Under the perpetual night of Nemesis, Dimande stared at the land before him.
The darkness here made him yearn for the light he knew before his life had taken such a turn. The months of silence had been unbearable. But now he was back and with the Wiseman's help, he'd take back what he had lost and reshape his world into something the people could never conceive in their wildest dreams.
It was only fair, why should Nemesis be denied the light of day?
Why should Lunarian superiority continue unchecked?
In a few days time he would have the opportunity to show them all the true power of a Nemesian who embraced all the Jakikusuihou offered.
Strong hands gripped the balcony as he fought to control the dark thoughts that whispered along his psych.
"Dimande?" Grateful for the reprieve, he acknowledged his savior with a hum. "Are you alright?"
He turned to face his younger brother. "I'm fine," he breathed, hoping to convince himself as well. He expected a report or a question related to their upcoming visions for reform.
"That night… at the ball… What did you do to Serena?"
Always straightforward and steps ahead of the rest, Sapphire had a gift, but in this moment it was an annoyance. His dealings with the Moon Princess were his and no one else's.
"I assessed her feelings for me," Dimande allowed after a while.
Shrewd dark eyes studied the elder. "Did you find what you were looking for?" Sapphire conceded, electing not to push.
"I did."
"And what now?"
'Serena is mine in every way that matters.'
"You'll find out soon enough," Dimande settled with instead.
"Sire," A voice interrupted, "The Wiseman wishes to speak with you."
He was left alone as his brother left to consort with his advisor.
With a frown, Sapphire doubted that was all his brother had done that night. He felt the malintent and the Nemesian energy exerted though slight it was.
High heeled steps approached, piercing his own solitude with the sound. The woman from earlier had finally decided to join him.
"He's changed," he remarked.
"All frost and teeth." She agreed, flipping long electric colored tresses over her shoulder. "But what would you expect? He was left to rot in the Wilds of the Dead Moon for months."
The Wilds were a place of unknown phenomena connected to the power of their Dark Crystal. Nothing good came from that wasteland.
The Wiseman hailed from that primordial land– The Place the Old Queen was said to be banished.
"Exactly," Sapphire looked into the face of the fiery beauty. "I am grateful for my brother's return, but something about it is not right. Keep an eye on Wiseman," he advised. "I don't know what he is, but it is not natural. Even more so than the Jakikusuihou."
"As you command, My Prince." She bowed gracefully, allowing a peak of cleavage. Sapphire huffed in annoyance causing her to snicker as she straightened.
"And Emerald… please be careful." She gave him a playful smirk before heading back inside.
