I do not own One Piece – So the characters aren't mine, obviously.
This story is inspired by everything I ever read or watched, so occurring similarities aren't an attempt at stealing anything. If someone feels imitated or thinks I stole something somewhere, please contact me and I'll clear up and/or correct possible misunderstandings or errors.
English isn't my first language but I tried my very best to avoid mistakes (without beta, yet, by the way).
Read, enjoy, feel free to review if you like – I'm really looking forward to suggestions and opinions.
Please refrain from messaging me just to offer art commissions, especially if you aren't even familiar with the fandom of One Piece – I won't consider them until this story is completed, anyway.

Unpredictable – Chapter six – The Calm before yet another Storm – part two
.
"Is the food gonna be ready soon?" Luffy changed the subject out of the cold. "I'm sooo hungry!" he whined miserably.
This caused a variation of snorts, snickers, giggles, chuckles and titters from the other straw hat pirates – Zoro merely smirked, of course.
.
Arashi, on the other hand, was laughing heartily at the pirate captain's remark, body shaking with mirth.
.
This would be so much fun.

The bathrooms were pure luxury – equipped with undeniably everything your heart could desire.
It was pure bliss …
.
For the crew's two females at least.
The other Straw Hats didn't care one way or the other, much less about all this – absolutely unnecessary, depending on who was asked – extravagance.
So it wasn't surprising at all, when the male crewmembers didn't take too long to 'freshen up' and were already choosing their clothes for the evening, while Nami and Robin still enjoyed one of the many conveniences this manor had to offer.
The overall scheme for their attire turned out to be black suit trousers and matching suit jackets as well as individual chosen long sleeved dress shirts and accessories.
Luffy ended up with a simple dark red dress shirt as well as a black tie and vest on top. The outfit was completed by a pocket square matching the shirt's in his right breast pocket. The pirate's trademark straw hat was resting on his back, of course.
Foregoing the vest, Zoro had chosen an olive green silk shirt instead. A black tie and a pocket square, olive green as well, was completing his ensemble.
While Sanji was wearing a black vest just like his captain, the buttons on all of the outfit's outer layers weren't black but golden. His dress shirt and pocket square were dark blue with lighter stripes of the same color.
The dark brown dress shirt sprinkled with yellow dots that Usopp had picked, suited the sniper perfectly – almost as good as the black top hat with a yellow ribbon that matched the dots. He as well had chosen a black vest.
The little reindeer Doctor was very happy about the purple dress shirt and pink fly he found, fitting him just as good as trouser and jacket.
Franky on the other hand wore neither vest nor tie or hat. He preferred his usual style – a multicolored, hawaiian shirt and jacket left open.
Musician Brook had dressed much more formally, however. On top of an ornate, pumpkin colored dress shirt he wore a black vest like some of the other straw hat's as well, but instead of the usual tie he had decided on a voluptuous, blood red cravat.
Last but not least, Jimbei came out of the locker room. The black and white, square-shaped patterns decorating his chosen simple, orange shirt created a nice contrast.
.
Only moments after all of the male pirates were finished getting dressed, two of their host's servants came trough the door to escort them into the large ball room, where the feast was supposed to take place.
With a joyous shout of "FOOD!" Luffy was the first out of the room – not even waiting for the servants to guide him.
.
Today would be a fun-tastic day for a party!

Arashi had waited patiently – but more than thrilled – for his visitors to finally arrive.
When the thick wooden portal – connecting ball room and remaining manor – was opened at last, the island's leader didn't waste even a second to welcome his guests once again, praising their respective chosen attire exuberantly.
Guiding them around the huge room, he talked about everything and everyone that came to mind. Inquiring about one rumored event or the other without ceasing the constant flow of words for more than a second.
.
He really was contact-reprieved much, it seemed.
.
"Were is the food?" Luffy asked – the epitome of impatience and continued with a whining voice "You promised there would be food! Lots of food! And meat!"
After getting lost right outside of the wardrobe – who would have thought – he only just arrived, having been found wandering in the seemingly endless floors by one of the dozen searching servants, at long last.
"Of course, of course." Arashi tried to placate the now pouting young man. "The feast will be served shortly." He assured. "But politeness dictates that we wait for the lovely ladies first." was his final explanation.
Arms crossed in annoyance while still sporting a huge pout, the straw hat's captain could be heard muttering under his breath. "… just as stingy as Sanji …"
"What was that, rubber-brain?" came a low growl from said blonde cook.
"Nothing!" The instant reply sounded slightly panicked.
But without success, the blonde cook had heard him and started chasing his rubbery target around the spacious hall.
.
"You are such a lively group!" was said to no one in particular by their bemused host.
.
It was in that moment, that the missing female pirates entered the ball room.
The older woman was wearing an elegant, backless halter dress with a gathered neckline in a deep violet color. Hugging her form in all the right places, its skirt flowed out in a mermaid trumpet just above the knees. The black open toe high heels accentuated Robin's long legs stunningly and the accessories consisting of an intricate, black necklace as well as matching earrings completed her look.
Nami had chosen a tightly fitted, high halter dress as well. Rich burgundy in color, its bodycon top and skirt emphasized every single one of her curves sensually. Its wide strap downright hugged the woman's neck and the tear-shaped cut out detail below accentuated her cleavage beautifully. On her feet she wore T-strap high heels matching the dress color. She too didn't forgo jewelry, wearing a set of golden earrings and necklace with rubies as decoration.
.
The entrance of those two beauties left the pure blooded males breathless for a moment.
Well, that was actually only true for Sanji – who had stopped chasing his loudly laughing captain the moment the huge door had opened – and Arashi.
The former immediately started his usual reactions after seeing attractive woman – Chopper trying to manage the situation as best as he could – while the latter was completely speechless for a few seconds.
An achievement, really, considering his non-stop talking from before.
Getting his act together quickly again, the host of the day complimented the new arrivals with abundance before starting to gather all of the straw hat pirates around himself for a short speech.
.
"Dear Straw Hats!" He began. "I still can't believe that I am able to call you my guests today! It's been so long – almost three years – since another ship made it through the storm ring." The brunette went on with his monologue. "Unfortunately there was no survivor at that time so it's been even longer that I could welcome new friends into my home." He said with a pensive voice before continuing on a joyous note again. "I am all the more happy to be able to host you all here today. It's more than refreshening, really! So without further ado: Let the feast begin!"
With that, smaller doors on one side of the hall opened one by one, servants filling the passages with all kinds of dishes, drinks and other delicacies on their kitchen trolleys.
"Food! Food, food, food, food, foooood." Luffy sang almost melodic, being the first of the lot to start plunder the buffet.
The rest of the straw hat pirates looked at their captain with variations of amusement before joining the fun as well.
.
It was going to be a good day!

Hey there!
I decided to split the remaining interlude into two chapters after all, since the description of those formal outfits took so much time and space (I reeeaaally hate describing clothes and am more than doubtful, if I did a good enough job…)
Well, after this one there really is only one chapter left before coming to the eventful main part, I promise.
Feel free to review – I'd love a little feedback, like always.
Stay safe and take care.
'Til next time.
