Hiccup never thought after Grimmel's death he'd have to keep an eye on events beyond his own island anymore. A previously unknown tribe comes to change that for him when they make a nationalist their Chieftan who desires to bring back the viking lifestyle of seven generations, expansion via aggression, and a ruthless goal to eradicate what he calls the 'unvikings'.

Hiccup leaves after the talk with Stoick about his new found success in the ring. How will all of Berk react to his disappearance? Will Hiccup truly let Berk fend for themselves or will he try to help in his own way? How will they react when he returns after six years to aid them against their biggest challenge yet?

Stoick the Vast may not be an ideas-having viking, but he has his moments. If Astrid can keep Hiccup from causing trouble, it only makes sense for her to do so when he's busy.
