"That was unpleasant."B2 said as he blinked numerous times under his helmet.
"What in the name of liberty was that." X2 said as they looked around wildly, holding up her bushwaker.
"Oh thank democracy you're free." C1 said as he ran up to Z3 pulling her into hug.
"Good to see you too, and what do you mean by 'free'." Z3 asked as she awkwardly returned the hug.
"You were imprisoned in a stasis field that was so effective you were practically trapped in time." H1 said bringing the attention of the other three Helldivers.
"Who are you." X2 asked as she walked up to them, J3 holding his hand out for a scout handshake.
"We were dispatched to this planet after a space-time anomaly was detected in the Hanzo sector and we were tasked to investigate it." N4 said informing the three. "We ended up here and found this guy," N4 said patting C1 on the shoulder. "marooned in a forest." He finished.
"So what now." H1 asked they others.
"Ehh we'll probably be needed to investigate the bug activity in the area." G4 said as he checked his map only seeing it to have no connection. "That's concerning." G4 said before trailing off as the extraction beacon then crashed landed a bit away from them. The stratagem beacon N4 dropped deactivated as the two Pelican ones landed.
"Helldiver you are no longer needed to investigate the area, we're sending Pelican 1 from both destroyers down." The democracy officer said as the two ships landed, the Fist of Democracy having the undergrowth pattern, while the Princess of Family Values had the inconspicuous pattern equipped respectively.
"Alright it was good meeting you." H1 said saluting them with his team before turning to their shuttle, the Fist of Democracy Helldivers returning it before they headed to their shuttle.
Lilith sat on the sofa her daughter usually used after finally calming her down enough to send her to bed, and was tapping her fingers anxiously on the armrest. They left for nearly ten hours and she waited in anticipation when they returned so she could see her daughter happy and reunite with her husband.
Just then a portal opened up and she jumped up from her seat and turned to it. She then caught the scent of copper wafting through the portal and what she expected to be newly made, bloodied incubus. Only to see Elizabeth holding two bodies and covered in blood. Lilith immediately rushed to her only to notice her husband crying. She immediately ran up to Arthur only to see his right arm be cut at the elbow and blood gushing out.
She immediately took her husband off of Elizabeth and started cradling him letting out a wail that could be heard around the camp. The wail also inadvertently woke up Druella who then entered the tent before gasping at the state infront of her and immediately ran up to her parents. Elizabeth then decided to leave immediately and get help for the hellhound and arthur, only to be blocked by a crowd forming around the tent. Elizabeth yelled "MOVE." to the crowd who didn't even care before someone pushed their way through the crowd.
The figure was revealed to be two baphomets, one being someone from the royal makai Elizabeth had seen before, while the other was one of Druella's generals. The seconed baphomet immediately saw the state Michelle was in and immediately grabbed the lich dragging her inside, only to see the scene of a injured Arthur. Both of the baphomets gasped at this before attempting to approach the three to try to heal the incubus only to fall to the ground as the demon lord wailed again, a large amount of demonic energy flooding the entire camp.
The two Baphomets immediately tried to stand again as they felt the overwhelming pressure start to dissipate and began to approach the three again trying to help the incubus. The demon lord then rose from the ground Druella falling to the ground by herself as Lilith carried her husband and swiped her hand creating a portal and instantly entered it leaving the group to themselves.
"Miss are you alright." The baphomet said approaching Druella, Georgia approaching Elizabeth and preparing to heal the injured Michelle.
"What happened tell me, NOW." Druella said as she flew to the lich grabbing her by the shoulders and started shaking her.
"Miss calm down." The baphomet said trying to calm down the lilim, trying to pull her away. Druella simply shook off the baphomet and continued to shake the lich to gather what happened to her father.
Elizabeth then pulled herself free of Druella's grasp and rubbed her shoulders which had an imprint from the lilim. "We approached a camp of order members and they attacked us when they saw are approach." Elizabeth recounted. "We easily dispatched of them and we asked why there was a large number of angel corpses surrounding the camp. We then attempted to get information from a hero that was there only to be interupted by a true monster." Elizabeth finished.
"What do you mean by monster." Druella asked tears streaming down her face as she grabbed the lich again.
"It was like a corpse reanimated but it was just as black as the night sky and the only actual colour on it is its red eyes." Elizabeth said describing the monster. Druella looked shocked at the description, immediately remembering the thing from last night before she immediately turned to the exit of the tent.
"Set up a search party now I want it captured and brought to me." She said to the baphomets and lich as she exited the tents.
"RUN."
"What is that. WHAT IS THAT."
"Someone save us."
A cacophony of screams and shouts could be heard as three tentacles shot from underground impaling two and grabbing two more before the entered the ground again. One of the more braver monsters from the village then went to attack the thing, only for the werewolf to get stopped on by a large claw. The thing then exited a cloud of dust showing it to be four metres in height and a long eight metre body, the tentacles retreating to what was presumed to be its face.
It then charged through the town crushing multiple of the stalls and buildings in its path destroying them as it chased the remainders of the inhabitants. It then prepared to use one of the new additions it gained from the thing that bored its way into its mind, it made the acid stored in its gaster to rush through its body before it spewed it from its mouth into the air. The corrosive acid then rained down on a large group of civilians who screamed in shock at the pain of the acid burning through them.
The rest of the people evacuating then attempted to leave the proto-nids line of sight only for them to get trampled on by a large claw killing them or leaving them unable to escape. The proto-nid then stayed eerily silent as its tiny feelers sensed around for anything still alive. It then sensed a large figure approaching from behind, only for it to crash into him and launch it twelve metres into a large building and a scream to emerge only for it to be silenced.
"What was that." A voice said as she thought the thing to be done with. The woman in question had multiple properties of a animal the most prominent being the two heads of a goat and bull on its shoulders. Another two figure emerged from behind the chimera one being demon and another being a cursed sword.
"What should we do." The demon asked before the proto-nid spewed a concentrated stream of acid at them. The three immediately scattered before charging up on the proto-nid.
"We should kill it, we can't let it attack anyone else." The cursed sword said as she attempted to pierce the nid only for the sword to bounce simply off the thick exoskeleton. The prot-nid then attempted to roll onto its front making the demon jump back from the extraterrestrial body, before casting a fire spell onto the nid. The effect was instantaneous as the nid felt the explosion from the demons magic as flames spread over the top of its body, only for it to start bucking wildly trying to attack the three.
Tyranny Incarnate then charged at the chimera flinging her away by thirty metres and making her gasp as her left lung was perforated by the charge. The two gasped at this and ran up to their fellow grabbing her before making a portal out of there. Tyranny Incarnate then stopped charging as the flames on it began to be extinguished as it approached the half melted corpses before it began consuming some of them to repair the damage from the flames. Tyranny Incarnate then stopped eating the partially melted corpses before it then started to search for the ones with the energy it was captivated with.
Its search lasted for a whole hour as the sun began to set as it consumed twenty five of the things before it decided to grab a few of the human corpses and take them back to its nest.
"Construction of Detector Tower completed." A troppee reported to the commissar who over saw the continuous production from ten fabricators which was creating a infinite amount of troopers. The commissar nodded to the trooper who returned to its fellows gaurding the area, as they started chanting as they surveyed their camp. The commissar turned away from the fabricators to the finished construction of multiple tanks and a skeleton of a factory strider.
"Commissar 84#354, report on construction of foothold on planet." The booming voice of J.O.E.L said through the comms as he took over one of the commisars optics as he surveyed the outpost.
"Mega structure is practically completed, next objective start creating subterranean outposts to avoid detection." The commissar said as it listed its remaining objectives.
"I have sent a larger force to the planet to assist you." J.O.E.L finished as the communications ended leaving the commissar to its socialist programming.
It simply turned to the drills that were being stored in the open. "Soldiers enter drills and begin creation of subterranean outposts. For Cyberstan." It finished, the scouts immediately going to the drills and entering them still chanting as they began to drill down as three automaton fleet destroyers FTL jumped to the planet.
The commissars attentionthen went to the captives and corpses for examination. As it approached it heard the cries of, "Please let me out." From a small girl with sheep features who had incessantly shook the bars to her cage or wailed since her containment. The commissar nodded towards a hulk scorcher as it started to spin the jigsaw scaring the girl into silence.
"Shut up. NOW." The commissar said to the weresheep who immediately stayed quiet as the commissar looked up to see the fleet destroyers descend to the outpost.
"HeRE." The thing said as it bent down holding out its arm for the petrified girl to grab onto and help her up. The girl then immediately bolted up and gave the undead a wide berth as she scrambled for her sword. The undead then decided to stay back and tried to placate the girl by holding its hand up as she grabbed her sword and held it up.
"St-St-Stand back monster." She said as she watched the 'undead' hold its arms up as a few drips of blood dropped onto the floor. She stepped back more eyes still trained on the 'undead' as she attempted to pick up a soldier that was unconscious from the fight.
"FriENDly." It said still trying to placate the young heroine who looked in fear at it.
"Just stay back." She said as she placed the man she held onto, propping him up on a crate. The undead then attempted to appease her again as it walked up to three soldiers picking them up simply, Wilmarina still holding up her sword in defence as it entered the camp before carefully placing the soldiers onto a carriage wheel or barrels dotted around the camp.
"WiLL hElP." It said as he moved to grab more of the soldiers bringing them to the camp, Wilmarina lowering her sword as she saw the undead bring all of her troops into the camp. "LeaVe WHeN CaN." It said. "MorE CoME." It said as it then walked off into the woods leaving Wilmarina bewildered at the thing that saved her and her men simply walk off.
"Helldiver we are preparing for a FTL jump back to Super Earth. High command has given us a order for you to return to Super Earth so we can update the ships software and by extension the will get all ship module upgrades for you." The Democracy Officer said as he informed the four divers who walked up to the bridge ready for their next mission. "I presume you should feel very privileged right now." The officer finished as he turned to the staff to prepare the jump.
"How long will we be on Super Earth sir." C1 asked the officer.
"The estimated time will be a week and a half, not for the upgrades but for the examination of the samples you have collected and footage." The officer said turning back before continuing to talk to the bridge crew. "We will follow our fellow citizens back to Super Earth where you will all be rewarded with the completion of all available warbonds."
The four stayed silent as they heard the bombshell the Democracy dropped on them. Z3 was the first to make a sound as she screamed. "SWEET LIBERTY. HELL YEAH." With her jumping up into the air the others all celebrating as well when the shock wore off.
"I would prefer you would do your jubilations somewhere else." The Democracy Officer said as the four walked off to the main deck all still talking about the fact all their warbonds would be paid for. The four then continued on to the canteen, the Ship Master not being present as they went on their way to it.
"Man that is amazing. Do you think the other four will get their warbonds filled in." X2 asked as they continued to walk through the hallway to the canteen.
"Maybe. But why are we getting our warbonds filled in." G4 asked the other three.
"Why are you complaining, we're getting a better chance to spread democracy and look cool while doing it." X3 said as they walked up to the automated doors before all four of them entering the canteen.
"What do you think they're doing for today." C1 asked the others only to be met with shrugs as they removed their helmets and placed it on their belts. The four approached the chef as they smelt the smell of Szechuan Beef and shrimp fried rice, emanating from the kitchen as they all grabbed a tray as they stood ready for the chef to give them their food.
"Hey Riley, how you doing." N4 asked Riley who turned to face them grinning as he saw the four.
"Good to see you're back." Riley said as he placed the plates of Szechuan Beef and shrimp fried rice onto their trays. "So I heard the news." He said grinning to the four.
"Wait, how did you here about that." Z3 asked as she was given a bottle of ice tea and her picking up her tray.
"Everyone has heard about the travel and stay at Super Earth, and your reward once we arrive." Riley finished as they all were handed their drinks with them turning to leave.
"So what are you going to do when we arrive back at Super Earth." X2 asked the other three.
"I'll see if I can go to Prosperity City. I want to see the most democratic piece of land in the universe." G4 said as he began to eat his meal.
Z3 then began to speak with it being muffled as she had her mouth full with Szechuan, causing her to stop and swallow the food as shespoke. "I'll probably go to the first galactic war memorials." She said. "Then I'll probably go to sector 4 for the food and explore old Super Earth history" She said. The other three then turned to C1 who took a gulp of his food.
"Me," C1 then paused at this. "I'll probably go back to my family's while we're there. Haven't seen them since my training." C1 said as he smiled as he reminisced on his family.
AN: I know it's a short chapter but I want to be in more recent major orders because of the Omens of Tyranny release.
