when she landed on the floor, before she gasped as the ninja leaps at her to stab her, luckily she grabbed his arms and kicked him over her.

He landed on his feet and threw kick which Asuka blocked, and she had to dodge another stab from his claws, only this time she grabbed his arm and forcefully disarmed him of one pair of his claws. But he ripped his arm free and managed to cut her shoulder, she cried out in pain and kicked him away. She touched her wound and looked at the blood on her hand... He really was trying to kill her.

Asuka looked at the ninja "Why are you doing this?".

"You don't know? Then die in your ignorance" The Ninja said before he attacked again.

Asuka blocked a punch but was not fast enough to prevent a slash across her chest, making her scream in pain. She grabbed his arm and forcefully disarmed him of his other pair of claws before punching him in the face then in the chest and kicked him in the gut, making him slide in to a wall. He grunts as his back slammed in to the wall but recovered quickly and pulled out his ninjato sword. He spun his sword around before getting in to his sword stance and Asuka got in to her own stance. The Ninja thrusts his sword forward, forcing Asuka to dodge but his follow up swing left a small cut on her thigh, making her hiss from the pain.

Asuka's wounds weren't deep but it was becoming clear the Ninja was trying to wear her down by inflicting multipel wounds and allow the blood loss to slow her down. Asuka knew she had to end this now or she's dead. The ninja came down with and overhead strike and Asuka Caught the blade between her palms, causing some blood to come out from her hands, and with a loud cry she snapped the sword in half, much to the ninjas shock.

Asuka then screams in fury as she lays in to the ninja, delivering blow after blow, her punches being so hard it shook the room. She then uppercuts him, slightly lifting him of the floor before punching him square in the gut. The Ninja stumbled back as Asuka let out one more battle cry before delivering a powerful kick to his chest which sent him flying through the wall, and he tumbled across the street before slamming in to a streetlight, which bent from the impact.

The Ninja holds his chest before having to pull down his mask to cough up blood. Looks like the stories about the Kazama's strength is true, Asuka was so young yet still so strong... All the more important that she dies tonight, before she reaches her full potential. Grabbing his broken blade the Ninja got back up and began walking back towards Asuka's home... But before he could make it, Ayane appeared in front of him with and icy glare.

"Black Spider, I should've known. So you're the ones targeting the Kazamas" Ayane said in a calm yet angry tone.

"You... you're the demon child from the Mugen Tenshin clan. Why are you here?" The Ninja asked.

"Simple, Asuka Kazama is under my protection. I would tell you to leave and warn your clan to stay away. But you made this personal, so you're not leaving this place alive" Ayane said coldly as she pulled out a short sword she kept hidden between her breasts.

The Ninja showed no fear, despite his injuries and moved to attack... only for Ayane to quickly stab him through the heart before he even saw her move. He died almost instantly and fell to ground. Ayane looked down at her dead foe, from the looks of it he was one of the Black Spider's elite assassins, pretty impressive Asuka managed to beat one of them.

Ayane gasped when she remembered "Asuka!".

She rushed inside and found Asuka sitting against a wall, she had several wounds and was clearly weakened from blood loss.

Asuka looked up and smiled weakly "Hello Candy Hair... You sure took your time".

Ayane quickly kneels down next to her "I should've been here sooner. Damn it, I was supposed to protect you from them!".

"Them? Ayane, you knew someone was going to assassinate me?" Asuka asked in shock and almost sounded betrayed.

"I... We suspected someone would try..." Ayane admitted.

"We? Ayane, what is going on?! What is happening?!" Asuka demanded, she even sounded scared.

"No point in hiding it anymore. Me and my allies will explain once you've received medical attention... I'm sorry Asuka, but I'm afraid your normal life is over" Ayane said as she picked Asuka up bridal style and carried her away.

Safe to say Asuka did not like the scary turn her life had taken...
