Branch and Poppy reentered his T.I.E. Fighter and headed out the door Cloud Guy just opened. Poppy grabbed Branch's ear piece. "Bye, Cloud Guy! See you again!"
"Same to you, Queen Poppy," Cloud Guy replied through the transmitter.
Branch grabbed his ear piece back from Poppy, putting it back on his ear. Branch pulled the ship out into the asteroid field, then inhaled deeply, exhaling the same. "Okay, Branch, you've got this," he whispered to himself. "You've done it before, you can do it again."
"What?" Poppy asked. Branch just ignored her and put the ship forward, slowly, through the asteroid field.
He cautiously traversed around asteroids, especially the small ones, and swerved around the oncoming ones moving faster than the rest. He made it through, with little to no scratches, and sighed. He didn't realize he was holding his breath until he felt relieved. "I made it," he whispered.
"Branch!" Poppy cheered. "You made it through!"
Their attention was quickly turned to Coruscant, as the lights on the planet glimmered and created a maze of lights, with circles and connected strips of city. "Woah," Poppy gasped.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Branch asked.
"Very," Poppy replied. "I've...I've never seen anything like it."
"That, your Highness, is Coruscant," Branch said, in a rather surprisingly gentle voice. "That is where our people came from. The Uscru District."
"The Uscru District?" Poppy asked.
"The Uscru district used to be just like the Federal District," Branch explained. "Lush, bright, colorful, with hardly any buildings and smoke. Once the Bergens found us, they created cities and factories all around us, thereby, creating the Uscru District. The Federal District bans any Bergens from entering the Jedi Temple and seeing the council."
"There's a Jedi council?" Poppy asked, nearly shocked.
"Yeah, of course," Branch said. "I thought everyone knew that!"
"Guess not," Poppy said, looking back at the planet.
"So, what's the plan?" Branch asked.
"Me?" Poppy asked. "Go inside, get to the Troll Tree, save my friends, and get out of there!" Branch stared at her. "You call that a plan?" Branch asked.
"Well, yeah," Poppy said.
"Oh, man, you are gonna get killed in there," Branch sighed. "Remember, we're entering Bergen territory, you need to stay close to me and don't get caught."
Branch pulled the ship into the atmosphere of Coruscant, then continued down until he left the light and entered the darkened area of Coruscant, the Uscru District.
The Uscru District is filled with buildings of all sorts. No natural light is coming though from the tops of the buildings, leaving everything to artificial light. The air is hard to breathe, as it's filled with smoke and steam. There are speeders travelling across lands, but, rather slowly. In the distance is a large palace with a symbol of the Trollstice at the top of it.
"Wow, this place is..." Poppy said, covering her nose with her sleeve. "This place is nasty!"
"You'll get used to it," Branch said. "This way."
Branch led Poppy through crowds of Bergen feet. Poppy had to mover her arm at some point because she needed it to climb a building. She hated the smell, but there isn't much she could do about it. "Ugh, the smell is horrible!" Poppy cried. Branch just chose to ignore her, then led her to a building next to the Troll Tree. "The Troll Tree," Poppy said. "It's...dead."
"That's what happens when we leave it, your Highness," Branch said.
"And look!" Poppy cheered. "The palace!"
"Great observation," Branch replied sarcastically.
Arriving at the castle, they couldn't get through the door, as Branch stated, so, to avoid getting caught, they climbed in through a window. Branch helped Poppy up. Poppy grabbed her cloak before it flew away and gave them away. She put it back on, and followed Branch to the higher parts of the walls. They walked along the small border of the wall and followed it down a hallway until Branch stopped.
"What is it?" Poppy asked.
"I don't know," Branch said.
"Hey, you know, this mission is going well!" Poppy said.
"How so?" Branch asked.
"Well, we made great time!"
"Three days is not good time," Branch said.
"Well, I think it is!" Poppy cheered. "I think they'll still be alive!"
"I think they'll be dead," Branch replied, checking down the halls at the floor below.
"Oh, come on!" Poppy cried. "Can't you at least try to be positive? You might like it!"
"Okay, fine," Branch said. "I'm positive that they're not only alive but they'll be delivered to us on a silver platter!" Poppy either ignored Branch's sarcasm, or she didn't get it. "See?" she asked, smiling. "Much better!"
Branch opened his mouth in shock. Poppy's Hug Time Bracelet went off. "Really?" Branch asked. "Hug Time?"
"Shh!" Poppy shushed, putting her finger on his lips again. Branch shot her a look.
More small tings went off down the hallway. "There!" Poppy said, pointing. "There they are!"
