After defeating Koala Kong, Sora, Kairi, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Pikachu, and Angel have made it over to the next island. They saw how it looked like a nuclear power plant.
"Something tells me that we're almost there," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"I wonder if Cortex himself is in there," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"That would be too easy, Kairi," Coco said.
"If not Cortex, then another one of his minions, Aku Aku said.
"And Heartless, too, so we would end up running into them rather if we want to or not," Sora said.
"Great. More Heartless," Coco said.
Meanwhile, over to Castle Cortex, N. Gin enters the lab.
"Dr. Cortex! Dr. Cortex!" Dr. N. Gin exclaimed.
"What is it, N. Gin? It better be good," Dr. Cortex said.
"It's actually bad. Koala Kong has been defeated and they already arrived to the plant," N. Gin said.
"The plant? That's Pinstripe's area. They'll never get past him," Dr. Cortex said, pushing a button.
Back to the plant, a tall and thin anthropomorphic potoroo is sitting in his chair, with his feet on the desk. His fur is brown and light-colored around his mouth. He has dark slicked-back hair, short ears, white eyes, dark eyebrows, and dark markings around his eyes. He also has a long snout. He wore a red suit over a green undershirt, a black tie, and black dress shoes. He hears his phone ringing and answered it.
"Eyy yoo. Pinstripe here," the potoroo answered in a stereotypical mafia gangster accent.
"Pinstripe, it's me," Dr. Cortex said.
"What can I do for youse, boss?" Pinstripe asked.
"Listen. Koala Kong was defeated by the runaway bandicoots and two kids holding key-shaped swords," Dr. Cortex said.
"Ya telling me that those kids are the same ones who ruffed up Tiny, Ripper, Dingo, Moe, and Joe, and now, they took out Kong?" Pinstripe asked.
"That's exactly right. Take care of them and make sure they don't go further than the plant," Dr. Cortex said.
"Don't yas worry, doc. I'll ruff those kids so bad, even their own mudders won't even recognize 'em in the morgue," Pinstripe said, hanging up. He presses a button on his intercom. "Slim, Fat, get in here!" Just then, two anthropomorphic potoroos entered the office and stood before the desk. They took on the appearance of mobsters from the 1930s to the 1960s. One is skinny and wore a blue suit, brown fedora, pink shirt, and red tie. The other one is fat, but he wore a fancy black mobster jacket, pink shirt, white tie and fedora hat.
"Ya wanted to see us, boss?" The skinny potoroo asked.
"Got a call from the boss. He said that the mooks who took on Dingo, Tiny, Joe, Moe, and Ripper just took on Kong and clobbered him, and they're here in the plant. The doc has placed a contract on their heads. When ya see, 'em, whack 'em," Pinstripe said.
"Sure thing, boss," Fat said.
"We'll take care of them," Slim said.
"Tell the boys to get ready, and get the Heartless ready," Pinstripe said. Slim and Fat both nodded.
With that said, the mutant potoroos stepped out of their boss's office as Pinstripe took out a bottle of tequila and poured some in a small glass. He quickly drinks it. He shakes a bit from the alcoholic drink.
Back with Sora, Kairi, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Pikachu, and Angel, they continued on their way, dealing with some security robots and Heartless that attacked them. The Heartless were Shadows and Gangsters.
Before entering, Coco warned them about the dangers of radiation, so Kairi has put up some protection magic from the effects of radiation, but she didn't know how long it'll last, but they had to hurry and find the Keyhole and get out.
They came to a section of the power plant and they passed by monitors which shows Dr. Cortex, addressing his forces.
"Bow before Dr. Cortex!" Dr. Cortex repeated on the screens.
"Is that Dr. Cortex?" Sora asked.
"That's him. No way anyone would mistake his large head," Coco said.
"Boy, I'll say. That head is so big, it'll be considered a continent," Sora said, making Crash chuckle.
Unknown to them, Cortex had heard that statement.
"Hey! My head isn't that big!" Dr. Cortex exclaimed. N. Gin and N. Brio stiffled their laughs, keeping Dr. Cortex from hearing them. "Oh, it's a good thing they're in Pinstripe's section, because that little spiky-headed nuisance will be sorry for that big head crack!"
"Worry not, Dr. Cortex. Pinstripe will make Swiss cheese out of them," Dr. N. Gin assured.
"After all, he's a ruthless killing machine as we designed him to be," Dr. N. Brio said.
"You know, you're right. Pinstripe can make up where Ripper Roo, Dingodile, Tiny, the Komodo Brothers, and Koala Kong have failed. Maybe I'll give the position of general of my army to him once they've been taken care of. And Ganondorf will give me a pretty big slice of the pie has has," Dr. Cortex said, laughing evilly.
Back at the power plant, they were going in deeper in the plant when two bullets come flying at them, making the group dodge.
"What was that?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Pi?" Pikachu asked.
"That was me," a gangster voice said. They saw it was Slim and Fat, waiting for the group to arrive.
"Who are you?" Sora asked.
"The name's Slim and this is Fat," Slim introduced.
"Named after the weight you have," Sora said.
"Looks like we got us a comedian, Slim," Fat said.
"A dead one. Dr. Cortex has ordered a hit on youse wise guys for what ya did to the others, and you're gonna be sleeping with the fishes for that," Slim said.
"Sorry, not sleepy," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Okay, Fat! Let's get 'em!" Sim said as Fat grabbed a toxic waste barrel and threw it at the group. They all dodged the barrel as Slim was shooting at them.
"Kairi, doesn't your protection spell work against bullets?" Coco asked.
"It's protecting us from the radiation; it doesn't work against anything physical like a bullet or a sword," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"Just my luck," Coco said.
"We must defeat these two and move on ahead," Aku Aku said.
"He's right. Those two are in the way, so let's move them out of the way," Sora said.
With that said, Sora and Kairi summoned their Keyblades and engaged the Potoroos. Slim shoots a couple of bullets at Sora, but he deflected the bullets with his Keyblade and as Crash gave Slim a punch, and Pikachu giving him a hit with Quick Attack. Fat threw some barrels at Kairi, Coco, and Angel, but Angel lands an Iron Tail on Fat, hitting him as Coco gave him a spinning kick and Kairi casts a blizzard spell, hitting him. Slim reloads his revolvers and he fired again, but they dodged the bullets as Kairi casts a reflect spell, making the bullets bounce off. She then went for Slim and casts a blizzard spell, hitting him as Sora smacked Slim with his Keyblade. Crash then gives Fat a spinning kick, sending him flying, but Fat came back with a vengeance, throwing his fists forward. Kairi then smacked Fat with her Keyblade as Pikachu and Angel gave him a smack with their combo Iron Tail, hitting him. Both Slim and Fat were both defeated. They took a look at the Keyblade wielders and shook in fear.
"Those kids ain't human!" Fat exclaimed.
"Let's get out of here!" Slim said as he and Fat begin running away in fear.
"Tell your boss he's going to need better flunkies than you!" Sora called out.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said. Crash gave a thumbs up, telling Sora that was telling them.
"Let's go. The Keyhole had to be up ahead," Sora said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Crash, Coco, Pikachu, and Angel went on ahead and right into Pinstripe's office. He saw the group and he growled.
"Those two morons blew it! You two are the little nose whipers I've been hearing about. Youse been causing the Don of Docs more than a load of trouble. And I'm gonna put youse six-feet under!" Pinstripe said, pushing his desk forward and taking out a Tommy gun and he begins firing. He begins laughing maniacally as Sora, Kairi, Crash, Coco, Pikachu, and Angel hid hind some furniture to avoid the bullets. Aku Aku hovered up to the ceiling. Kairi casts a reflect spell to protect herself and Angel from the bullets.
"Man, this guy's nuts!" Sora said. He eventually ran out of ammo and he took another round of bullets. Sora and Crash then came at Pinstripe and hits him.
"Oh, you little pinkos!" Pinstripe roared as he kept on firing his Tommy gun. Coco gave Pinstripe a kick as Pikachu and Angel gave him a hit with Quick Attack. Kairi casts a blizzard spell. "Argh, that's cold!" He growled in anger. "And I hate that!" He continues to fire his Tommy gun, making Sora block the bullets like he was holding a lightsaber and the bullets hits the walls. While he was shooting at Sora, Crash comes and gave Pinstripe one, last punch, making his twirl around and shoot at the window, as well as the ceiling light. He fell backwards in a daze. The light fell right on the mutant potoroo.
"No Keyhole here," Kairi said.
"That would mean the only place to look is Castle Cortex," Aku Aku said.
"And Dr. Cortex would be waiting for us to get there. He won't be disappointed," Coco said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Crash, Coco, Aku Aku, Pikachu, and Angel have departed from the plant and right to the next island and to Dr. Cortex's castle. Dr. Cortex and his two henchmen will have to be prepared to deal with the Pokémon, Keyblade wielders, bandicoots, and mystical mask in the next showdown.
