After a close encounter with Amon, Korra took a leave of absence from Tarrlok's task force. But the Avatar has still been hard at work, leading the underdog Fire Ferrets to the pro-bending championship finals. Only one team stands in their way: the Wolf-bats! Led by team captain Tahno, the brutal Wolf-bats look to repeat as champs. Have the Fire Ferrets finally met their match?
Pro-Bending Arena.
Bolin in his training gear quickly levitates and throws two Earth disks straight at a picture of Tahno on a rope. Mako, also in training gear throws two fire punches and a flaming arc with his foot. Hitting another picture beside the first. Korra in training gear moves a small water blob around a bit before launching it at the third picture of Tahno. Korra smiles as she triumphantly jumps up, raising her left hand.
Luz and kim, sitting on a bench, listened to the radio as they watched the three. "You're listening to "The Music Hour"! Brought to you by Cabbage Corp, Republic City's trusted name in technology for over fifty years."
Korra then picked up a towel as she smiled. "Man, I got a good feeling about tonight. I don't care if we are the underdogs. We can take those pompous Wolf-bats."
"It's going to be our toughest match ever, but I think you're right," Mako commented, taking off his helmet before Bolin hugged him before speaking like an announcer.
"Introducing your new champs, the fantastic Fire Ferrets!"
The radio begins to broadcast static and changes to Amon's speech as he interrupts the program. "Good morning, citizens of Republic City. This is Amon and hele. I hope you all enjoyed last night's pro-bending match because it will be the last. It's time for this city to stop worshiping bending athletes as if they were heroes. I am calling on the council to shut down the bending arena and cancel the finals, or else there will be severe consequences."
"That guy's got some nerve," Bolin said as they walked over.
"You think the council will give in?"
Korra looked at them as luz and kim stood up. "I'm not waiting to find out. We need to get to City Hall."
City Hall.
Korra, Mako, Sasha,Marcy,Anne,Apollo,Chris,maria, hunter,kim,king,deon,eda,kawaki,Darrel,Emily,vee,willow,ash,Lincoln,Lucy,amity,gus,Dani,frosta,rj,miles,tint,the planters and Bolin stopped in front of the building on Naga and bio ship, They then walked inside where they saw the Council talking. Tenzin stands up from his chair to stare at them.: Korra, you shouldn't be here. This is a closed meeting."
"As the Avatar and a pro-bending player, I have a right to be heard. You can't cancel the finals."
Tenzin sighed at that. "I know winning the championship means a lot to you. But as far as I'm concerned, we need to shut the arena down."
"What about the rest of you? Tarrlok, there's no way you're backing down from Amon and hele right?" She asked Tarrlok who stood.
"Actually, Tenzin and I agree for once."
"The council is unanimous. We're closing the arena." Tenzin said, leaning on the table.
"No!"
"You can't!"
Papa come on you have stand up for what's right like you stood up for the monsters in mewni and all the monsters and mewmans live in peace kim said.

Korra turned to Tarrlok before speaking. "I-I don't understand. I thought you, of all people, would take a stand against Amon and Hala."
"While I am still committed to bringing that lunatic to justice, I will not put innocent lives at stake just so you and your friends can play a game."
Mako stepped forward. "Pro-bending might only be a game to you, but think of what it means to the city! Right now the arena is the one place where benders and non-benders gather together... in-in peace! To watch benders-!"
"Beat each other up! In peace!" Bolin spoke up pointing. "It's an inspiration to everyone!"
"I appreciate your naive idealism, but you're ignoring the reality of the situation," Tarrlok explained, bringing his hands behind his back.
"The reality is if you close the arena, you let Amon and hele win!" Sasha waked up. "You're just telling them you're ready to give in to their demands, next they'll ask you to give the teams to get rid of their bending and the aliens next, they'll get the cops, then the citizens, then you all."
Bolin then pointed at Sasha. "Yes, exactly what she said! Yes!"
"I'm sorry, but our decision has been made. This meeting is adjourned." Tarrlok said, picking up a gavel and was about to slam it down.
Only to have a metal cable knock off the head. Everyone turns to look toward the entrance of the courtroom as Lin enters and coils her cable back.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with the Avatar."
"You do?"
Korra raised an eyebrow at that. "Yeah, you do?"
Lin then walked over. "I expected this kind of cut-and-run response from Tenzin. But the rest of you? Come on, show a little more backbone. It's time that the benders of this city displayed some strength and unity against these Equalists."
"We must prevent the conflict between benders,aliens and non-benders from escalating into an all-out war!" Tenzin said, still standing. "The council is not changing its position, Lin."
"Now just a moment, Tenzin," Tarrlok spoke up in thought. "Let us hear what our esteemed Chief of Police has in mind."
"If you keep the arena open, my metal benders,the coven scouts,Lilith and I will provide extra security during the championship match. There's no better force to deal with the chi blockers. Our armor is impervious to their attacks." She explained having Tarrlok look at her.
"Are you saying that you will personally take responsibility for the safety of the spectators in the arena?"
Lin nodded at that. "I guarantee it."
Tarrlok sighed at that. "It is hard to argue with Chief Beifong's track record... If she is confident her elite officers can protect the arena, then she has my support. I am changing my vote." He then raises his hand. "Who else is with me?" Belos and The other three council members raise their hands as Tenzin turns away. "Then the arena stays open. Good luck in the finals. And good luck to you, Chief Beifong And commander Lilith."
After the group celebrated, Tenzin walked up to Lin. "A word please, Lin." They then walked out into the hall before he spoke. "Tarrlok's playing you and I don't want to see you get hurt."
"I'm going to be by your side during the match," Tenzin said, turning to Lin.
"You don't need to babysit me."
"It's for Korra. I want to make sure she's safe." Tenzin explained as Korra walked out and stood beside the realm defenders.
"Do what you want! It's not like I've ever been able to stop you before." Lin said, throwing her arms up in exasperation.
"Excuse me, Chief Beifong. I wanted to thank you for your help…" Korra spoke as Lin ignores her and walks away. "It... really... means a lot…" She stopped as Lin was out of sight. She turns to Tenzin while pointing at where Lin was. "What is her deal? Even when she's on my side, she's against me!"
"I've known Lin since we were children, she's always been… Challenging." Tenzin explained with a sigh.
"What did your father do to make her hate the Avatar so much?" Korra asked, making Tenzin blink before answering.
"My father and Lin got along famously. I'm afraid of her issues... Are with me."
Korra gasps at that before smiling. "Wait a second… It all makes sense now! You and Beifong, Beifong and you. You two were a couple!"
"What! How-? Where'd you get that idea?"
"Ha!" Korra laughed before speaking. "Your wife."
"Criminy! I'll have to have a word with her."
Korra folds her arms, with a smug look. "So... Pema stole you from Beifong. I'm surprised our 'Esteemed Chief of Police' didn't throw her in jail."
"Oh, she tried. Anyway, Pema didn't steal me, Lin and I had been growing apart for some time. We both had different goals in li-!" He stopped as he blinked. "Why am I even telling you this? It all happened a long time ago and we've moved past it."
"Hm, apparently Beifong hasn't.
"What do you…" Tenzin then starts to stammer. "Of course she has! Anyway, this is none of your business!" He yelled before walking away.
"See you at home, Mr. Heartbreaker!" Korra teased.
"Come on, leave him alone."Hunter said.
Unknown Location.
In a cargo area, Amon and Hala watched as their people loaded boxes into armored trucks before Amon's Lieutenant walked up. "I just got word. The council defied your threat. They're keeping the arena open."
"Perfect," Amon said, keeping his eyes on the trucks.
"Agreed Everything is going according to plan." Hele said.
Late Evening, Pro-Bending Arena.
Equalists might try to pull.
"The anticipation of palpable as we are just moments away from the championship match. Will the Wolf-Bat's ferocity help them repeat as champs, or will the underdog fire ferrets serve up a surprising bowl of smackdown soup?" The Announcer said.
"Introducing the Challengers, The Future Industries Fire Ferrets!"
Korra and her team were the first to arrive in the Arena as the crowd cheered wildly.
"Now introducing the Three Time defending champions, The White falls Wolf-Bats!"
Tahno in his team arrived in costumes as small fire works appeared looking royally smug.
"YOU SUCK!" Terra yelled making his eyes twitch while the others laughed.
"Hey where's Sean?" Jean asked making Terra grin.
"On you'll see soon enough." Terra said.
"The Champs and the Challengers face off at the center of the line. And here we go!"
As soon as the match began however though the Wolf Bats started using using some cheating tactics before the Ref called it.
"Huh?" Tahno asked surprised before the game resumed and Korra pushed Tahno back before he started to water bend in her zone but like before the Ref called it.
"What is he doing! He's supposed to let us win!" One of the Wolfbats said quietly.
"Somethings not right." Tahno said before the game resumed again and Korra and her team were actually advancing which shocked the crowd since they won so easily in the past.
"Whats going on?" Rogue asked making Terra smirk.
"Oh you'll see soon enough." Terra said.
Korra smirked as she and her team were advancing quick before Tahno's earth bending teammate earth bended rocks into his water about to hit them.
Only for the Ref to call it again before showing a red flag meaning they were disqualified which shocked them.
"Well folks it appears the Wolf Bats are out of the game which means the Fire Ferrets are the winners."
Everyone cheered while Tahno looked livid.
"Why did Tahno think he could cheat and get away with it?" Reznov asked.
The Ref yelled as he was pulled down by Tahno using Water bending.
"WHAT DID YOU DO! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO LET US CHEAT!" Tahno roared shocking the crowd before he widened his eyes seeing his screw up.
"Busted." Eda said as the Ref turned to her which shocked him and his team.
"Eda?" Korra asked walking to him.
"I knew something was up after what rj told me and they're last match. So I knocked out the real Ref and posed as him to expose them. You'll never be in the Tournaments again after this." Eda said.
However while this was going on anne sniffed the arena as did Apollo before he growled looking around before seeing several people put on masks and covered their faces from the bottom before they pulled out some gloves.
Kim looked behind her but she got shocked.
Miles sensed something wrong before jumping back to avoid getting hit by one of these gloves before knocking out one of the Equalists easily.
"THEIR HERE!" Miles yelled before Apollo blasted some back while Sasha launched some spikes at some pinning them to the wall.
Hala appeared in front of korra and the other in the Arena and she used her staff's power to send wave to push them into the water.
Luz saw electricity around the stands before looking to see Amon's Lieutenant was on the floor under the ring and shocked Korra and the others as they came up from the water. Luz then took several steps back before running, jumped off the railing, and had fire come out of her hands and feet to propel her down at the Lieutenant. "This is gonna hurt!"
"And here we go." Luz said before Amon appeared in the Arena as he looked at Tahno and his Wolf Bats who just woke up and gasped seeing him.
"No wait please stop him! I'll never cheat again just please don't let him take my bending!" Tahno screamed.
Unknown to luz one of the Equalists grabbed kim.
"Wait, please don't do this! I'll give you the championship pot, I'll-I'll give you everything just please don't take my bending!" Luz then saw the Wolf-bats fall in the water before diving to get Korra and the others out before hearing Amon as Equalist posters and banners appeared in the arena.
"I believe I have your attention, benders of Republic City. So once again, the Wolf-bats are your pro-bending cheating. It seems fitting that you almost celebrate three bullies who tried cheated their way to victory because every day, you threaten and abuse your fellow non-bending citizens just like the Wolf-bats did to their opponents tonight. Those men were supposedly the best in the bending world and yet it only took a few moments for me to cleanse them of their impurity."
"Let this be a warning to all of you benders out there: If any of you stand in my way, you will meet the same fate. Now, to my followers: for years the Equalists have been forced to hide in the shadows, but now we have the numbers and the strength to create a new Republic City. I'm happy to tell you that the time for change has finally come. Very soon, the current tyrannical bending regime will be replaced by a fair-minded Equalist government."
Amon said before luz charged at him with quick speeds before punching him into the stands.
Dani blasted several Equalists back before amity zapped them.
"Wait, please don't do this! I'll give you the championship pot, I'll-I'll give you everything just please don't take my bending!" Luz then saw the Wolf-bats fall in the water before diving to get Korra and the others out before hearing Amon as Equalist posters and banners appeared in the arena.

Luz used water to wake the others up as Amon continued "You and your children will no longer have to walk the streets afraid! It's time to take back our city. For centuries, benders and aliens have possessed an unnatural advantage over ordinary people. But thankfully, modern technology has provided us with a way to even out the playing field."
"Now anyone can hold the power of a chi blocker in their hand. My followers,hala and I will not rest until the entire city achieves equality, and once that goal is achieved, we will equalize the rest of the world. The revolution has begun!" Amon finished raising his fist in the air.
Crack!
An area of the glass dome smashes and ropes with platforms on the end are lowered down through the hole revealing an Equalist blimp above. Amon,halaand the Equalists climb onto these platforms and are lifted out of the arena. In the crowd, Lin regains consciousness with Tenzin having the two stand as other Equalists leave. Lin watches hala and Amon's group leave just as explosives detonate in the arena.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Lin recoils and lifts her arm to cover her face from the blast. The entire explosion shakes the arena and the crowd begins to scream in fear and run to the exits. Korra runs off the platform, freezing the water in the pool, and looks up. "I'm going after Amon and hala!"
Korra jumps into the water and begins water bending herself up in a massive water cyclone. Korra erupts from beneath and she makes her way toward the hole in the roof. She gets higher and the water begins to lessen until eventually there is not enough for her to reach the ceiling. Korra then begins to fall, with an outstretched hand toward the ceiling before Lin, using her wires, swings over and catches her.
Luz followed Korra the same way but went to the stands before running up the seats to a banner. She then grabbed it and started to climb up it before coming to a glass portion of the ceiling. Leaning back, luz shot fire out of her mouth to weaken the glass before bringing her elbow up and winced from the heat before it broke and he climbed through it.
Lin meanwhile, shoots Korra up and out of the arena having her fire bend an Equalist off their rising platform and landed on it. Luz ran up behind her and shot out a blast of wind from her foot sending another back having her grab the rope as well. Korra, with slight hesitation, punches out a fireball at the airship as the fire blast knocks the Equalists back except for Hala and Amon, who simply looks on and walks away.
Luz saw Kim being carried by Equalists,she ran to get her.
Korra then looks below, seeing the arena with Lin's police force in flames. Lin metal bends up onto the rooftop and shoots her cables toward the airship. Korra turned to see luz hit an Equalist that was about to attack her while she was distracted as two more Equalists slid down luz's rope and knocked her off. "Luz!" Korra's jumped after her and grabbed her before turning to land on the glass ceiling and cracked it. "(Groan!)"
Lin tries to metal bend onto the nearest rope as the Lieutenant approaches after being helped by an Equalist who noticed he was gone. The Lieutenant strikes her down with his kali sticks, having Lin fall forward to the ground.
As three Equalists rush toward her Korra fire bends at one to aid Lin, knocking him down. The Equalist rolls over and attempts to stand up but is punt kicked in the head by amity.
Korra fire bends at two more Equalists before preparing another attack. The Lieutenant moves to deal a knockout blow to Lin until he gets hit by a fire blast from behind.
The Lieutenant falls to the ground before quickly recovering to a kneeling stance. Korra moves to fire bend at him but he quickly dodges by rolling out of the way.
He runs away as Korra chases after him before he stops to turn and fight her, attempting to strike with his kali sticks which Korra dodges. And hunter runs up and hits him in the face with a knee, breaking a lens on his goggles. "Take that, you bastard no one hurts my family!"
Lin shoots her cables toward two Equalists that ran to help in the fight and then spun them out of their way. Lin then twirls around, breakdance-style, to push herself onto her feet. While spinning around, she bends the metal slabs under the two Equalists and catapults them away in opposite directions.
As she pushes herself up, she retracts her metal cables. She turns to look at Amon's airship and fires a cable toward it. The cable wraps around a rope and Lin pulls herself into the air towards the ship.
Crack!
Lightning cracked as Korra protects herself from the Lieutenant's attacks, by having her arms crossed in front of her; she jumps backward out of his range. The Lieutenant surges forward only to drop down from fire shot by hunter. Korra retaliates by grabbing hold of his left wrist and kneeing him in the stomach with her left leg, then swings around in a half-circle motion, and slams him roughly on the glass ground behind her.
Korra instantly retracts her left leg and prepares for a flaming half-moon kick. The Lieutenant manages to turn around to block Korra's attack by knocking her foot away with his kali stick. The Lieutenant jumps up, during which he switches his remaining kali stick to his left hand after losing one when he falls and attempts to kick her head.
Korra ducks as Naruto jumps over her and drop-kicks him. He falls and rolls over, before standing back up, albeit with the usage of his kali stick as support. Korra runs toward him, twists around to build up momentum, and launches two more firebending arcs at the Lieutenant. The Lieutenant is flung off the roof and tumbles down it toward the water.
Korra heavily lands on the glass, which cracks underneath her feet. Hunter tackled her off as the glass broke before looking to see that Lin was falling after an Equalist tried to electrocute her rope forcing her to let go. She then sends a cable into a nearby Equalist flag having her swing to the stands to tumble on the floor.
"I can't believe Amon and hala did this. I played right into their hands." She said standing as Tenzin walked up.
"They played us all. Republic City is at war." He replied looking at the damaged arena and stands.
Luz slowly woke up and heard a familiar voice "Kid are you okay?" The voice said. Luz opened her eyes she saw Eda,"Great. Wait. WHERE'S KIM?!" Luz said. "Amon Took her." Tenzin said. "NO!" Luz said as she teared up. "We'll get her back." Amity said. "I fear Republic city is at war." Tenzin said.
Back at the air temple.
Luz was curled up in a ball. She looked at a picture of her and Kim she took before going to the tech archipelago. Amity came in and asked "Can I sleep with you tonight?" Luz nodded her head yes. Amity laid down with Luz. "Luz we will get Kim back. I promise." Amity said as the two went to sleep.
