Location: Krosis Temple – Entrance

The air was thick with an unsettling stillness as Team RWBY and Deadpool stood before the towering gates of Krosis Temple. The ancient stone walls loomed above them, covered in creeping vines and moss. Despite its age, the temple seemed strangely well-preserved, as though it had been waiting for them.

"Here we are," Ruby whispered, her voice filled with awe. "Krosis Temple."

"Creepy," Yang muttered, her eyes scanning the surroundings warily. "Feels like a place where bad things happen."

Deadpool, who had been twirling his katanas in his hands, paused. "I dunno, Yang. I think it's got a charming vibe. Like a creepy uncle's basement. Maybe they've got snacks inside."

"Focus, Deadpool," Weiss said, clearly not amused. "We're not here to see if they have a buffet."

Blake took a step forward, her sharp eyes flicking across the entrance. "There's something off about this place. It's too quiet."

"Exactly," Deadpool replied, tapping his head. "Where's the fun if there's no danger lurking around?"

Ruby stepped up, motioning for the others to follow. "Let's just get in and figure out what we're up against. We need to know what the Wardens are really planning."

With a creak, the large stone doors of the temple slowly parted, revealing a dark, cavernous interior. The air smelled of ancient stone and forgotten history. Shadows seemed to shift within, adding to the eerie atmosphere.

Inside the Temple

The team moved cautiously through the entrance, their footsteps echoing on the cold stone floors. The walls were adorned with faded carvings, depicting strange symbols and long-forgotten battles. A few flickering torches lined the path, casting a dim light that barely illuminated the vast interior.

"Alright, Deadpool, let's have your ideas now," Blake muttered as they passed an eerie alcove.

"Ah, but of course, my dear Blake," Deadpool responded, walking in an exaggerated fashion as though performing in an overly dramatic movie scene. "I was just about to suggest we call for a tour guide. Maybe an ancient spirit that offers cryptic warnings."

Yang rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress a grin. "Maybe a haunted snack bar too?"

"I'm getting a weird sense of déjà vu," Weiss said, her voice tense as she looked around. "This place doesn't feel right. It's like it's… alive."

Ruby nodded, her hand instinctively gripping Crescent Rose. "Yeah, it's like someone's been watching us this whole time."

They continued deeper into the temple, passing more murals and intricate carvings that seemed to grow more detailed the further they went. The temperature dropped as they descended into what seemed like a central chamber. At the heart of the temple stood a massive stone platform, inscribed with glowing symbols.

Suddenly, the air shifted. The torches flared to life, and the ground beneath their feet rumbled.

"Uh, guys?" Yang said, her hand crackling with fire. "I think we just triggered something."

Before anyone could react, the walls around them began to shimmer, and the sound of shifting stone filled the air. In an instant, large stone doors slammed shut behind them, trapping them in the chamber.

"Well, that's one way to make an entrance," Deadpool quipped, unsheathing his katanas. "Alright, team, looks like we've got company."

The Wardens' Revelation

A deep, resonating voice echoed through the chamber. "You dare enter the temple of the Wardens? Those who seek balance will face consequences."

The voice seemed to come from all directions, reverberating in the stone walls.

Ruby stepped forward. "Who are you? Show yourself!"

The shadows in the room shifted, and from the darkness emerged the same figure they had encountered in Vale: Balance McBroodyface. This time, however, they were not alone. Several other armored figures emerged, their faces hidden behind black visors, each carrying large warhammers glowing with energy.

"There are more of them," Blake said under her breath.

"Of course there are," Deadpool muttered. "Because why wouldn't there be?"

The leader of the group, Balance McBroodyface, spoke again. "You have crossed into sacred ground. The Wardens cannot allow your disruption of balance to go unchallenged."

"We're not here to disrupt anything," Ruby said, her voice firm. "We're here to understand why you think we're a threat. We just want to stop the chaos that's spreading across Remnant."

"You speak of chaos," the Warden leader replied, their tone cold, "but you bring instability wherever you go. Your actions, no matter how noble, have disrupted the natural order. The rise of the Grimm, the unrest in the kingdoms—it is all because of people like you."

Weiss stepped forward, her expression hardening. "We're trying to protect Remnant, not destroy it! You don't understand the full picture!"

Balance McBroodyface raised their hammer, and the others followed suit, their weapons crackling with energy. "You cannot save what you do not understand. The Wardens will restore the balance, whether you fight us or not."

The Battle for Balance

The tension in the room became unbearable, and in an instant, the Wardens attacked.

Balance McBroodyface swung their hammer with deadly precision, forcing Team RWBY to dodge. The shockwave from the blow sent stone pillars toppling around them.

"We've got to split up!" Ruby shouted, leaping into action.

Yang was the first to charge, fists blazing. "Time to turn up the heat!" She leapt toward one of the Wardens, throwing a punch that collided with the enemy's hammer, creating a burst of flames.

Blake darted between the combatants, her blade flashing as she took down one of the lesser Wardens with a swift strike.

Weiss used her glyphs to create barriers, blocking incoming attacks while providing support for her teammates. "We can't keep fighting like this forever!"

Deadpool, as usual, was enjoying the chaos. "Oh, please. They're just a bunch of overly serious hammer-wielding maniacs. Let me show you how it's done!"

He dashed toward one of the Wardens, slicing through the air with his katanas. "You guys are like the love child of a lumberjack and a philosophy professor. I'm here to break up the party!"

The battle raged on, each side gaining and losing ground. The Wardens' coordination and strength were formidable, but Team RWBY's agility and teamwork were proving to be a challenge.

A Glimmer of Hope

As the fight intensified, Ruby noticed something: the glowing symbols on the stone platform in the center of the room had started to pulse, matching the rhythm of the Wardens' movements.

"Wait a minute," Ruby said, stepping back from the battle. "That platform… it's controlling them!"

"What are you talking about?" Yang asked, narrowly avoiding a strike from one of the Wardens.

"The platform!" Ruby repeated. "It's feeding them power. We need to destroy it!"

Blake nodded. "I'll cover you."

With a burst of speed, Ruby dashed toward the platform, her scythe at the ready. The Wardens tried to stop her, but Weiss and Yang fought to keep them distracted.

Ruby reached the platform and swung Crescent Rose, shattering the glowing symbols in a single powerful blow. The light in the room flickered, and the Wardens faltered, their connection to the energy source broken.

Balance McBroodyface let out a roar of frustration. "No!"
