The day had finally come, Midoriya stood on his balcony and took a deep breath of the morning air. Whether his plan succeeded or failed, he knew this would be one of his last breaths of fresh air. He stood there silently, taking in the beauty of the morning sky. His mind started to wonder what Kendo would be doing at this time, but he quickly shook those thoughts from his head. Right now he needed to keep his attention fixed on his mission. With a sigh, he made his way inside to get ready.

As Midoriya made his way to the compound, he could sense a tension in the air. While the people he passed all acted like they usually did, he noticed an increase of policemen in the area. It wasn't anything major, the only reason he could tell there was more was because one of his jobs was to monitor heroes and police that had interest in the compound. Seeing the increase of officers brought a smile to his face, it seemed as if Bubble Girl had taken their conversation seriously. Not wanting to risk anything, Midoriya ducked into an alleyway and took a hidden passage into the compound.

When he made it into the underground labyrinth he headed straight for the room that the boss was being kept in. Once he was in the room he pulled up his usual chair and sat at the bedside. He had done this almost daily since the boss had gone into a coma, and each time words came to his mind with ease. This time however, he struggled to find the words to say. It was always hard to say goodbye.

"Hey Gramps, I'm… I'm gonna do something really stupid today."

He took a deep breath as his hands began to shake.

"I know you're not going to approve of my choice, but I've made peace with that. I'm sure that you'll be pissed when you wake up, just try not to go overboard."

Midoriya's hands stopped shaking as he clenched them.

"I promise that I won't let anything bad happen to Eri. I'll keep her safe so she can grow up and have a normal life. It's the least I can do for her after everything she's been through."

Midoriya's hand relaxed as they fell to his sides. "I know Kai was like a son to you, but I can't forgive him. I'm going to kill him and anyone else that follows him. That way when you do wake up all the people that are left will be loyal to you."

With a sigh Midoriya stood up and made his way to the door. "I should really get going, I'll try to keep the noise down."

Midoriya's hand stopped short of the door as he felt a lump well up in his throat. "I truly do appreciate everything you did for me Gramps, I won't forgive your kindness. Goodbye."

With his goodbye said and done Midoriya left the room to continue his goal. He felt a bit of a weight lift off his shoulders as the door closed. With another sigh he looked up to see two people waiting for him. Both Toga and Twice were staring at him with curiosity.

"Hey Mr. Phoenix, what do you have planned for us today? Do we get to do something fun or do we have to do stupid classes again?" Toga skipped up to him with her usual infatuated smile.

"I don't know, the classes aren't that bad." "The classes suck they're so boring!"

Midoriya looked between the two of them as they continued to go back and forth with each other. After a moment of thinking he put a hand on each of their shoulders, getting their full attention.

"Who do you plan to follow, Shigaraki or Kai?"

Toga smiled ferally as her face lit up. "I do whatever I want, when I want, but if I had to choose I'd pick Shigaraki. He lets me have a lot more fun."

Midoriya nodded as he turned his attention to Twice. "And you?"

Twice pointed his thumb to his chests. "I go where she goes."

Midoriya nodded as he took his hands off their shoulders. "I recommend leaving then, if I see you again on my way back I'll kill you both without a second thought."

The intensity in his eyes and sincerity in his voice sent a shiver down both of their spines. Without hesitation they took off down the hallway, hoping to stay out of his path of rampage.

When the two of them were finally out of sight Midoriya turned around and made his way deeper into the compound. The halls were strangely quiet, he figured that the signs of a potential raid would have put everyone on high alert, but it didn't seem that way. He ran into a few members from time to time, advising each of them to gather everyone in the meeting hall. With word that Midoriya was going to gather everyone for a meeting starting to spread, he knew that it was finally time.

Midoriya took out his phone and made a call.

"What do you want, Phoenix?"

"I'm calling a meeting for grunts, I'd recommend you get the rest of the Eight Bullets ready."

The other end went quiet for a moment, Midoriya could picture Kai's confused expression perfectly.

"Why would I do that?"

"I noticed something odd when I was coming in. There were more police patrolling than usual around the compound, they may be planning something."

"Are you sure?"

"I know there were more police for certain, whether they know about us is unknown. I'd rather stay on the side of caution."

"I would agree with that. Very well, I'll get the Eight Bullets in place and you can handle the others."

"Will do, but will you send Katsukame to the meeting hall when you're done with them. I'd like him to help hold off the initial wave if it comes to it."

"Fine."

The call went silent and Midoriya let out a deep sigh. With that out of the way, he went to Eri's room to check on her. Inside her room, Midorya found Eri sitting at her desk coloring away. He smiled as he felt a tear start to run down his check. As he approached, she looked over shoulder revealing a huge smile as she lifted up a piece of paper. On it was a drawing of three people standing next to each other. There was a person with green hair, someone with long orange hair, and in between them was a smaller person with a single horn on their forehead.

Seeing this picture, Midoriya could no longer hold back his tears. He had tried his best to maintain his composure, but Eri had broken him. He sat on the bed and put his face into his hands, trying to calm himself down. The feeling of small arms wrapping around him brought him back to his senses.

Wiping away his tears, he smiled and placed a hand on Eri's head. "Thank you, Eri. That truly was a beautiful picture you drew."

Eri looked up at him with eyes filled with concern. "Is everything ok?"

Midoriya nodded as he ruffled her hair slightly. "Yeah, it's just going to be a stressful day."

Eri hugged him tighter as if she was trying to squeeze any and all stress out of him. Midoriya returned the gesture before standing up. Feeling him get up, Eri looked at him still worried if he was really alright.

"I'll be back in a little bit, Eri, I have some things to take care of. Once I'm done we'll go outside ok."

Eri nodded as she watched Midoriya walk out the door. She knew he was lying about being alright, but she didn't want to add to his stress, so she kept quiet.

As Midoriya walked the halls, he ignited his mask covering it in flames. Any tears that were left immediately evaporated leaving no traces of them. He let out a sigh as he continued to walk, the time he spent with Eri was much shorter than what he had hoped for, but her drawing had caught him completely off guard. There were things he wanted to say to her, but those would have to wait till after he was done.

Eventually, Midoriya came across his first victim, Mimic. The short man was leaning up against the wall with a syringe in his hands.

"What the hell are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be telling the nobodys what to do right now?"

Midoriya eyed the syringe, he knew it was a quirk enhancer. He figured he was told to wait here and use it if the police and heroes actually did raid the compound. He probably would use his quirk to split them up and force them to the Eight Bullets.

"Are the rest of Bullets in their usual places?"

Mimic scoffed. "You'd know if you had been at the meeting, but yeah they're all where they're supposed to be, minus Katsukame, he's at the meeting hall."

Midoriya smiled under his mask. "Are Kai and Kurono making their way out now?"

Mimic only nodded in return. Having gotten all the information he needed, Midoriya walked past him. As Midoruya crossed his face, Mimic spontaneously combusted into a raging inferno. His scream lasted only a moment before he fell to the floor, a charred corpse waiting to be found.

Midoriya didn't stop, he kept his path straight towards Kai. He didn't have time to slow down, if he hesitated he could miss Kai entirely and his perfect chance to end everything would be gone. After a few minutes of walking he encountered Nemoto and Sakaki. He spared them a quick glance.

"Is Kai close?"

Nemoto nodded. "Yes, he's not too far, if you're quick you'll be able to catch hi-"

Midoriya had heard what he needed too and quickly ignited them before they could finish their sentence.

Nemoto collapsed and Sakaki fell to the ground from the ceiling, his bottle of alcohol smashed before igniting itself from the flames of its previous owner.

Quickening his pace Midoriya continued down the halls, eventually he came to a larger open room. In the center of the room was Kai and Kurono, Midoriya let out a sigh of relief before he put his hands in his pockets. He slowled to his usual pace before calling out to the two of them.

"Hey, wait up a second."

The two of them stopped and turned to see Midoriya approaching them. Kai narrowed his eyes on Midoriya, he felt something was off when he noticed Eri wasn't with him.

"Phoenix, where's Eri?"

"She's in her room, I'll be taking her out of a different exit."

Kai and Kurono kept their eyes locked on Midoriya. "Then why are you here? If what you said is true, then there's not much time until they start their search."

Midoriya nodded in agreement. "I know, but I wanted to get any of the completed bullets and antidotes from you."

Kai's eyes narrowed further on him. "And why would I do that? I can guarantee that they are much safer on me."

"Better protected, yes. Safer, that's just not true. They probably have people stationed all over the city. If they recognize you, they may ask to search you. They'll either find the bullets and confiscate them, or you kill them which would create even more problems."

Kai groaned as he looked at the exit impatiently. "Maybe, but how would you be able to keep them safer?"

"I didn't take Eri outside just so she could get fresh air. I've been seen by countless officers and heroes with her, they'd have no reason to suspect me of anything if they saw us walking around again."

Kai looked over at Kurono who gave him a nod. With a sigh, Kai reached into his pocket and pulled out a small case. He extended it towards Midoriya. "Phoenix, if you lose or break these there will be hell to pay. It took almost two months of constant testing to just make these six rounds."

Midoriya smiled as he reached to take the bullets from him. Once they were in his hand, Midoriya slipped the test bullet from the USJ out of his hoodie sleeve and injected the needle into Kai's hand.

The sudden injection caused Kai to jump back. His eyes pierced through Midoriya, before being drawn to the small red cylinder on the ground. His eyes widened as he immediately recognized what it was. Panic set in as he tried to use his quick, but nothing happened.

"Kurono, kill him now!"

Without hesitation, Kurono's hair shot towards Midoriya. Even with the hair coming straight towards his neck, Midoriya didn't falter. He sent a glare at Kurono and his hair ignited causing his attack to not reach its target.

"I'm sorry Kurono, but this won't be a quick death for you."

With a snap Midoriya set both of Kuronos legs ablaze causing him to fall to the ground as he screamed in pain. His screams were a pleasant melody to his ears, but that wasn't enough, he longed for a better sound.

Midoriya returned his gaze towards Kai as he pulled out his dad's old lighter. He repeatedly sparked the lighter and extinguished the flames. With each passing second he could see the reality of the situation beginning to dawn on Kai's face. Midoriya smirked under his mask and sparked the lighter one more time.

"I'm sure you have a lot of questions running through your head right now, but deep down we both know that you already know all the answers."

Midoruya pulled the flames from the lighter and threw it so it ignited one of Kurono's arms.

"But for fun, let's start with the 'how.' Well it's quite simple, I kept one of the bullets from the USJ test. I acted on a whim, and look what it has led us to."

Kai's mouth began to dry out as he saw Kurono agonizing in pain. If he could use his quirk the two of them could easily take care of Midoriya and escape unharmed, but not when he was powerless. He slowly tried to back away, but a wall of fire erected behind him, stopping his movements.

"Don't leave Kai, you're going to miss the best part."

Midoriya pulled more flames from the lighter and used them to ignite Kurono's other arm. He screamed in agony again, before passing out from the pain.

"Now, as for the 'why.' While I'd like to say it's nothing personal, we both know that's not true."

Midorya sent some of the flames and had them wrap around Kai's hands. Kai tried to snuff out the flames, but it only caused them to grow larger.

"You made this personal the moment you killed my parents." The flames slowly grew larger, eventually engulfing them and leaving them charred. "Also it's not just Kurono, Mimic is already dead , as well as some of the Eight Bullets. But by the time I'm done, everyone who supports you will be nothing but charcoal."

Midoriya looked over at Kurono to see him still lying unconscious. With a sigh, he ignited his entire body in flames. The sudden pain woke him up, and again his screams filled the room and after a few minutes he fell silent as all the life left his body.

"When it comes to the 'when', that goes right along with the 'who.' I found out right after our meeting with the League of Villains, the Doctor finally gave me the information All for One had found about my parents' killers."

The flames slowly began to rise, eventually covering the entirety of Kai's arms. The pain was unbearable and his screams eventually filled the empty room. Midorya savored the sweet sounds of the screams. If Kurono's was a melody, then Kai's was a symphony to Midoriya's ears.

"As for 'what', you know exactly what is going to happen. I'm going to kill you Kai and I'm going to give Eri a better life."

The flames continued to slowly inch their way up Kai's shoulders before stopping.

"Now, do you have anything to say or ask before I kill you?"

Midroiya pulled more flames from the lighter making them dance around his hand. Kai breathed heavily as he glared at Midoriya. His arms had long lost their use, and even if they hadn't been torched, they would still be useless because of the quirk erasing bullet. With a haggard voice, Kai spat at Midoriya.

"Go to hell."

Midoriya let out a soft sigh. "I will, but not today."

The flames that had been dancing around Midoriya's hand shot towards Kai, enveloping his entire body. His screams once again filled the room as Midoriya watched him suffer. Midoriya continued to raise the temperature of the flames even after Kai had stopped screaming. Eventually the flames died out leaving the charcoaled remains of Kai.

Seeing what was left of Kai caused a weight to be lifted from Midoriya's shoulders. All his years of searching were finally over, he was so relieved that felt as if he could cry. As all the emotions ran rampant inside of him, he did his best to keep everything bottled up. He still had a job to do and once he was done with that he could let everything out.

With his main target down, Midoriya quickly made his way through the underground labyrinth to the areas where the rest of the Eight Bullets resided. He knew the strengths of the rest of the Bullets, but wasn't worried, compared to his power they were stepping stones.

The first one he encountered was Rappa and Tengai. While Tengai was not an official member of the Eight Bullets, he still served as Rappa's partner. Midoriya made sure to handle Rappa first, he knew that Rappa's strength far outclassed his own. When Rappa collapsed, Tengai tried to protect himself with one of his barriers, but that just served as his own coffin when Midoriya's flames ignited on the inside of the barrier.

With three of the Eight Bullets down, Midoriya made his way to the last three that resided in the labyrinth. The three left were the newest members and truth be told, Midoriya thought very little of them. When Midoriya reached their room he didn't hesitate igniting the three of them.

As he watched the three of them agonizing in pain, Midoriya was surprised when they still tried to attack him. He could sense determination in them that burned with a red hot furry. Unfortunately for them, Midoriya's flames burned much more intensely than their furry could ever hope to burn. The three eventually succumbed to the flames as they fell to the ground, lifeless.

Midoriya had one group left to deal with, the meeting hall was the last place. Inside the meeting hall the air was filled with unease. When Midoriya reached the front all the murmuring came to a stop. He looked around the room and saw Katsukame standing to the side with his arms crossed, everyone else looked on edge.

Clearing his throat, Midoriya addressed everyone in the room. "Raise your hand if you want to follow Kai."

The room went quiet as they all looked around confused. Katsukame was the first to raise his hand as he laughed, slowly everyone else in the room raised their hands as well. He could see that everyone raised their hands out of fear of being killed like the others that opposed Kai.

Midoriya sighed as he snapped his fingers. Off to the side, Katsukame immediately burst into flames. Screams filled the room, they weren't only Katsukame's, but those of onlookers as well. When Katsukame eventually collapsed, Midoriya addressed them once again.

"Who still wants to follow Kai after seeing what happened to one of his close supporters?"

This time nobody raised their hands. Midoriya wasn't exactly sure if they were being honest, or if they were scared that they would be next, but that didn't matter to him.

"Good, I killed Kai earlier along with Mimic, Kurono, and the rest of the Eight Bullets. If any of you are still interested in following a dead man, I'd be more than happy to send you to him. As for the rest of you, don't do anything stupid. The police and heroes that are outside are here for me. Don't do anything to antagonize them, just stay out of the way and show them to Gramps when they ask where he's at. They'll be able to get him to a place where he can be properly treated. If they ask to do a search let them do it, they'll find the bodies."

Everyone in the room nodded in hopes to not become the next victim of Midoriya's flames. After giving everyone their orders he made his way back to Eri's room. He stood outside the door and stared at it for a minute, his time had come. When he finally opened the door he found Eri sitting on the bed reading one of her books. She looked over at him with excitement, but recoiled when she saw the flames on his mask.

"It's ok Eri, it's just me. Are you ready to go outside?"

Eri nodded slowly as she made her way over to him. He took her hand in his and held it tightly. His hand trembled slightly as they began to make their way towards the entrance.

With each step, she looked around more and more confused. The only time she had ever been to this part of the compound was when she first arrived, any other time they took one of the secret entrances. Her hand squeezed Midoriya's as she looked up at him with concern.

"Everything will be ok Eri, I promise. You're going to be just fine."

Outside of the compound walls, Midoriya could hear the voices of heroes and police discussing the plan of action. He knew he still had some time, so he sat down on the stairs and waited. Eri still wasn't sure what was going on, so she stood in front of him.

"I thought we were going outside?"

Midoriya nodded as his voice began to waver. "Yeah… but let's just wait here a little. It sounds pretty loud out there."

Eei nodded before sitting next to him. She rested her head on his arm and held his hand tightly.

The two of them sat there for another ten minutes before everything went silent. Midoriya took a deep breath as he awaited his fate. A set of knocks came from the gate followed by a voice.

"This is the police, open up, we have a warrant to search the premises!"

The sudden shout scared Eri causing her to bury her face into Midoriya's chest. He wrapped his arms around her tightly. "I promise nothing bad is going to happen to you Eri."

A second set of knocks rang out followed by the same voice. "If you don't open up, we will use force!"

Eri held onto him tighter. "I'm not going to let anyone hurt you ever again."

The air went still for a minute before the gate was blown open. Heroes and police filled the courtyard, surrounding Midoriya. He didn't flinch or realiate, he only held onto Eri.

"Don't move Phoenix, we have you surrounded!"

As Midoriya held onto Eri, he felt something strange. The flames that covered his mask disappeared. He looked around the crowd and found the cause, Eraser Head. His eyes stayed locked onto Midoriya, keeping him from using his quirk. He knew why Eraser Head was doing it, but it wasn't necessary.

Midoriya began to scan the crowd, he saw familiar faces as well as unfamiliar ones. Most of the faces were filled with anxiousness, a few with confusion, and one with understanding.

When Midoriya locked eyes with that one, they gave him a slight nod. Midoriya smiled under his mask as he put his head on Eri's shoulder and hugged her tightly.

"Eri, I know it's going to be scary, but I need you to trust me. When you turn around there's going to be a lot of strange people with weapons, I promise they won't hurt you. Do you understand?"

Eri nodded into his chest.

"Good. Do you remember Ms. Midnight? You met her at Big Sis's house."

Again Eri nodded.

"That's good, she's here as well. When you turn around I want you to go to her and give her a hug. She really wanted to see you again."

Eri nodded into him. Midoriya choked back his tears as he placed a hand on her head. "Make sure you listen to what she says ok."

Midoriya let go of Eri and she slowly turned around. Seeing all of the heroes and police caused her to freeze, until she saw Midnight step forward and crouch down to her level. Eri looked back at Midoriya and he gave her a reassuring nod. With that she made her way over to her and gave her a hug. Midnight wrapped her arms around Eri, picking her up.

Once Eri was with Midnight, Midoriya stood up. His actions caused everyone to ready themselves to stop him. He slowly lifted his shirt up to show the burns on his chest from the night he met with Bubble Girl.

"We said don't move Phoenix!"

Midoriya looked over at the cop who was barking orders. He put his arms in the air, giving himself up. The cops and heroes looked at each confused. He assumed Bubble Girl had told everyone about his plan, but they must have assumed it was a trap. The cop that was giving orders looked over at Eraser Head. "How much longer can you keep his quick down for?"

"As long as I need to."

Hearing this the cops quickly sprung to action to detain him. Quirk suppressing handcuffs were immediately placed on him before they searched him. As they patted him down they came across the box he kept in his jacket pocket. They confiscated them along with his father's lighter.

As the police continued to search him for anything else, Sir Nighteye approached him. His eyes pierced through Midoriya.

"You're a peculiar one Phoenix. For years you hide in the shadows killing Villains, then one day out of the blue you attack heroes. And here you are now, turning yourself in after all this time. Now I just want to know who it was that hid behind this mask."

Sir Nighteye removed Midoriya's mask, revealing his identity to everyone. He heard a few gasps from the people he had met before. As he turned to them he was met with a punch. He fell to the ground and was promptly pulled up slightly by his collar. When he regained his barring he saw Amajiki glaring at him with his fist pulled back, ready to deliver another blow.

"Was this all a game to you! Where you just using Kendo this whole time! Kendo trusted you! She loved you!"

Amajiki's arm turned into one of a mantis shrimp. He pulled his arm back, ready to deliver a blow. Midoriya didn't try to fight back, he knew he deserved this and some. As he waited for the final blow a scream came from the crowd.

"Let him go! Don't hurt him!"

Eri's voice brought both Midoriya and Amajiki back to their senses. She was crying while trying to get out of Midnight's arms. Amajiki looked back at Midoriya before dropping him. He didn't say a word as he walked back to the rest of the heroes.

Midoriya sighed before the police picked him up off the ground. They led him out of the compound and into the back of an armored transport vehicle. Eraser Head climbed in the back with him and sat across from him, his eyes never once looking away from him.
