Death
Uzumaki Naruto, the Child of Prophecy and a pivotal figure of the Fourth Great Ninja World is battling his teammate Uchiha Sasuke to convince him once and for all. Their battle reshaped the landscape of Valley of the End and devastated it to such a degree that it no longer looks or feels like the work of two mortals.
Sasuke in his Lightning-encased Susanoo is staring down at Naruto in Kurama Chakra Avatar. The nine landmass floating behind Sasuke and supplying him with Chakra.
"Surrender Naruto. This is for the greater good. The Gokage needed to die and the system needed to be reformed for the world to be peaceful."
Sasuke tried to persuade Naruto but knew in his heart that his darkness can't sway Naruto's light. For he too was swayed by his light. That's why to protect his friend's light, he shall soak in all the shadows of the world. So that Naruto doesn't end up like his beloved brother.
"Don't be stupid Sasuke! As your friend, I have to knock some sense back into
your head! What's with killing the 5 Kages and reforming the world!? Peace
can't be forced!"
A battle born from the concerns and the conflicting views between two friends.
One that will end horribly for both sides.
"Are you ready, Kurama!?"
"I might have amassed far too much in fact. This is all that's available."
His question was answered by a surge of Nature Energy flooding his chakra
system. The amount far too beyond the realm of a normal human, but Naruto
molded and mixed it as easily as if he was breathing, the mastery only shown
by Otsutsuki Hagoromo, the Sage of Six Path.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" With it, three more chakra avatars of Kurama appeared
in a formation.
"That Jutsu again? It is powerless against my power, resoluteness and
darkness Naruto!"
With a mighty roar, three Kurama Avatar charged against Sasuke. Two
trapping the Susanoo using their tails and the third punching the head.
But the absolute defense of Susanoo prevented damage to Sasuke but instead
the arm was blown apart by the recoil. Then it kicked the avatar and pulled the
two restraining his sides and smashing into themselves.
A blade of lightning appeared in its hand and with it, the chakra construct
bisected them. The last one was shot down by an arrow.
But its back was bombarded by a tail beast bomb courtesy of Naruto in his
Asura-State Kurama Mode. The ancient battle between two brothers carried
out by their transmigrations.
Both were at a distance away from each other. Preparing their strongest attack,
to prevail in this battle of ideals.
A Titanic Rasenshuriken with a golden core maintained by three arms on one
side and the other equally massive Rasenshuriken with a black and red core
maintained on the other side, Naruto pushed all his energies into this attack.
On the other hand, a lightning arrow rests in the bow of Sasuke's Susanoo,
destructive enough to easily pulverise an island.
The attacks were released and met each other. The resulting explosion was
enough to shake the world, causing the world to slightly change its axis and
consequently causing great catastrophes around the world.
The two weren't left unscratched. Their body tattered most especially in
Naruto's case, his body and mind enduring the strain of battling continuously
for a week straight without rest or food.
Both Naruto and Sasuke met the dirt and endured great pain. Sasuke was the
first to stand up and slowly walked towards Naruto, his hand encased in
Chidori. Just as he tried to knock out his friend, he was countered and instead
got an uppercut by Naruto, the blow strong enough to easily throw his body to
the stone wall.
With great effort, Sasuke managed to stand up again and put the ringing in his
head under control. His Chidori came to life again.
As for Naruto, he too managed to stand up again and formed a normal
Rasengan. Both charged towards each other. Their final confrontation ended
up just as their first one.
Chidori met Rasengan and the great force pushed against each other, fighting
for domination. Perhaps in another world, the confrontation would end in a
draw and Naruto finally managed to convince Sasuke.
But such is not the case with this one. Naruto's Rasengan gave out first, and his
body finally succumbed. Sasuke's fist went right through Naruto's heart.
Sasuke didn't expect this. His greatest gift Sharingen and Rinnegan became a
curse as he capture Naruto's last moments, the sensation of his fist going
through Naruto forever ingrained to his very soul.
For the second of his entire, he himself extinguished the life and light of his
friend, the one he considered his light.
The lifeless body fell to the ground and the victor standing, looking at his
bloodied hand. Ahhh. He is a cursed being, forever meant to lose his precious
ones and sniffed the light out of his life, forever trapped in darkness.
His control slipped away and the nine bijuu broke out of their jail and their
attention, immediately drawn to the lifeless form of one Uzumaki Naruto. The
only human aside from their own father to consider them as living beings and
treated them as his equal. Kurama, especially, was enraged. His entire mind
and body filled with wrath for the cursed Uchiha bastard.
Sasuke didn't put up resistance against the combined assault of the nine bijuu.
Soon, his body followed the same path as his broken mind.
Watching the spectacle are two beings. One, a woman with dark violet hair as if
the whole galaxy was present and two sapphire eyes reminisce of the stars. The
other, a dark silhouette of a man.
"It seems someone meddled in my affairs. This must not go unpunished!
While unfortunate, Uzumaki Naruto's life can't continue and his story shall
end here."
"Hold on Fate. His actions must be compensated for and his story
continued."
"Dream, Naruto can't be revived. Though unfair, his life and in turn the
world's fate are forcefully ended. This is the end of line for him."
"Yes, he can't be revived and his story ends here but the Book of Destiny still
has many blank pages. I suggest he be reincarnated in another world and
continue his story there."
"A valid point. But it has nothing for me. I will only be wasting my time and
as this case has proven, he can't go against the machinations of Fate and
Destiny. I have no wish to invest my hope in him."
"Then, how about a contract between you and me. You can ask me one favor if
things turn out the way you expect. Either way, you will gain much from this
deal. You shall gain either my favor or your long unfulfilled wish."
"Then, the contract shall be made." With that the two beings seal the
contract.
"First, shall we ask the person in question for his wish. It would get
troublesome."
"I agree, Dream. This child is too rambunctious and rebellious for his own
good."
A spectrum of colors emerged and the soul of Naruto was summoned in front
of them.
The first thing Naruto notices is the vast nothingness. His death at the hand of
his friend still fresh in his mind.
Although he can't bring himself to hate his friend. Because he knew Sasuke
wasn't intending for that to happen. His face and tears are real. Though he is
still going to kick his butt to Monday when he gets his hand on him. How? He
doesn't know but he will!
"Child of Prophecy, it is pleasure to meet you but I wish the circumstances
were better."
Naruto's attention was grabbed by Dream. Her long hair and shining eyes
caught his eyes and before he could process it properly, a few words escaped
his mouth.
"Has anybody told you, you have really beautiful hair and eyes?"
A soothing sound escaped from her mouth and the sigh from Fate.
"Such a charmer! Thank you for your praise and you are the first and only one
to compliment me."
"Enough chit chat! We summoned you here for one thing and that is if you
wish to reincarnate into another world and continue your story. This is the
compensation for your actions."
"Of course, you can refuse and reunite with your family but this will allow you
to save Sasuke and your other friends. Of course, you won't be with them dear
but you can help your last self to overcome and conquer Sasuke's darkness.
He will be able to continue his life as is intended."
"If I can do all that, I will gladly accept it. So anything I should know about this
whole reincarnation thingy?"
"You will be reincarnated into a world where Gods descended from Heaven
and live among the mortals and grant them strength to fight against
monsters of the dungeon as a high elf."
"So what is this high elf stuff?"
"Of course, I will answer all the questions. But I have a favor to ask you dear
child. The world you are heading to is one plagued by death and misfortune
and heading towards destruction that none can stop. So please save this world
as you did for the Elemental Continent."
"Of course lady. Or my name won't be Uzumaki Naruto! You can count on me. I
promise."
Fate interrupted the conversation between the two: "Then, I shall grant my
blessing to you who will fulfill this promise. A tool that serves you well. A skill
born of your desire, dreams, hope and identity."
"Of course, I will be blessing you too, my child." Dream also stated.
[I bestow upon you my blessing, the Blessing of Dream. Should you lose your
way, the dreams shall guide you. Should you lose your heart, the dream will
comfort you."
[I, too bestow upon you my blessing, the Blessing of Fate. May you prevail
against all odds!]
In unison, Fate and Dream granted their blessings and Naruto felt something
born inside him. A good feeling nonetheless. All the general informations that
Naruto needs about the world was also imparted.
"I'm ready Lady and grumpy old man!" Fate was ready to strangle the blonde
but a glare from Dream was enough to stop him.
[Oh Child Of Prophecy, rise once more and finish your untold story. Bring
light to the people of the world as did. Rise, oh Fallen Hero!]
"Such a rude mortal! Calling one such as myself grumpy!"
"Still, I didn't expect for you to bestow your blessing. Quite a powerful one
too."
"He will need all he can gets for this one. There's nothing more to it."
"Yes, yes. I understand. Still, for you to help unlock his potential and bring
out his other side."
"I didn't help unlock his potential and bring out his other side. It was already
unlocked. I only strengthen the skill and make it available for him without the
need of Falna."
"Oh! What an astonishing and pleasant surprise. A hero through and through
indeed."
"Your blessing is absurd in and of itself. 'Chosen One'. In other words, your
hero."
"Well, you know it too, right Fate? That Skill will find its rightful owner
regardless of my intervention. Destiny will see to it."
"I hope he can prove me right and wrong. Such a conflicting circumstances I
seemed to be in."
"Indeed, Fate."
