Nick sat back in his desk chair. He sighed, not knowing what to do. Lately, the cases that Renard were assigning to Hank and him were nothing short of boring. Zero interest level, each and every one. Nick was beginning to grow very suspicious that Renard was purposely giving them floozy cases just to be a prick. After all, he was the Captain and was still coming down from his misgiuded idea that he was at an all-powerful and over-privileged standpoint.
Glancing over at his partner, Nick wasn't surprised to meet Hank's famous "please screw my life, right now" face. Nick opened his mouth to say something, but Wu came over and relayed a message to the duo. "Captain wants us in his office...now, apparently." He lowly murmured. "Oh boy. Yippee." Hank sighed. "This had better be good." Nick mumbled.
With the guys walking in the door, Renard greeted them. "Evening, fellows. Shut the door, would you?" He asked. Hank discreetly rolled his eyes at Nick while he shut the door behind him. Plastering on a semi-smile, Nick said "You wanted to see us, Captain?" He had to force that last word out, even then it still left an awful taste in his mouth.
"Gonna give us a new case, perhaps?" Hank asked with a hint of excitement in his voice. Renard studied each of them before taking in a long, deep breath. "Not at the moment, Detective." Hank could've swore that it sounded like Renard spit that last word out full of venom. Nick huffed "Oh, come on. You gotta give us something. You know how useful we are. Why are you wasting our time with petty things that, oh, I don't know, Meacham and Pogue could be handling right now?"
Renard stood from his desk, walking to lean back against the front of it. This only made him uncomfortably close to Nick, practically right in his face. "You know what, Nick?" He asked. "You're right. There actually is the possibilty that after all the crap that EVERYONE has been through, I've been trying to keep your lives a little less hectic than usual. I know the kind of stress you guy's typical cases put on you. My apologies, though. From now on, I'll try to throw every single horrific case I can find at you guys." He said.
Th guys looked between each other, before looking down at the ground. Nick looked up at Renard. "Okay, sorry, we appreciate that you're thinking of our stress like that. But, Renard, I think you've given us a long enough cooling period and now we're ready to get back into the swing of things." Nick stated. Renard nodded slowly, "Well, if that's really what you guys want..." Hank and Wu spoke at the same time. "It is." They said. Renard looked back at the guys in front of him.
Narrowing his eyes, Renard said "Just tell me one thing." Nick shrugged, "What?" Renard's eyes flicked to Nick's. "Yesterday, the three of you left 30 minutes earlier than rostered. You guys better have a good reason." He deadpanned. Wu and Hank's eyes landed on Nick. Nick knew they wern't going to say anything unless he said they could. After all, it was his business he dragged them into. Exhaling, Nick looked into Renard's eyes. "Well sir, if you really want to know, we left early and went to 18335 Southwest Tualatin Valley Highway." Nick said. Renard rolled his eyes as his mouth came open and was about to say something in retort, but he stopped. After a beat of silence with Renard deep in thought, he mumbled "But, wait a minute. That's where A Cut Above Pawn Shop is, isn't it?" He asked.
Nick smirked and replied "Yes, sir." Hank slid up to beside his partner. "Huh. I can't believe he just knew that by the address." He said. Wu took a step forward before adding "I know I wouldn't have known where you was talking about." Renard looked at Hank and Wu, seeming to dissaprove of their playful underestimation of him. He cocked his head to the side and asked "And just what the hell kind of business did you guys have going there?" Hank raised an eyebrow at Renard's tone, but kept his mouth shut. Wu just smirked and silently glanced over at Nick. Nick seemed to catch on to the discreet accusation against his friends, and he frowned.
"With all due respect, why is it really your business why we were there?" Nick asked. Renard turned back to Nick, with a look on his face that screamed that he was assuming Nick to be the ringleader. "Because, Detective. I am the Captain and I wasn't asked, let alone notified about the three of you leaving early. I figure that you at least owe me the decency to tell me why you left, before matters escalate to negative outcomes fo you three. Hate to have you suspended." He guilt-tripped. "So, allow me to ask again. What business did you guys have goin-"
"To buy a ring." Nick interrupted. Renard closed his mouth, only to open it like a fish a few more times not knowing what to say. Nick smirked as he took another step towards Renard. "An engagement ring, in fact." He cooly stated. Renard's brows knit together in confusion. "W-what? Fo-for wh-who?" He spluttered. Looking at the ceiling, Nick replied, "Well, seeing as how Hank and Wu are single at the moment, that would seem to leave the only person in this room who's actually in a relationship, wouldn't it?"
Renard chortled "What, you? For who? Adalind? Oh, come on, Nick, that's crazy. You really think that's a good idea?" Hank rubbed the back of his neck while whispering under his breath "Oh boy." Wu and Hank stepped back, letting whatever bomb the Captain was about to detonate happen. Nick put his hands on his hips. "Well, yea. Seems like a good idea to me." He said. "Really? You're actually still thinking that a Grimm and a Hexenbiest are just gonna be able to settle down and have a normal life together? Live happily ever after?" Renard pressed.
Nick shook his head. "Hell no. I'm smart enough to know that our complicated lives won't allow us to have a settled life that's anywhere close to being normal. But, that's ok, cause we WILL get our happily ever after together. I love her and Adalind loves me. We both live in the same world. We share connections in so many ways that I don't think I'll ever get tired of learning about. We fit. Plus, she's the mother of my child. That's the cherry on top. We're a family, in the truest sense of the word." He explained. Renard waved him off with a hand. "Oh, please. Adalind also happens to be the mother of my child. And she lived with me for a whole seven months. But, you don't see her with me, do you? Believe me, Nick, that fact has nothing to do with it." Nick failed to hide his disdain as he said "Well, believe me, Sean, this is different. And, may I remind you, Adalind was absolutely miserable the whole time staying at that house. She was guilt-tripped and threatened on too many occasions. The amount of pain, both emotional and physical, that she had to go through in that house is immeasurable." Nick took a breath.
"Bottom line is, Adalind doesn't love you." Nick slightly smirked. Renard huffed "Yea, well she did." Regaining his composure, Renard took a calming breath. "Listen, I've known her a whole lot longer than you, Nick. So, I think I know what I'm talking about when I say that marriage isn't in Adalind's priorities. I'm sorry. You probably just wasted your money on a ring. It pains me to say this, but I doubt she'll give you the answer you want when you get around to asking her." Renard said matter-of-factly as he went to move to sit back down in his chair. "Oh, really? Well, allow me to illustrate just how much you may think you know her, while in reality how much more you don't SEE her. Cause, last night Adalind made it seem real believable that she was interested in getting married. I mean, she did say yes." Nick backhanded, stopping Renard in his tracks.
Renard turned around, meeting Nick's gaze. "She said yes?" Nick looked in his eyes and saw something he couldn't quite decipher. As he pondered just what it was, the only words that came to his mind were the Dis- ones. Disbelief, disdain, disgust, or...disapproval, maybe? Well, Nick couldn't really give a damn about the last one. Shaking the thought from his head, Nick replied "Yes. She told me yes. Repeatedly." Renard's face became blank. Nick couldn't help but glance back at Hank and Wu, who just shrugged and looked as confused as him. Renard's voice soon rang out, sounding as aloof and neutral as possible. "Well, congratulations." He said.
"Huh, funny." He continued as he looked down at the floor. "Tell me. Do you think it was fate that you bought a ring for Juliette, waited for five damn months, just for her to say no? And then, staying with her for another two years before even attempting to ask her again, which, of course, was ironically put on hold because of Adalind? Or, how about a little over a month later, you slept with Adalind and got her pregnant, leading that to be the single event that marked the destuctive ending betweeen you and Juliette while serving as the beginning of you and Adalind?" Renard asked.
Looking back up at the guys, Renard chuckled. His gaze zeroed in on Nick. "Sorry. I just find it humorously fateful how your relationship with Juliette was technically doomed from the beginning, and you just seemed to ignore all the signs. Inevitably, because of your lack of attention, the relationship failed and ended horribly. You tried to kill each other, resulting in her death." Renard shook his head, smiling. "But, now? You say you and your new Hexenbiest are head over heels for each other. How she's the mother of your child and that you bought a new ring for her, only this time you had the guts to ask immediately and she actually said yes." He explained further, clicking his tongue. "I guess it really is fate that Adalind chooses you, and you guys live happily ever after together." Renard said with a far away stare.
Frowning while deep in thought, he asked "How could none of us have seen this coming?" Nick just looked at Hank and Wu, all collectively picking up on the feeling that Renard was talking primarily to himself, not understanding where his mind had drifted to. Hank spoke up. "The past is in the past. No way to really know anything for sure now." That statement seemed to pull Renard back to the present. He looked at the guys once more, before giving them a decent case and sending them out the door.
Adalind, Monroe, Rosalee, and Trubel were at the Spice Shop. Diana was magically playing with some toys she brought, while Kelly was napping on the cot. The adults were sitting at the table discussing a variety of topics, ranging from Trubel's upcoming birthday, to plans for Adalind and Nick's wedding, to what Monroe and Rosalee were thinking of naming the triplets. "Well, we're definitely set on naming our son. He'll be named after Rosalee's brother, Frederick or "Freddy", as well as my uncle Felix." Monroe said.
Rosalee smiled as she added "Yea. You know, it's funny? Everyone in my family was so sure that out of the three of us- Freddy, DeEtta, and I- that Freddy would be the first one to settle down and start a family of his own. Personally, I never could imagine him with kids, but that's probably just because he was still just a big kid in my eyes. He always respected me, and was never mean like I was to him sometimes. He was the only one of us that actually did something useful with his life and had success. I know it's been six whole years, but I figure that after everything he did for me, I can at least honor his memory by passing down his name." Rosalee's voice broke, with tears surfacing in her eyes.
Monroe walked over to rub her back. She took a deep breath while blinking. "Heh. Sorry, guys. These crazy pregnancy hormones will be one of my favorite things to lose once the kids are born." She laughed. "So yea. Our little boy is gonna be Frederick Felix Monroe. On another note, however, there is just so many girl names that we like. I don't know how to choose." Rosalee said. Trubel looked at Rosalee and said "Well, just make a list of your top ten. Then, if you really wanted to, you could just give each of your girls a name and two middle names, meaning you'd only have to eliminate four names on the list." Monroe pondered that suggestion. "Huh. That's actually a good idea. Thanks Trubel." He said. "So, like, if you had to drop your top ten right now, what would they be?" Adalind asked. Monroe and Rosalee looked at each other before taking turns saying each name. "Violet," Monroe said. "Kate," Rosalee added. "Genevieve," "Ilea," "Anastasia," "McKenzie," "Lyla," "Rachel," "Celeste," "and Jackie." Rosalee finished.
"Ok. That kinda narrowed things down a little. I think I like McKenzie and Violet the best for first names." Monroe said, glancing at his wife. "What do you think?" Rosalee nodded her head. "Yea, I agree." Adalind spoke up. "Ok. Ok. You're making some progress here. Um, now which name do you want to build on first?" She asked. "Let's do...Violet first." Rosalee said. "Rachel Kate." Monroe's voice sounded out. Rosalee turned and said "Oh my God! That sounds really good! "Violet Rachel Kate Monroe...I love it." Smirking, Trubel then said "Yea, Monroe. Who knew you'd have a talent for stringing girl names together like that?" Monroe chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Moving on to McKenzie?" He said. "Lyla Celeste." Rosalee murmured, then restated loudly. Monroe raised his eyebrows as he tried the name out. "McKenzie Lyla Celeste Monroe"...hmm. I really like it!" He said.
"Those are perfect! I'm so glad we got that done!" Rosalee said. "But...I kinda feel like Freddy should get another name, too. You know, so they're all equal." Rosalee suggested. Monroe nodded as he looked to Adalind and Trubel. "Any ideas?" He asked. "How about Mason?" Adalind asked. "I never really admitted it to anyone, but that was what I was thinking about naming Diana if she were a boy." She explained. "So, Felix Mason?" Monroe said. "Or, no? It'd be Mason Felix, right?" Rosalee asked. "Hmm..."Frederick Felix Mason Monroe"...or, "Frederick Mason Felix Monroe"... Yea, I like the second option better." She said. "What do you think?" She asked, looking to her husband. Monroe nodded. "Sounds great to me!" He said. Yay! Now we should write them down before we forget them." Rosalee grinned.
Trubel chuckled and turned to Adalind. "So, I hear Nick popped the big question on you." She said. Adalind smiled as she said "Yea, he did." She brought her left hand up to where Trubel could see it. Trubel whistled as she took in the glittery sight of Adalind's ring. "And you said yes." Trubel teased in a sing-song voice. Adalind just blushed like some high schooler who just found out her crush liked her back. Trubel chuckled. "You know I'm kidding. Anyways, how is Renard taking the news?" She asked in her normal, serious tone. Adalind's eyes rolled back into her head as she deeply exhaled. "Honestly? I have no idea. I mean I'm figuring that Nick told him today, seeing as Hank, Wu, and him all left work early to get the ring yesterday. Without letting Renard know...at all." She said. Trubel's face lit up in surprise. "Wow! Nick just bought it yesterday!? And asked you, what, like, not even five hours later? That's insane!" She exclaimed.
Adalind laughed at her friends animation. "Hmm, yea. And I really can't wait to marry him." Trubel and Rosalee, along with Monroe, let out a synchronous "Awww!" Rosalee shook her head. "So, have you guys talked about anything yet? Have you thought on any plans?" She asked. Adalind grinned as she said "Well, it's only been a day since the engagement...so, no. But, I'm sure that talk will come up soon enough. We do, however, already have our bridesmaids picked out." Adalind's grin and eyes landed on Trubel. Trubel's face instantly turned into a grimace. "Oh no! I can't believe I just now thought of this, but please don't make me wear any terribly girly dress, Adalind." She pleaded. Adalind chuckled and raised her brow. "Ok. Well, what if it's something like a sleeveless, flared skirt, calf-length black dress? That you can even wear boots with? You still want me to keep it away from you?" She asked. Trubel smiled and said "Thank you. If you can find something close to that, then I will most definitely wear it for your wedding."
"Well, great. But, enough about my wedding plans, we've still got a lot of time to think about it. Tell us about your birthday!" Adalind said. Trubel shrugged. "It's on the 29th. I'll be 24." She said, although her friends were still looking at her as if there was more info she needed to give them. "It's on a Saturday, I think." She added with her eyebrows knit together. Monroe and Rosalee let out big sighs. "Aw, Trubel. Come on, let us throw you a party." Monroe said. "Yea, I mean it's the least we can do for you after all that you've helped do for us." Rosalee added. "And not to mention, you're the youngest member of our group, apart from the kids of course." Adalind said. Trubel exhaled. "Ok. If it'll make you guys happy, then sure." She said.
Rosalee started to clap. "Yay! This'll be fun!" She said. Just then, Kelly woke up and required some attention. Adalind got him off the cot and brought him over to the table. "Well, good morning!" Monroe said. Rosalee smiled as she said "It's nice of you to finally join us, Kelly!" Trubel tousled his hair and said "Hey, my dude. S'up?" Kelly giggled and gurgled. "Ok. Now, back to your party. What are some things that you particularly want for this birthday??" Rosalee asked locking eyes with Trubel. Rosalee was determined to get info out of her, no matter how hard Trubel tried to act like she didn't care. Adalind and Monroe just busted out laughing as something they could only describe as fear came into Trubel's eyes.
Nick looked at his computer screen for the umteenth time, not knowing what else to do while waiting. Hank and him had been assigned a case about a heated argument between an unidentified man and woman. They had been in a public place, and there were a few calls from many witnesses that gave some head-turning details. Some said that the woman fled the place in a hurry, and the man followed her just as quick. "So, let me get this straight." Hank's voice grabbed Nick's attention. "This man and this woman are complete strangers, and yet they single each other out in the crowd just to argue about what kind of truck model's better? And then when she leaves, he jumps in his car and follows her? I don't like it, Nick. Something doesn't add up here." He said. Wu rounded the corner with two files in his hands. "Got back the results from running the plates for our Jane and John. Thought I'd oughta tell you in person." He said.
He lowered his voice as he came up beside Nick and Hank's desks. "Our woman appears to be a Ms. Lindsey DiMartino." He said. "Ok...nothing odd about that." Hank said. "Oh, no. What's odd is our John." Wu explained. "Turns out to be a Mr. Josh Porter." He slowly murmured. Hank and Nick looked at each other in surprise, then back at Wu. "No way. Our Josh?" Hank asked. "That is interesting." Nick said with his face twisted in confusion. "Though, I'd hardly say that Josh would be the type to get in an argument with a woman over something as trivial as trucks, and then follow her like a creep." He added. Hank took a deep breath. "Like I said, something doesn't add up." Wu spoke again, "Yea. As soon as I figured out who we were dealing with, I put a BOLO out on their vehicles." He held up his tablet that showed the BOLO tracking. "Looks like the last place they were seen was a red light before crossing over the Burnside bridge. Looks like their headed West, and their speeds are gradually decreasing." He said.
"Hey, that's near the Spice Shop. You don't think that's where they're going, do you?" Hank asked. Nick stood up and grabbed his coat and his phone. "I don't know, but we're gonna find out." With that, Hank and Wu followed Nick out of the precinct and into their cars. Nick dialed Adalind's number on his phone, remembering she had said that she might visit with Monroe and Rosalee later on in the day. If she did, then she should still be there. Focusing on driving, he put his phone on the cars bluetooth speaker system and waited for her to answer. Adalind picked up on the fourth ring. "Hello?" She said. "Hey, are you at the Spice Shop?" Nick asked. "Yea. The kids and I are here with Monroe and Rosalee, and Trubel's here, too." She responded. Nick could hear Rosalee in the backgroud asking if it was him and Trubel asking what was going on. "Ok. Put me on speakerphone." He said. Adalind's voice sounded a second later. "Ok. What's up?" She asked.
"Hank, Wu, and I are on our way. Don't be too alarmed, but you guys may get some visitors in a minute. We're following the people involved in the case we're working on. It's a woman named Lindsey DiMartino, and-" Nick was cut off by Monroe and Trubel. "Lindsey!?" Monroe exclaimed. "And Josh!?" Trubel said. Nick took a sharp turn onto the street that would lead them to the shop. "Aw crap! Are they already there?" He asked. Rosalee answered, "Yea. They just parked, and Josh is walking over to her car." Nick pulled up to the shop and the vehicles in question. Before hanging up, he said "Ok. We're here now. Lock the doors and stay inside for now. We'll let you guys know what happens." Nick and Hank got out of their car, and they could instantly hear the raised voices.
"No! I don't care who you are, I'm not gonna let you hurt any of my friends! I know what you are, I saw you!" Josh yelled. Nick and Hank came up closer to Josh from the back. "Josh?" Nick said. Josh didn't appear to have heard him though, due to the woman's voice ringing in the air. "Well, I know what you are! Stay away from me! Please, I have a child with me for Christ's sake! Butt out of my business, and please, just leave me alone!" She cried out. Nick grabbed Josh by the arm, turning him to face him. "Josh!" He said once again. Once Josh caught sight of who he was looking at, he smiled. "Thank God you're here, Nick!" He said. Josh's head turned to face Hank. "And you, too, man!" Josh exclaimed. "Josh, it's nice to see you, too. But, what the hell is going on? Why are we having to investigate a public argument between you and this woman?" Nick asked. "Yea, and why have you been following her? Even when she's asked for you to leave her be? This doesn't sound like you, man." Hank added.
Josh sighed. "I know. But, she's Wesen! I saw her woge in that place earlier, completely not caring who saw her! She was asking around for info on Monroe, and I knew she was up to no good! When I confronted her about it, she told me to mind my own business. I said that Monroe was a friend of mine and that meant it was my business, to which she woged again! After that, she tried to bite my head off! She started yelling at me to leave her alone, but I didn't do anything except ask her questions, I swear! I'm just trying to look out for Monroe." He explained. Nick and Hank looked over to Wu who had just caught up to them. "Well, Josh, thanks for trying to help, but let us ask her a few questions, alright?" Nick said. "Here, you can stand over here with Sergeant Wu, ok?" He added, walking Josh over to Wu. "Hey, Josh." Wu greeted. "Hey." Josh said.
Nick was about to rejoin Hank, but he turned and asked Josh a question. "Josh, do you happen to know what kind of Wesen she is?" Josh shook his head and said "No. I'm sorry, I don't know. I just know that she is Wesen and she kinda looks sorta like, a cheetah or a jaguar, maybe." Nick nodded. "Ok, thanks." Nick said as he turned to walk towards the woman's car with Hank. "It sounds like she might be a Balam." Nick whispered to Hank as they approached the car. Hank whispered back "Dangerous?" Nick shook his head and replied "She shouldn't be. Not unless she's provoked." Hank slowly nodded. "Ok." He said.
--
Meanwhile, inside the shop, Monroe was pacing as he answered his wife's questions. "Wait a minute, you know her?" Rosalee asked. "Yes, she's someone I used to know in my childhood." He answered. "Ok...how? Was she a friend, a friend of a friend, an ex...?" She questioned. Monroe sighed and stopped pacing. "Well, more like she was my ex's best friend, and didn't like me...at all." He began pacing again. "Oh." Rosalee said. Adalind soon spoke up, asking "Wait, so if she doesn't even like you, why is she here?" Monroe shrugged and replied "I don't know! Why do you think I'm pacing?" Rosalee piped up again. "Well, is her friend that you used to date someone I know?" She asked. Monroe's hand came to rub the back of his head. "Um...well, yea...you know her...or KNEW her, I guess I should say." He replied.
Rosalee's eyes got as big as saucers. "Oh! Angelina?" She said. "Yep." Monroe answered. Trubel spoke up. "Well, what has she got to do with Josh? And why are they both the people involved in a case?" She asked. Monroe flailed his arms in defeat. "I don't know! I guess we'll find out when Nick, Hank, and Wu fill us in." He said. "Well, when was the last time you talked to her? Ooh, do you think she knows about Angelina!?" Rosalee gasped. "I don't know!" Monroe said. "I mean, I would expect her to know that her best friend died, but you know, you never know! Plus, I've not been in any contact with Lindsey for YEARS! She made it clear that she didn't like me, and she didn't wanna spend time with me." He explained.
Trubel looked out the window again, before saying "Hey, Monroe? She's got a kid with her..." Monroe shrugged. "Ok. Yea, I mean, she never seemed like the type to have kids, but people change, I guess. She was also really popular with the guys, so I guess I'm not really surprised." He said while rolling his eyes. "Well, Nick and Hank are on their way to talk to her. Josh is waiting with Wu." Trubel explained. "I wonder what she wants, why she's here." Rosalee said out loud. Monroe sat down, needing to rest his legs. "I don't know...I only hope it's nothing as bad as we might think." He sighed.
--
"Ms. DiMartino?" Hank said as him and Nick came up to the driver window of her car. She looked at them, but made no indication that she wanted to talk. Nick showed his badge to her, and asked "Are you Lindsey DiMartino?" She reluctantly nodded. "Can you step out of the car, please? We just want to talk, Lindsey." Nick gently told her. Lindsey got out of the car and shut her door. "Detectives." She said. "Good evening, Miss. Lindsey, could you please tell us why you were involved in a public argument with that man earlier today?" Hank asked, pointing in Josh's direction. She nodded as she said "Yes. He came up to me and was asking me personal questions. I didn't feel like talking about my business and politely told him to leave me alone. When he still persisted, he creeped me out. He's not someone I want to see, ever. So, I told him off, perhaps a bit harshly, and I left." She took a breath. "But, instead of forgetting about me, he followed me here. I have a kid with me in my car, I don't need this stalking!" She said.
"Alright, alright. Let's calm down." Hank said. "Now, the man in question said that he heard you asking people for information about a man named Monroe. Is that true?" Nick asked. "Yes." Lindsey replied. "But, as I already told you, it's my business." She added. "Ok. And is the man that followed you here scaring you, or just pissing you off?" Hank asked. Lindsey looked up at the sky before looking down at the ground. "Well, he probably SHOULD scare me, but he isn't." She said, with a small grin. "The only thing he seems to be capable of doing right now is, yes, just pissing me off." She finished while woging. Nick secretly caught a quick glimpse of her. He was right, Lindsey was a Balam. "Lindsey, do you want to tell us what you were thinking when you woged in a public place without thinking about who all could see you? Twice, for that matter?" Nick calmly asked while Hank walked around to check out the rest of the car.
Lindsey's head snapped up and her gaze landed on Nick's eyes. "I'm sorry, but I have no idea what you're talking about." She said. "Oh, yes, you do. Listen, I know you're a Balam, Lindsey. That guy that was following you, his name is Josh and he's my friend. It also happens that Monroe is another one of my best friends." Nick pressed. "He's a Blutbad. And I'm a Grimm." He stated. Lindsey's eyes went wide and she woged. She started to tell Nick what sounded like a threat. "I swear to God, if-" Nick put his hands up in front of her in peace, silencing her. "Listen, I'm not here to hurt you, and I don't want to. It's ok. But if you don't cooperate, or you try anything on me, I won't hesitate to have you arrested." He said. Lindsey scoffed. "Ok, fine. Maybe I did woge twice...but I'll have you know that nobody saw me except for your other little Grimm friend." She spat, looking in Josh's direction.
Nick looked to Josh, then back at Lindsey with a confused face. "What are you talking about? Josh isn't a Grimm." He said. Lindsey lent towards Nick, saying "Yea? Well, when I saw him look at me change twice today, he had the same black look in his eyes that yours just did a second ago. You still gonna tell me he ain't a Grimm when I know he is?" Just then, Wu yelled across the way to Nick. "Hey, guys! The precinct just called and they said they got a dispatch message from Utah police department! Apparently, there's something else you gotta know about Lindsey!" He said. With Nick distracted, Lindsey made a bolt for the Spice Shop door. "Lindsey! Stop!" Hank yelled, following after her. Nick turned and chased her down, too.
Hank and Nick managed to grab Lindsey before she could do any damage to the door. "No, no! Please, you don't understand!" She cried. From inside, Monroe and Rosalee came to the door and cracked it. "Nick! Is everything alright!?" Monroe asked. With Lindsey detained, Nick shrugged at his friends. "I don't know yet! Wu said he had some info we needed, but then she made a break for the shop!" He told them.
Wu came running up to the group, panting. "Wu. What is it? What's the deal with Lindsey?" Nick asked. Wu took a breath before saying "Well..."
