"Severus-"
"Poppy, he's...he's..."
"Dear, you are panicking, just take a deep breath in..."
But the oxygen was not making its way to his lungs. He tried to inhale, but nothing came in. His vision became distorted. Out of nowhere, something like lilac? was floating in front of him and disappeared. Suddenly, his mouth tasted a little vanilla.
Severus' vision cleared. He was in the guest room of his quarters. The child was sleeping, shifting a little in his sleep. Poppy was standing in front of him, looking at him with deep concern. He probably would have snapped at her for looking at him like that, but Severus didn't bother to do so right then. She held an all too familiar vial in her hand.
"Are you alright now? You had a panic attack, dear. I gave you Calming Draught."
"I am quite alright now." His pale face said otherwise. So did Poppy's.
"Poppy, the boy's an - Obscurus!"
Eileen had taught Severus many things about the magical core since he was five. He had learnt many things and remembered them. Green represented the growth of magic, blue represented the magical power and red showed the control over the release of magic one had.
And all the healers, medi-wizards and medi-witches were also taught about the subject, so Poppy knew about the magical core too.
But the study of magical core has not been decoded completely. And it never will be. It is a vast, mysterious and ever-growing subject. The meaning of the colour black differs in persons- either it is the use of excessive dark magic or the Obscurus. It was sure that Harry hadn't done the first option.
And some colours are found to be new in some cores, no meaning present with them.
The scarlet colour in Harry's core was one such colour. It terrified Severus. It wasn't red, as it was a much darker shade than the original colour usually found in the magical core.
"The child's been through enough already, why can't he just get relief from all this! I just can't understand why he can't get relief? The games Fate plays..."
"Albus should be informed about this, I suppose?"
"Yes, indeed. What a silly question to ask, dear!"
"But I really don't want to tell him and yell the fact at him at the same time..."
"Why, if I may ask?" Poppy asked in a chiding tone.
"Well, he was the one to leave his 'Golden Child' with abusers, not me. But I don't know about any cure, he might be able to suggest someone-"
Something in Poppy broke the minute she listened Severus' first sentence.
"We are going with the latter option, yelling. That will soothe my mind a great deal! Albus told me that he was living with his relatives safe and sound, he even had the audacity to tell me to not go there and check on him straight in my face! He ensured that he was not unaware about magic as he had appointed someone from the magical world to live next to him.
And then the flu breakout happened in the school, and I have been busy ever since. And Albus didn't even make me remember about the topic at the time."
"The so called magical 'someone' was a squib who died of heart attack. That was why I was sent to check on him in the first place."
"To be honest, I am glad that she - died. If she hadn't, Harry would never have been here."
Silence ensued.
"Severus, could this be the unidentified damage?"
"It could be, but it was curse damage-remind you. The Obscurus is not a curse set upon a body. It is a parasite that is nourished and grows with the hatred and embarrassment a child holds for his magic. It feeds upon those emotions and grows.
"Also, the scarlet colour in Harry's core could stand for the damage, or not."
"You're right...Do you think if he has had an - episode, if you know what I mean?"
"I can't tell for certain if you can't, we will have to ask Harry himself."
"Dear, have you put him under any spell? He still hasn't woken up!"
Severus gave a little smirk and said, "I silently performed the Dormicum Charm on him before leaving.
"And I wanted to apologize, Poppy, for shouting at you before. Don't think any less of me for delaying his healing, I just wanted him to not be awake as it would be painful and he was already kind of okay till now without being healed...I know I am not making any sense-"
"No need for any explanation, dear. I completely understand and won't think any less of you. Now, I'll take care of him and you go give Albus a piece of your mind! I'll give him one of mine later."
"Fine."
And Severus left.
The letter in her hand. She wanted to destroy it. She wanted to destroy everything around her.
Her feet were the Devil's, thumping around the whole castle. How dare her family-
"Hey Adder, watch where you're going!"
She had bumped into Bill Weasley of all people that instant.
"Shut up, Weasley!"
Bill let out a low whistle.
"Someone's got to cool down!"
Flora couldn't take it anymore. She could barely take his sight in at the moment. She pushed him against the wall and threatened:
"Another word and I'll hex you into the oblivion. Don't disturb me further Weasley, or else...
"Okay, okay, let go of me!"
Flora left the boy to his own business and started to storm, again.
What was she thinking before?
Yes, how dare her family disown her! The moment the letter reached her hands, she wanted to curse everyone around her.
She could do it. She would've done it.
But she couldn't at the same time. She would be expelled. She couldn't afford that.
When did she reach the seventh floor corridor, she didn't know. All she knew that she had to vent her feelings somewhere. She wanted to destroy, to burn.
There was no one in the corridor, only tensed silence. Except she could hear her own breath. Fuming inoutinoutinoutinout...
She had heard about the 'Missing Room' (she liked the ring the name gave to the Come and Go Room) when she was a First Year from some whispering Sixth Years. They weren't actually whispering, they just believed that they were whispering. Bunch of dimwits.
She paced in front of the wall three times where the door to the the Missing Room would appear.

The door appeared. Flora slammed it open and looked around the clutter. She had used the Room a few times for creating NEWT level potions in silence. The Room provided her with all the materials. Snape would have had her head if he found out she was stealing ingredients from his store room just for 'fun'.
Despite this, she had never used the room with lost items. She never had anything to discard. But she wanted to burn. Like a genocide (maybe that was the correct term, she couldn't remember), but of things instead of people.
She took out her wand. The curse for the Fiendyfire was on the tip of her tongue.
Out of nowhere, she heard some voices. Someone, whispering?
Curious, she put her wand back in her holster (her father made her get one) and advanced towards the voice.
On top of a cabinet was a tiara.
It was so beautiful, so pretty, Flora's sore eyes were recovered at its sight.
She picked it up, gently.
And then she felt it. Something complete her character, her soul. It was as if something was empty in her heart for so long, but it was all okay now.It was all okay now.
Forgetting about her actual purpose of coming to the Missing Room, she left the place happily and made her way to the dungeons.
All the while, the tiara was stuffed inside Flora Adder's robe pocket, Reducioed.

A/N:
We're gonna have SOME Dumbledore bashing in the next few chapters, and it WON'T be good! (Minnie included)
I just feel like giving Poppy a hug all the time for being the sweetest person ever!
And I don't even know how I managed to produce the magical core shit, if anyone has questions, I will do my best to explain...
Wishing you all have a great day ahead!

alix33: Don't worry, Hogwarts has top quality stuff for everyone! Ranging from food to blankets:))
Reproaching an abused child is a thing of utmost caution, so Poppy restrained herself from flying at Harry and hugging him;)
And how can we forget Minnie in the revenge mission! Just a matter of time and we will see...
