Prologue
Under the influence of the Spell of Shattered Sight, Anna throws her necklace away, breaking it in half, and trapping Elsa in the urn, pointing it towards Elsa "Do what you will, but know that no matter what, Anna, I love you" Elsa told her as she is sucked into the urn becoming the new prisoner of the object. As soon as Elsa is trapped, Anna became confused as the Spell cast on her breaks, "Wait, what?"
"No!" Ingrid exclaimed in shock. Anna realizes what she had done when she sees the urn in her hands. She then spots the Snow Queen and demands to know what she made her do, Ingrid calls her a foolish girl and grabs the urn from her, telling her that this is all her fault. Anna backs away in fear as Ingrid approaches. Ingrid sees the fear in the young princess's eyes, "I know that look in your eyes, you see me as a monster. Well, eventually, everyone will see me as a monster. Maybe it's time to embrace that... And become one." Before she could do anything, Kristoff comes in and tries to stop her, but Ingrid pushes him back to the wall.
"I apologize, this is between me and her."
With one wave of her hand, multiple purple auras came from different directions that went straight to her other hand, which formed a round rock troll memory stone.
"I have made everyone forget about you, just like your mother did to me. There will be no records of your existence anywhere in any possible record books. You do not belong in this kingdom anymore. From now on, no one will believe you, no one will help you. You will be alone forever. You are now a forgotten princess, just like I was."
Then, the door to the room opens, revealing Hans and his brothers, who circle around Anna, "But I was generous to spare their memories," she says as Hans went over to Ingrid. "That was quite the show. You managed to do what nobody could do. You turned them against each other..." Before he could finish, Anna tried to tackle him but was held off by Hans' other brothers. "You dare attack the king?"
"You're not the king!" Anna says.
Hans laughs, "The Queen's gone... All that's left is you, a stranger, and the ice harvester. I'll just tell them you ."
"They'll never believe you," Anna argued. But Hans smirks, "Well, who are they going to believe: A prince or a nobody?" Hans sees Anna's necklace, placing it in her pocket, "Here's a memento of the greatest mistake you ever made." He then goes to Ingrid and asks what she thinks he should do to her. "You're the king now, you can do whatever you want to her. But, a piece of advice...she's more valuable alive than dead. She knows more about the kingdom than you do... Your Highness. Whatever punishment you plan for her, should fit the crime."
"Perhaps you're right." Hans tells his brothers to take her to the dungeon, leaving Ingrid alone in the room. She then uses her magic to extract more of Elsa's memories from the urn when Rumplestiltskin appears behind her from a dark puff of cloud, "I see someone's been practicing their rock-troll memory magic. Quite impressive, dearie." He notices the other purple rock memory stone, wondering if she changed their memories to make sure there was no trace of the princess. Ingrid explains she replaced any memory of the princess with someone else important to the princess, making any existence of the princess untraceable.
She then asks Rumple what he wants, and he explains that he's after a trinket that her niece stole from him, a hat. Ingrid tells him that she hasn't seen it, causing him to laugh and point out that lying is so unqueenly. Then, the urn in her arms vanishes into thin air, and she marches towards the Dark One, demanding to know where Elsa is, commanding that he give her back.
"Careful, dearie. You're not the only one who knows how to hide something of value. We wouldn't want it lost forever, now would we? Though I'm curious why you took memories from that poor girl. I mean, you would have thought being trapped inside a bread bin was punishment enough." Ingrid explains that Elsa has learned more than she was meant to and she wanted them to have a fresh start. "Don't we all, dearie? Don't we all..." he utters, he offers her a deal, "An urn for a hat, as simple as that. And, just to make it easy for you, when you 'find' the object of my desire, just say my name three times and I shall come to you. See you soon!" He giggles before disappearing into a flurry of red-purple smoke. Ingrid leaves Arendelle unfrozen for about three years, letting its inhabitants to be part of Regina's Dark Curse, taking them to Storybrooke in the Land Without Magic.
In Arendelle, Hans showed a gagged and tied-up Anna to the people of Arendelle and named her as the one who committed treason against the queen, and the reason behind her disappearance. Hans asks them what punishment he should place upon the guilty, and one yells to cut one of her arms, which all of them agree to.
Before cutting off her right arm, Hans whispers to Anna, "Memories shape who people are. Without their memories of you, they become different people." He then places her in the dungeon. Hans also tries to capture Kristoff, who, without his memories of Anna, is Elsa's only friend, due to their love of ice, knows how to help her with her magic, as he knows of Hans' desire to rule the kingdom, and knows that the woman he punished is not the one behind Elsa's disappearance, but he can't do anything about it, so he runs and lives with the trolls to hide from Hans.
Three years later, Regina activates her Dark Curse, taking the kingdom's inhabitants to Storybrooke and giving them new memories and personas for 28 years.
In the town, the rock trolls are now humans and own a bar with Kristoff called The Rolling Stone Bar. Anna is known as Summer Phoenix, and she also works at the bar as a bar musician; she also owns a motorcycle, which gets her to places she wants to get to as fast as possible.
In 2001, Ingrid came to Storybrooke and became Sarah Fisher. She takes over an ice cream shop called Any Given Sundae. After Regina adopted Henry he found the storybook, Henry took the book to the ice cream shop where Ingrid worked and read it until he fell asleep. Ingrid called Sheriff Graham to tell him about Henry and he picked him up, leaving the book behind, leaving it in Ingrid's hands, who saw the story of the sisters, except there was no trace of Anna anywhere in the story, she smiles as how the memory removal also worked for the book, she noticed that Anna appears in one of stories with Rumplestilskin, so she rips them out. Henry returned the next day to get the book back and thanked her for keeping the book safe.
Present Day: 4x01 - 4x02 *Only writing the differences just for this
When Elsa walked along the main street, leaving a trail of ice behind her. A motorcyclist drives past her, scaring her; the motorcyclist stops by a corner where they watch Elsa as she struggles to remain calm and keep her powers in check. As she continues to walk, she notices a purple scarf displayed in on the window of Gold's shop, and she approaches it, smiling at it.
Later at night, Elsa goes to the pawn shop, freezes the door lock, and breaks into Mr. Gold's shop. Outside, someone on a motorcycle watches her and drives away as Ingrid leaves the ice cream shop notices Elsa in the pawn shop and smiles. Inside, Elsa looks around the shop, she finds the purple scarf, where she begins to wrap it around her, whispering, "Mother... Father, what do I do now?"
Ingrid goes back into the ice cream shop as Elsa walks out of Gold's shop, hiding in the alley between the pawn shop and the store next to it , she looks at the people outside and the cars driving by, and she makes the decision to find the person who trapped her in the urn and make them talk to why they did it, so Elsa creates the ice wall to find out who trapped in the urn, and to prevent anyone from leaving town, and make them talk to why they put her in the urn, and make them pay.
Later, Emma meets Elsa and tries to understand what is happening, but Elsa, who is still wary, responds briefly. David and Hook move closer to Elsa, even though Emma tells them to stay back. Afraid of David's gun, Elsa creates icicles and causes an avalanche that separates her and Emma from the others. When David calls Emma on a walkie-talkie, Elsa tells her to ask to find whoever trapped her in the urn, threatening to freeze everyone in town unless they find them. While they wait for David and Hook to come up with a plan.
Emma realizes that Elsa cannot control her powers and shares her own struggles with magic, Elsa explains that her parents always encouraged to not let her and anyone's fear control her. "This scarf belonged to my mother. It helps me feel I'm with them, helps me control my magic after they died, leaving me all alone in the kingdom and as the sole child of the royal family." However, the cold is making Emma freeze, so she keeps talking to stay awake. They connect over having powers they can't control and trying to understand who they are beyond their roles: Elsa as Queen and Emma as the Savior.
David and Hook return to the ice wall, talking to Elsa who informs them that she is freezing and turning blue. David tells Elsa that he needs her to find a way out, to which she replies,"I can't control this. David explains that he knows how she feels, "You're trapped. It's a battle you can't win, but it's exactly the kind of battle you have to fight, or you'll die," Elsa says she'll survive, but Emma might not.
"Survival isn't enough," David tells her. "You have to live," Elsa remembers this well because her parents always told her to embrace her magic and not be afraid of it or not let others be afraid of her. David learned this from his mother, which helped him become the man he is today. With his encouragement, Elsa melts the ice, freeing both her and Emma. Back at the loft with her new friends, Elsa helps as everyone works to warm up a weak Emma.
The group tells Elsa they will help her find the person who trapped her in the urn. They want to talk to them to understand their reasons. "They might have a good reason," they say. After that, Elsa sits on the couch, looking at the scarf. She remembers her parents telling her not to let fear control her. They also said she shouldn't let anyone who doesn't understand her actions leave without suitable punishment.
"Mother... Father, I promise... I won't let them get away with this. I'll make them pay."
Later, Elsa and Emma return to the ice wall. Emma points out that while Elsa might struggle to control it, the display is amazing and unique. She recalls Elsa telling her that she was the only one with such "cool" magic. "That's probably a good thing for everyone," Elsa responds, adding that there is no need for the barrier anymore. She uses her ice magic to take it down, but nothing happens. Elsa starts to wonder why she can't take it down, as there is no reason why it should be staying up since she's the only person with that kind of power. Emma then wonders as well what's keeping it up.
Visual Imagery: (Shot of the ice wall) In the forest near the ice wall far away from the town line, someone carves something using the ice wall, they carved out multiple arrows made of ice.
Then, in the ice cream store Any Given Sundae, Ingrid gives an ice cream cone to Leroy, who asks her about the power outage and if she lost any of her merchandise. She replies that she didn't lose anything. She watches Leroy leave the store. On the counter next to her, we see a bucket of unfrozen ice cream mix. She slides one hand over the bucket and turns it into ice cream. She takes a bit out with her finger and licks it clean. She leans on a freezer, covering the entire thing in ice.
