The scenery was at the precinct. Adalind could see Renard standing in front of her, arms waiting for what she held. "Ok. Let's just get this over with." She sighed. Adalind handed Renard their newborn daughter, Diana. "I'll only be a minute, ok?" She said to Diana as she turned to walk out the door. "Alright." Renard murmured.

Adalind needed to talk to Nick's mom, Kelly, apparently about the murder of her own mother. Adalind never had the best relationship with her mother, especially after she threw her out of her life when Adalind lost a fight to Nick and her powers were destroyed.

Adalind felt like she was on a never-ending cycle of surprises. Since she had given birth while running from Prince Viktor, she had come full circle back to where she started. She was aware her baby would be of royal blood, but she still wanted to raise her child like any other normal mother. Based on her own mom's actions, Adalind was determined to raise Diana the right way.

Adalind's mother DID try to avenge her, albeit for her own selfish reasons. This inevitably led her mother to going after the Grimm, Nick. But, what her mom wasn't expecting was for Nick's own mom (Kelly) to show up. It also didn't help matters that Adalind was angry at Nick and put his girlfriend at the time (Juliette) into a deathly coma before fleeing to Europe. The two mothers fought, and in the end Kelly killed Adalind's mom.

Now, it was an ironic twist of fate that the same Grimm who murdered her mother, was saving the life of her and her own child from the Royals. And Kelly even brought them to her darling son, Nick, the only place she thought Adalind and the baby would be safe. As inconvenient as the situation was, Adalind was eternally grateful to Kelly and wouldn't guilt her at all for her actions against her mom. Adalind personally thought her mother should've been smarter than that.

Walking into the interrogation room, Adalind met Kelly's glance. The two women had a deep discussion about what happened six months ago. But, Adalind couldn't help feeling like something was off; not about Kelly's admission, but why she was so focused on talking about every nagging detail. Especially now, after the facts, when nothing anyone did could be changed or avoided.

Furrowing her brows, Adalind's instinctive nature took over her and she spoke up. "Why are we having this conversation?" She asked impatiently.

With a faraway look in her eyes, Kelly said in a mysterious voice "I had to give up my son because of who I was. If I hadn't of done that, he might've been killed."

"That's your problem...not mine." Adalind said colder than she meant to. She took a breath, "I mean if you're looking for some sort of forgiveness, I don't have any." she said.

"I'm not asking for forgiveness, I want you to understand..." Kelly lent forward on the table. "Sometimes...we have to sacrifice what we love most." She ominously explained.

Adalind's eyes shot wide open as she gasped. The joint feeling of realization and extreme denial shook her body. "No..." She shook her head as she ran out of the room, not bothering to shut the door behind her.

Kelly sat back with a solemn expression. She was terribly sympathetic to Adalind, and she felt loathsome that she was the one that had to be the decoy. Kelly also disliked the fact that she would be the solely responsible person for Adalind's loss.

--

Adalind ran back to Renard's office to find it empty. She grew anxiously mad and scared. She didn't want what she thought to be true; couldn't believe he would do it. Looking around frantically, she caught sight of Wu. "Where is he?" She urgently asked. Wu's brows creased, "Uh, who you looking for?" He asked her. "Your captain." Adalind tried to say calmer. "Well, he was just walking out a couple of minutes ago...you want me to see if I can try and grab him for yo-" Wu was cut off when Adalind ran off.

When she rounded the next corner, Adalind saw Renard walking back inside. "Where is she?" She demanded as she marched up to him. He exhaled loudly, "We need to talk." He said. Adalind tried to walk past him, "No! Where is she?" She impatiently asked again. Renard held her in front of him, struggling as she fought to get free. He looked around them, then back at Adalind. "We can't do this here." He insisted.

"WHERE'S MY DAUGHTER?!" She angrily demanded a last time. Renard regarded her with a regretful face, "Look, I had no choice." He sighed. "Oh my God..." She cried. Renard had to control his breathing as he still fought to keep Adailnd in place. "He would've killed you, and then he would've killed me, and he would've taken her anyway." He explained. Adalind grew tears in her eyes, "Oh my God, you gave her to Viktor!?" She cried. "It was the only way to protect her." Renard reasoned. "NO!!" Adalind pushed her way past his hold and ran out of the precinct.

Adalind ran down the front stairs, across the sidewalk, all the way to in the middle of the road. Looking around everywhere in sight, she didn't see any sign of Viktor or Diana. "No..." She cried. She was too late, she couldn't stop it from happening. The only other person in the world Adalind trusted with her child had betrayed her. "No...No!" She shouted through her tears. Renard had given away her ONLY precious baby to the greedy clutches of Prince Viktor. "No!" She began to sob. Diana was gone. Adalind had no idea which direction they had taken her. With the weight of her crushing loss bearing down on her, Adalind's control failed. She started sobbing uncontrollably and her legs gave out as she sank to her knees. She was so upset that she couldn't even care less that she was in the middle of the road, liable to get hit by oncoming traffic.

In her midst of agony, Adalind woged into a full Hexenbiest, not caring if anyone saw her. She let out a shrill and depressing screech, making all the glass from the surrounding vehicles burst. Adalind's sweet, innocent daughter was stolen from her; and she had no way of knowing if she'd ever see Diana again, or if she'd even be ok. With this last thought, she fell into a deep despair where she could only think and hope about getting her only child back one day.

--

Sweating, Adalind jolted upright in bed. Her breathing and heartbeat were drumming as hard as a freight train. Rubbing her hands over her face to wake up and calm down, she could feel tear streaks rolling down her cheeks. Taking a deep breath, she sighed. She really hated that dream, she had it every year around this time since Diana had been taken. Adalind stood from the bed, needing to get some fresh air.

She walked to her son's crib, watching him sleep peacefully. Kelly was laying with his knees tucked up under him, with his butt sticking in the air. She smiled, grateful that he was just fine. Adalind then made her way to Diana's bed. "She's right there...you got her back." She thought to herself repeatedly.

She lent down and brushed a strand of Diana's hair behind her ear, then pressed a soft kiss to her forehead. When Adalind's fears subsided, she left Diana to go get some water.

She sat at the table with her water, deep in thought. Every night when she had been with Renard for his campaign, she would always spend it just watching Diana sleep. She was so consumed with the despair that she missed out on so much of Diana's life. She feared that it was all a dream, and that at any moment she'd wake up without her beloved daughter again.

What made matters worse is that Diana had exponentially grown in a short amount of time. So what was only three years Adalind missed, in reality she missed much more than that of her daughter's development.

She now knew that when Renard gave Diana to Viktor, he only did it with the idea that the plan would work. Apparently, there was a group of "vigilante Resistance members" who stopped the prince and took the baby. The group was actually Adalind's most closest friends now.

The gang had took back the baby to hand her over to Kelly, Nick's mom. Adalind was grateful that her child had been with someone she could trust to keep her safe. On the other hand, she was still very upset that she couldn't be a mother, all because nobody thought she deserved the chance to be. Looking back now, Adalind knew she only seemed to act heinious because she was desperate.

Wanting her child, she was blinded into submission with revenge. Viktor had controlled her into taking away Nick's Grimm powers, like he had already done to her. After she did this and went to Vienna to at least see Diana, she was horrified to know that her daughter wasn't even with Viktor; that some other people had taken the baby from him too. And instead of just letting Adalind leave, Viktor had to be a royal pain in the ass and locked her in the dungeon; as if she had any useful information for him.

Her experience in that dungeon was nothing short of agonizing and traumatic. She all but had a mental breakdown by the end, becoming increasingly obsessed with finding her daughter. Adalind had multiple hallucinations of seeing her daughter, hearing her daughter, and even getting to pick Diana up; feeling her baby in her arms again, just to realize it wasn't real. In the end they were just figments of her imagination, not real, which cut her deeply.

After days of trying to escape, she finally confronted Viktor, and was told who had her child. Adalind shouldn't have been surprised when he said Diana was in the possession of a Grimm named Kelly.

She was furious that the supposed "good guys" kept her in the dark on her daughter's whereabouts. Not knowing what else to do, Adalind was persuaded by Viktor to seek out revenge on Nick through Juliette. She was on a flight back to Portland within a few hours.

Arriving at Nick's house, she encouraged a fight against Juliette. She totally would've won, under normal circumstances. But, what really threw Adalind for a loop was that Juliette was a Hexenbiest! She knew that could only mean Juliette did the spell to give Nick his Grimm powers back. After horribly losing to Juliette's newfound skills and power, Adalind fled to survive.

She approached Renard, learning that he knew of Juliette's transformation and had sent her to a very powerful Hexenbeist by the name of Henrietta. What she couldn't fathom was why Juliette was so good and advanced with her powers. Adalind decided to go visit Henrietta herself.

While she was there, Henrietta gave her some shocking news. She told Adalind she was pregnant. Adalind was in denial at first, but after thinking it over it made sense. After all, in order to take Nick's powers Adalind DID have to turn into Juliette and sleep with him. But, that could only mean one thing...

Adalind was shaken to realize that the child she was carrying was NICK'S child. Thinking this turn of events was just as unprecedented as ever, she formed a strong mindset that she would get to raise this child; no matter what.

Adalind truly believes that was her climactic turning point in life. She swallowed up her former ideas and acts, making way for a newer and improved version of herself. Adalind confided in Nick about their baby, gaining his support. Naturally, with Nick's support came that of his friends; Hank, Monroe, Rosalee, and Wu.

Inevitably, Juliette was not happy. Because of her new inner monster, she was set on killing Adalind and the child she carried. Juliette was inconceivably jealous, fixating on how the child should rightfully be her own.

With Juliette's story being uniquely her own, in the end she wanted power and revenge over her close relationships. She sided with the Royals to kill Nick, amidst other things such as; causing trouble with Kehrseite and being put in jail, cheating on Nick with the new Prince (Kenneth) out of spite, using mind magic to try and make Nick shoot his best friend (Monroe), and burning down the trailer filled with books of knowledge about anything Wesen and Grimm related. But, the worst thing she could've done was tricking Kelly into coming back to Portland so she could be slaughtered by Kenneth, all in hopes to get Diana back to the palace in Vienna.

Adalind had so desperately tried to help undo her chaos on Juliette, offering a Hexenbiest suppression potion. She even tested it out to ensure its efficiency, leaving her powerless yet a second time. What no one expected was for Juliette to forcefully decline the solution and turn against all of them.

Long story short, Juliette was seriously going to kill Nick. However, Trubel came in at the perfect time; effectively ending Juliette's life. To this day, Adalind is still slightly freaked out how Juliette rose from the dead, being "reborn" into a "better Hexenbiest" as well. Juliette had died, along with her evilness. The great woman who had come to be a close friend to Adalind and the gang now existed. This new woman was none other than Eve.

Adalind didn't know how to explain it, or even how it happened really, but somehow with Juliette being gone forever, with Adalind's shared vulnerability and son with Nick...they fell in love. Eventually, her life had proved to seem perfect. Adalind was grateful that she had acheived everything she had always wanted, even if she didn't admit it.

As for her daughter, Diana hadn't even landed in Vienna before she was saved by the Resistance again. This is where she was safely guarded, until Black Claw arose and kidnapped her. And as terrible as the motives of the Black Claw organization were, Adalind saw them as the sole reason for Diana being returned to her. Now Adalind was reunited with her daughter, having the ability to keep Diana safe and in her life this time around.

Coming back to the present, Adalind checked the time; it was now 4:20 am. Finishing off her water, Adalind went back to bed.

Nick heard a shift in the matress, as well as an increased heartrate. He knew Adalind had got out of bed for some reason. Rolling over, he met her gaze. "Hey." He said groggily.

"Hi." She whispered back. He propped himself on his arm, "You were gone for, like, 15 minutes. What's up?" He asked her. Looking at the floor she said "It's nothing, let's just go back to sleep."

Nick could tell she was lying; he had a whole year to learn and notice her giveaways. "Adalind, no. Something's off and you're not telling me...are you ok?" He gently pressed. Adalind met his eyes, seeing the sincerity in them. Sighing, she shook her head. "I don't know. I mean, I'm not. I had a bad nightmare about loosing Diana." She explained.

Nick exhaled deeply as he nodded his head. "Oh. Do you want to talk about it?" He asked. She shook her head, "No, not really. I think I'm finally understanding that these horrible thoughts and feeling's are never going to go away. They'll get duller with time, but I'll never be able to block all of it out." She said.

Seeing the concerned look on his face, Adalind tried to alleviate the mood. "Hey, it's alright. Yes, I have fears; and I may be driven by them to some bad thoughts. But...I am willing to except that now." She said with emphasis. "Besides, I'm a strong and very powerful Hexenbiest; I'll be able to handle anything that comes at me." She confidently said with a smirk.

Nick mirrored her grin. Knowing she was really ok eased his mind. He could tell by her renewed spunky, hot attitude. He really did love this woman. Sliding closer to her, he wrapped her in a hug and kissed her. Adalind smiled as she willingly reciprocated.

Breaking away, Nick smirked at her. "What?" She asked. "It's officially your birthday." He whispered. Tilting her head, Adalind smiled with a raised eyebrow. "Tsk...Your right..." She said. Trailing her fingers from his collarbone down his bare chest to his belly-button, she teased "And I am very curious to know what you got for me."

Meeting his lustfully intense gaze, she heard him reply "Well, I have a present for you. And if you wanted, you could persuade me to let you unwrap it early." He said in a low husky voice, dangerously close to her earlobe.

Turning her head so she was right in his ear, Adalind teased "Mmm, I think we both know exactly what I want." Nick brought his hand trailing up her bare thigh to her hip under his oversized shirt she was wearing. Leaning into her neck and nibbling, he teased back "You really think so? I'd hate to dissappoint."

"Don't worry; your not the only one here, bud. I can help you." She said while raking her hands to his back, beckoning him closer to her body. Climbing on top of her, Nick left a trail of kisses to the top of her chest. His hands went from her hips up to her sides, extending his thumbs to just barely rub against the sides of her breasts. "Mmm...Do you promise?" He asked, looking up into her eyes.

She could now feel his semi-hard member gently graze against her inner thigh. Adalind arched her back, arching further up to meet his touches. "Yes." She panted before tangling her hands in his hair, bringing his mouth closer to access. Within milliseconds, they were lip locked in a passionte kiss. Needing more air, the couple soon broke apart gasping. She sat up and rose her arms above her head. Nick grabbed her shirt and removed it from her body.

His hands then assumed their positions fully on her breasts. He was gently squeezing the soft mounds, his fingers occasionally rubbing over and lightly pinching her nipples. Letting out a short pant, she pushed him backward on the bed. Her fingers made their way to untie the strings of his sweatpants. Lifting his hips up to help ease the process, Nick was amused at how she hastily tore the pants from his lower half.

Adalind moved to a straddle position over his waist. She lent down pressing kisses and nibbles to his chest. Her hand made its way in between their bodies, diving under the band of his boxers. She stroked him once, then twice. Her small action elicited a delighted shudder from Nick's lips. She smirked as she forcefully palmed him once more, running a finger over his head and smearing his pre-cum. He brought a hand to his boxers, so as to push the damn things off him. It was beginning to become very painful with his now fully erect penis being constricted by them. Adalind then smacked his hand away, and she also removed her own hand from his boxers.

"Please..." She heard him gasp. With a taunting twinkle in her eye, she looked into his eyes. "Please what?" She asked with innocence, but Nick could sense her underlying conviction. Grabbing her hands and pressing them into his hips with his own, he breathlessly pled "Please take these fucking things off." Chuckling, she bit his ear and said "Nuh uh. Not yet, baby." She then sat up straight as she grinded against him, swiveling her hips in a slow figure eight. Closing her eyes and rolling her head back, Adalind puffed out her chest.

As if psychically aware, she ordered "And no touching." just as Nick's hands came less than an inch away from her perfectly peaked nipples. Picking up her pace, she ground harder against his groin. Her breath came out faster in labored pants, and her face was turning flushed. She was having fun, but she was losing the drive to stay in control; there was just something so hot about him controlling her, at least intimately. With lidded eyes, she glanced at Nick with her hands holding her weight on his chest. "Nick...you can touch now." She panted.

Flipping them over so she was under him, he huffed "God, thank you." All of a sudden his hands were all over her; holding her ass, on her thighs spreading her legs, squeezing her hips, tracing patterns up her sides, and grabbing her breasts. Gasping, Adalind had to crane her head so he could access her neck that he so badly wanted to consume. She could feel her core pulsing with desire. He gave her a hard, deep kiss as his hand made its way to her center. He rubbed it slowly, then quickened his pace. Nick could feel how turned on she was, noting how her panties were already drenched. She moaned into the kiss against her will, feeling like she was on fire.

He took his fingers and slid her panties to the side, allowing his finger to rub directly on her bundle of nerves. Adalind gasped as she clutched the blanket in her hands. Using his thumb to keep the attention on her bud, he gently inserted his middle finger into her opening. His hot breath came out on her ear as he nibbled on it. "Mmm." She panted. He looked into her eyes asking her "You ok?" Nodding her head, she breathlessly answered "...Yes." Taking his hand out from her panties, he said "Good." before placing a light kiss to her jawline. He trailed open-mouthed kisses from her neck to her breasts. Using his hands to squeeze the mounds, his soft and wet tongue swirled around her nipples.

Adalind's moans became more profound as she felt her Hexenbiest try to surface from within. Her face rippled with the urge, and she hissed as she fought to keep it on the inside. Nick smirked against her torso, making his way to her lower stomach. He skipped down to her inner thighs, getting as close to her core as possible without actually touching it. He chuckled as she let out a faint shriek when he rubbed his nose against her covered center. "God, you smell amazing." He growled while deeply inhaling her scent. She bit her lip as her fight to control her inner self was weakening.

He sat up to remove her panties, returning to place his head between her legs. He nibbled on her thighs once more, before using his tongue to trace a line over her smooth lower lips. His firm tongue then slid its way in between her folds, tasting her wetness on her bud. She shuddered at his actions and her whole body rippled violently; the Hexenbiest desperately trying to present itself. As he increased his speed of swirling his tongue in a pattern from around her bud, he brought a hand to hold her hip still. He focused his other hand on putting his finger in her wet, hot slit.

"Aah!" She let out. She was getting so close to her release, it was almost painful. Glancing down to place her hands on the back of his head, she caught sight of he look in his eyes; it was dark, primal. She held his head tightly, shoving it as far into her as it could go. Nick grabbed her legs, hooking them over his shoulders. She was moaning louder and faster, her peak about to rip through her body. When he removed his finger and his mouth from her center, she let out a cry. "...Wh-"

She was cut off as he pressed a finger to her lips, while tantilizingly licking his other one that had been inside her. Adalind could only manage a pant as she watched him. He then sat on his heels to finally remove his boxers, causing his pulsating bulge to spring free. He placed it at her entrance before leaning back down on her. He kissed her passionately as he slowly thrusted himself in her. They broke apart as she gasped and he groaned. Her hands came to his back, lightly scraping her nails against the skin. His head fell to her shoulder, nipping and kissing it.

Feeling the need for more, she huffed in his ear "Go faster." He obliged as he increased his thrusting tempo. Still needing more, she rolled them over so she was on top while still keeping the same speed. Nick seemed to be surprised with this move, but he liked it anyway. She was pushing herself down on him; his shaft going deeper into her. Reaching to squeeze her ass, he groaned as she rode him. She kept doing this until she felt him hit her sweet spot. She bounced a few more times, getting the same effect. Moaning and losing the strength to keep herself up, Adalind fell limp against his chest. "...I can't..." She panted.

He smirked as he gladly rolled them back over, keeping the rhythm she had set. Kissing her collarbone he lowly growled "Hold on." He thrust into her at an unmerciful speed and force, hitting her spot over and over again. He tried to focus on anything but how great her sleek core felt tightening around his member; however, he began to lose his control. Nick liked to hold out until she came, but at this rate he was gonna expolde any minute. Lost in her ecstasy, she breathlessly moaned his name while biting down into his shoulder. Her legs mindlessly wrapped themselves around his waist, helping to push him in. Arching her back, Adalind was putting as much effort into their union as he was.

Breathing out huffs, Adalind was still only barely keeping her Hexenbiest at bay. He must've seen her cheek ripple, because the next thing she remembered hearing him growl at her was "Yes, baby. Come undone for me. Show me your inner sexy self. Lose control, don't fight it." At that exact moment, she failed to stop herself from fully woging. She shrieked out as her climax shook through her body. Her grip on his back drew a little blood, but that only seemed to further gratify Nick. With one last deep thrust, he grunted as he unloaded all he had in her.

Both panting, they looked at each other. Adalind was still woged, and his eyes darkened upon seeing her face. Their sweaty bodies smacked together as his arms gave out and toppled onto her. When they had regained a little more of their breaths, she reverted to her human side. She smiled at him and pulled him in for a tender kiss. His hands brushed against her cheeks, running his fingers through her matted hair that was plastered to her. With a kiss to her jaw he gently pulled out of her, causing some aftershock trembles from Adalind.

"Ok...I think that's gotta be my best birthday present...ever." She said. Nick raised his eyebrows in playfulness, "You know, I wouldn't be too sure about that." She rubbed where she had clawed him, "Sorry." He just smiled at her. "Don't be. It was the perfect kind of pain you could've given me." Smirking, she watched him getting out of the bed to grab his pants and the baby monitor. "What are you doing?" She asked in confusion. Nick just looked at the clock that read it was almost 6. He then looked out the window, seeing day break.

He grabbed her shirt (HIS, it was still his! She STOLE it from him!) and handed it to her. "Come on." He said as he held out his hand for her to take. After putting the shirt over her head, she grabbed his hand as he led her out of he bedroom. "Nick, what are you doing? Where are we going?" She impatiently asked. She didn't really care for surprises and was really anxious when she KNEW information was being kept from her.

"You'll see." was all he replied as they went up the loft stairs. Exasperated, Adalind just huffed. When they reached the top of the stairs Nick turned to her and told her to close her eyes. Rolling her eyes, she obliged. She felt as he guided her across the loft, seeming to stop beside the edge before he said she could open her eyes.

Opening her eyes, she took a minute to take in what she was looking at. She gasped when saw a beautiful daybed (couch that doubles as a bed). It had a sleek wooden oak frame, and it was queen size. It even came with built-in bookshelves and drawers! There was an array of pillows and a blue comforter on it. Turning to Nick, Adalind shook her head. "What is this? How did you-" She began before being cut off. "It's a present. I bought it last weekend, but it wasn't delivered till last night."

"Why?" She was still in awe. He explained "Well, I know you come up here sometimes to calm Kelly down, or when he's fighting sleep. Now you won't have to stand up here forever holding the heavy guy, you guys can just sit down. You can watch the stars, or you could watch the sunrise." The biggest smile broke on her face, "Aww. Thank you." She said leaning in to hug him. "You're welcome." He murmured before kissing her.

"And you can also do this." He said as he pushed her down on it, moving to sit next to her and wrap her in his arms. "Oh yea, this is great." She said. A couple minutes later the sun began to rise. "Beautiful." Adalind said. Nick looked at her, "Yea, beautiful." He agreed, while not referring to the sunrise at all. She turned to face him, with a mischievous glint in her eye. "Of course, you know what this means, don't you?"

Furrowing his brows, Nick replied "...No...what?" She giggled as she kissed his neck and moved to sit across his lap. "It needs to be broken in." She whispered in his ear. Nick simply said "I completely agree." Before they knew it, they were getting started on round two.

Author's Note: Hii Guys! So if any of you felt like I spent a lot of time reflecting on Adalind's character development, it's because I did lol. The last three seasons do a well enough job on their own showing Adalind's arc, but I just wanted to depict my view on how Adalind HERSELF views her development. And sorry for the short tangent about Juliette; not sure how I wiggled into that, but I couldn't find an effective way to take it out without taking some major reflection points out along with it. This chapters main goal was to focus on Adalind's character arc and how it is implemented into her life now.

Also, how bout that sexy part? Along with focusing on Adalind it was gonna inherently focus on her and Nick's relationship. I hope I did a well enough job on it; I'll be honest and say I've not had a lot of experience in that field.

And, as always, thanks so much for reading ;) I hope you thought at least some of it was good. Please leave constructive criticism, thoughts, or any other comments; they will be valued.
