So...Finally I'm getting to something I've been planning for a while, how Lyle Bolton gets mutated I have been planning this for a while but now with the Cor's Group becoming more front and center in the story and while most of the Mutagen has been used to Mutate Themselves some still have some Mutagen leftover to Mutate someone else as they see fit
"Is this about what happened at the concert yesterday?" Leo asked with a sigh
"More than that." Von Kaiser said "We need to talk about the Humanimals, First Earth and how there is whole lot we don't know about this world we're dealing with!"
At that moment Glass Joe and Dana turned to the Mutants and began gathering them up and Dana said to them "How about we all take a break and get a snack? Our treat!"
But Stripes the Mutant Tigress knew something was up she folded her great striped arms and said "You don't want us to hear this conversation do you?"
I mean to be fair to Stripes she had some issues relating to this subject of being 'kept out of the loop' when she was being raised to be a Mutant Nurse/Therapy Animal this was probably setting off the alarm bells of her mind.
"Yes...We do." Dana said the Mutant Doberman folding her arms in turn "There are somethings that need not concern you."
Stripes' nose began to wrinkle as she had heard that line before but Bacon Bit nudged her friend saying quietly "I think Dad and Leo will be able to talk better if we're not we're not constantly commenting from the peanut gallery."
Stripes sighed and ruffled the Mutant Piglet's head-fur realizing she was right, so the students went with Glass Joe and Dana for a snack leaving Von Kaiser to talk with Leonardo alone.
Meanwhile as Ichabod and Edward Green slowly made their way back to the Fellowship thinking about what they had just learned about Samantha feeling very stupid for not noticing how depressed she was under that smile and pretty face just then they heard some more commotion and they now sharper noses caught animal smells but unlike Humanimals did not have the signature 'under-scent' of amber that all Humanimals have...They suspected more Mutated Members of Cor's group…
And indeed some more Mutated Teenagers were satisfying the intense hunger that comes with Mutation! One who had Mutated into a Wolf was at a butcher shop stuffing chunks of raw meat into his mouth...At least he was smarter than the Tiger and the Otter who were scarfing down vegetables...And a girl who had Mutated herself into a Mouse had grabbed the snacks the shop had near the counter stuffing corn chips into her mouth!
"All right you two…" Edward said as he and Ichabod entered the shop "...We can do this the easy way or the hard way!"
While he initially the two mutants smirked at each other and entered fighting stance ready to rumble...Suddenly they stopped and their fur stood on end making them look like giant powder puffs! And both Ichabod and Edward realized they were looking at something that wasn't themselves!
Ichabod and Edward turned around and gasped to see the hulking figure of Lyle Bolton right behind them! This 'mere' human was still larger than all four of this mutated humans!
"Seems like the old saying is true…" Bolton said with a sneer "...You play with Humanimals long enough you start to turn into one!"
Ichabod was frozen with fear seeing Bolton again, his new cat tail looked like a bottle brush it was so floofed up...Edward being larger and stronger had more courage and attempted to throw a punch only for Bolton to catch his hand
Edward began to sweat, this more elongated more slender mustelid-like body of his was more delicate than his normal stocky human body he was terrified that Bolton could easily shatter his bones in this form!
But then Bolton felt something poke his shoulder...He turned around and saw the enormous form of a T-Rex Humanimal.
"You might want to rethink that…" Said Copernicus the T-Rex thinking for sure that a Humanimal of his species could tear Bolton apart with one snap of his jaws!
However Bolton revealed he was no ordinary man by deliver a swift punch to the Dinosaur's jaw sending Copper flying and crushing a parked car (Thankfully no one was in it!)
"This can't be!" Copper exclaimed "You...You're not human!"
"On the contrary…" Bolton sneered as he approached the T-Rex-Man "I'm the ultimate human! The human who is superior to every member of the animal kingdom combined!"
Now the two Mutated Eco-Terrorists who weren't as mystified as Ichabod and Edward could see that Bolton had simply taken some serious steroids to make him strong enough to punch out a T-Rex...Perhaps Mutating him could ironically enough disrupt the balance of whatever artificial treatments he had taken to make himself this abnormally strong!
So the Teen who had Mutated herself into a Mouse took out some of the leftover mutagen meant for emergencies...She quickly darted forth and hurled the test tube at Bolton causing it to shatter on the back of his neck…
And fortunately Bolton being incapacitated by the painful transformation gave everyone enough time to get away...Even though it meant they would now have to deal with a very angry Mutant T-Rex Bolton!
So I liked that I brought in Copper for the purpose of being the Source of Bolton's Mutation and bringing back the tension between Dana and Stripes as they are both strong willed female Mutants
