It was a dark and stormy… day

Miss Alice Band sipped her cup of tea and glared out of the window. While you couldn't help the weather, and young Assassins needed to be reminded that not all professional visits took place on dry clement nights, she still had to lead an Edificeering class. And sleeting rain added its own hazards to those already present in scrambling up the sides of buildings and across rooftops. Slate tiles and shingles could get slippery in this weather. Alice sighed again. If she lost a pupil, it was always distressing. All that damn paperwork that needed to be filled out took time, for instance. And in triplicate. She finished her tea and stood up. The bell for the next lesson would ring soon, and they'd be waiting in the yard. She decided to be fashionably late, and allow them to get damper for a minute or so. Just to help the lesson sink in.

Inspired by a challenge on the Ankh-Morpork Time – News of the Disc Facebook group – to imagine which Discworld character would be looking out of a window, in a dry warm room, into a glum rainy uninspiring day, and what they might be thinking about and what would be preoccupying them. Couldn't resist.
