"Dad?" tears streaming down her face, the teen turned her head towards the crestfallen man and her lip trembled. "C-can I even still call you that?" Her voice cracked and she could taste salt as one of her tears entered her mouth. "Please? Please don't stop being my dad."

Shocked at what they were hearing, both parents stiffened. Wide eyed they both look to her, unable to speak as their brains tried to wrack what they just heard. It only took moments until confusion quickly melded away to hurt, which combined with deep realization.

"You know?" Her mother's gentle voice asked as the arms around her tightened. With a sniffle, Ashlen shifted her face back towards her and buried it into her chest.

"That I'm not biologically your daughter? Or that I'm not actually human?" Hearing their fear confirmed only hurt worse and the teen felt her mother stiffen and shake, though her arms didn't loosen even a little. If anything, they became tighter.

"But... how?" That was her 'father's' voice and, though a part of her still felt afraid of being rejected, Ashlen shifted her head in his direction. Through her crying and mother's heartbeat, she hadn't noticed he had gotten closer. Unable to help herself, her lip twitched.

"Heh," She chuckled and sniffled, ignoring the bit of snot in favor of not letting go of her mother. "It's a.. complicated story."

Complicated didn't even cover it. She was essentially an alien. Or half alien anyways. Truthfully there was so much she still didn't know. It was all one big headache before and it was still one big headache now. Even more so now, given the emotions behind everything. Fortunately she wouldn't have to explain everything on her own, but that itself would come much later.

"I just don't want to lose you again." She continued, no longer smiling as her tears became heavier. She chocked on a sob and coughed a bit but chocked on that as well as a second pair of arms surprised her as they quickly joined her mothers.

"I would never stop being your father. It doesn't matter who or what you are. You are still our daughter and that will never change." Her father's voice, soft and silky, whispered tenderly yet firmly by her ear. Clenching her teeth tightly together, tears streamed even heavier down her face and she shook as she otherwise embraced her parent's loving embrace.

"We're so sorry, Ashlen." Her mother whispered and the teen felt two pairs of arms tighten around her as she was sandwiched between two bodies. "We always planned on telling you the truth at some point. We never wanted you to feel like we didn't love you. We don't care what you really are or where you came from. We will always be your parents and," her mother's voice cracked slightly and she herself sniffled as she placed the her face on the top of her daughter's head. "We will always love you. No matter what."

This is a small prompt I wrote at random based on my A Past Better forgotten OC. While I don't know if I'll ever finish the story, as I didn't really know where I wanted to take it aside a few scenes, this OC is someone I had been thinking about lately. Pretty much thinking over her character and want I want to do with her. Essentially... she's a "Sari Sumdac" in that it turns out she's a Techno-Organic. Her mother found what she believed was an abandoned mannikin laying on the side of the road and, once it was touched, it turned into a few month old baby. Like 'Sari' Ashlen grew up unaware of this until accidentally being upgraded by the Megnus hammer (or however it's spelt again). Before that she has little to no access to her Cybertronian form, aside her transformation abilities. In short, because of the experiments done on her, her T-Cog became corrupted. I'm workiing on a Bio I may or may not post at some point, if anyone ever reads this itself. I am pretty much posting it for anyone who does but also myself so I can come back and read it in case it gets deleted off my computer.

Anyways, this scene here is when she finally reunites with her parents and is terrified her father, who had no hand in her 'creation', will reject her.
