Chapter 163 Rescue

Wraith rode her speeder bike to fuel station 209 and stopped it in the middle of the settlement. At first everything was quiet and the place appeared to be abandoned. Wraith wondered if Youngblood had given a false location to send her and the Empire on a wild chase or had some kind of bomb set up at the station to go off to kill her or anyone who came looking. She considered leaving, when dozens of humans and various aliens suddenly came out of hiding armed with boasters and surrounded her. Wraith considered fighting against the group of criminals, but then Youngblood and Vicky stepped out on a platform with a tied up and gagged Jazz between them.
"Well it looks like the one we want in exchange for our hostage showed up. I must say that's very admirable of you to trade your life for another's." Said Youngblood.
"Now surrender your weapon to our guards." Said Vicky.
Wraith did as she was instructed and handed her weapon over to one of the human guards. Another guard grabbed Wraith and handcuffed her hands behind her back. Youngblood, Vicky, and Jazz headed down to be with Wraith and the guards. Vicky had a big smirk on her face as she walked up to Wraith.
"You ruined my life brat, now I will take immense pleasure in killing you." Said Vicky before she slammed the butt of her blaster into Wraith's face knocking her to the ground out cold.
Jazz screamed against her gag and tried to get away from Youngblood, who held her. Vicky turned to Jazz.
"You also ruined my life and I would love to kill you alongside the white haired brat, but we did promise you would be returned to the Empire alive. You'll live, but you're going to see your little friend die." Said Vicky.
Jazz was handed over to some guards who dragged her away and Wraith was picked up some other guards and dragged away as well. Youngblood and Wraith smirked in anticipation in what they had planned in store.
Half a hour later, the team of Danny, Maddie, Tucker, Wulf, Valerie, and Crash arrived on the outskirts of the fuel station. Crash pulled out his binoculars and scanned the area taking notes of the guards patrolling the area and then he found a strange little setup in a clearing nearby. It was Wraith handcuffed to a large pole in the ground surrounded by four large fuel barrels. Crash showed the others what he found.
"What's all that about?" Asked Danny.
"If I had to take a guess, I say they're setting that girl up for a explosive execution to send a message to the Empire." Said Crash.
"We have to save her!" Said Danny putting on his mask.
"We will. Any signs of Jazz?" Said Maddie.
Crash searched the area and saw a couple of guards drag Jazz out of a building and stand her in a spot where she had a good view to see Wraith get executed.
"Found her." Said Crash.
"Alright what's the plan?" Asked Tucker.
"We sneak in and stealthy take out the guards on patrol to lessen their numbers, before going after Jazz and Wraith." Said Maddie.
"Sounds good to me." Said Danny.
The little team split up and headed in separate directions. Each member was armed with a blaster they set to stun, which they used on guards they snuck up on. After being knocked out the Rebels quickly dragged the guards bodies away and carefully laid them behind any barrels or machines they could find. Several guards were taken out before they knew what hit them. After awhile the Rebels regrouped and focused on the area Jazz and Wraith were at. A few more guards had joined the area and they all appeared to be waiting on something.
"They must be waiting on their bosses." Said Valerie.
"But where are they?" Asked Tucker.
"I got a bad feeling about this." Said Danny.
The ground shook slightly as the sounds of large stomps were heard. The Rebels watched as a AT-ST Walker stomped onto the scene. The Walker stomped towards Wraith and stopped a few yards away from her. Wraith had regained consciousness and looked at the Walker as the hatch on the top opened up and Vicky and Youngblood rose up from it.
"What do you think? Pretty cool right?" Said Youngblood.
"Thanks to my knowledge and former connections it was easy to steal one of these and now we will use it to end you!" Said Vicky.
The hatch closed and the Walker prepared to fire.
"We have to move now!" Said Danny.
"I'm on it!" Said Valerie as she activated her jetpack and flew at the Walker firing her boasters at it.
This immediately got the Walker and the guards' attention as Valerie flew by. The rest of the Rebels charged in and began attacking the guards taking them out. Maddie ran towards Jazz deflecting the shots of the guards boasters and used them to knock them out. She reached Jazz and freed her.
"Are you ok?" Asked Maddie.
"I'm ok. Save Wraith." Said Jazz.
"We will." Said Maddie.
Danny raced over to where Wraith was carrying his lightsaber, where he was confronted by a guard who pulled out Wraith's lightsaber and tried to attack him with it. The guard was not very skilled with the lightsaber and Danny easily blocked his attacks before knocking the weapon from the guard's hands. The very shocked guard quickly turned and ran away as Danny picked up the lightsaber and raced over to Wraith and cut her free.
"Phantom? Why are you here?" Asked Wraith.
"I'm a Jedi and we save people including you." Said Danny handing Wraith her lightsaber.
"I could attack and strike you down." Said Wraith.
"You could, but I don't think you will." Said Danny.
Before Wraith could form a response the Walker turned to face her and Danny.
"Oh no you don't!" Yelled Vicky as the Walker fired at them.
Both Danny and Wraith used the Force to help them leap away from the barrels before they were struck and exploded. The two of them glanced at each other and then they faced the Walker and charged. The Walker tried to attack the two youths, but Valerie flew in and blasted the Walker distracting it long enough for Danny and Wraith to reach the legs of the machine and sliced through them with their lightsabers! The Walker fell to the ground with a thunderous crash and laid there for a few moments. The hatch then opened and Youngblood stumbled out and managed to run a few yards away before being hit by a stun blast from Valerie and knocked out. Vicky came out next and she had a rocket launcher in her hands.
"I'll kill you all!" Yelled Vicky before she fired the rocket.
Danny and Wraith raised their hands up catching the rocket with the Force before they sent it flying back towards Vicky! Vicky screamed in horror as the rocket struck her and the Walker exploded to bits. Vicky was finally dead.
The last of the guards were taken care of and Wraith faced Danny and the others as Jazz joined Wraith's side. For a few minutes no one said anything then Wraith spoke.
"Thank you for your assistance in dealing with this. I'll let you go this time." Said Wraith.
"Alright." Said Maddie.
"You know you can join us Wraith. We really make a good team and I think you no longer fit with Vlad and the Empire, especially now with Pariah Dark running things and taking over people's minds." Said Danny.
"I...refuse. Pariah Dark and my master are creating a new age of peace and order. I will not turn and betray them." Said Wraith with just a tiny bit of uncertainty that Danny could pick up.
"Suit yourself, but if you ever change your mind, come seek us out." Said Danny.
The Rebels left the scene and Wraith thought about what they said as she found a communicator to contact the Empire forces and summon them to pick up the criminals. The little crisis was over.
