May 2013, Harry's Workshop, Godrick's Hollow
It didn't take them long to find Killian and 'The Mandarin'. Both were in the mansion Maya knew about. Tony, Harry, and Rhodey flew in the next day and fought off the soldiers under Killian's command. They all had enhanced strength and regeneration, but were no match for Summoner, Iron Man, and War Machine. Tony and Rhodey took the roof entrance whereas Harry started from the front door. Harry employed stealth to slowly take down anyone he saw before he finally found Killian in a large lab. A quick stunner and body bind and he was down for the count. Harry decided to stay with him and let Tony and Rhodes clear the rest of the mansion.
Tony and Rhodes took everyone down with efficiency. Those who couldn't be captured were killed, the survivors were all put in power suppression cuffs, developed by Harry and Tony, and shipped off by SHIELD to Harry's island prison. 'The Mandarin', or the actor better known as Trevor, was captured drunk and surrounded by drugs and women. Under questioning and legilimency, Harry uncovered the entire plot. Killian was incentivizing the vice president to learn of the President's travel plans. They were going to use the Iron Patriot armor to get in close and make him the target of the Mandarin's new attack. After that the VP would be the head of state and would be firmly in Killian's pocket after he healed his daughter.
After everything was done they came back to Harry's workshop. Now Tony was sitting here watching Harry pace back and forth. Tony was waiting for Harry to explain why he had been so focused on Extremis after finding out it put out massive amounts of heat.
"Okay." Harry said as he stopped and ran his hand through his hair. "Okay." He repeated himself as he stood there fidgeting. Tony wasn't sure if Harry was nervous or anxious, but he was sure he had never seen this side of Harry before. "So I've told you a lot about my past right?" Harry asked rhetorically as he didn't wait for Tony to respond. "What I may have never mentioned before is that I had a Godson, Teddy. During one of the battles with the demons, our base was infiltrated. We didn't know it until we returned, but many of the people at the base died fighting it off. One of the few survivors only lasted long enough to tell us about the children being hidden in the room behind him. When we entered the room it was filled with mist and was ice cold, turns out the infiltrator was some type of ice demon. Anyways, we found five surviving children, my godson included, but they were all dying from some type of ice poison released by the demon. We spent weeks trying to save them from the ice poison running through their bodies, but one by one they died. Until finally it was just my godson left. It seemed that the curse he was born with was fighting off the ice poison, it gave us enough time to create a stasis chamber."
Tony came to a realization, "The final room." Harry just nodded. "So you think that Extremis might have the ability to save your godson?" Harry again just nodded as he started pacing again.
"It might, but it's too unstable to be of any use right now." Here Harry stopped and looked right at Tony, "I need your help."
Tony shook his head, "Harry you know you didn't even have to ask. Let's get Maya and call in Bruce, with both of them we could have this done as soon as possible." Tony said as he stood up. Harry seemed to deflate as soon as he agreed. "Why didn't you mention this before?"
"I've been researching it for years, eventually it became an obsession." Harry said with a sigh. "I've looked through thousands of books on poisons, demons, and curses. I traveled all over my old world collecting knowledge and information. Nothing I ever found was even close to helping." He finished with some frustration.
"Well now you have help. So let's go make ourselves a cure alright?" Tony asked as he put his hand on Harry's shoulder. Harry gave him a wan but warm smile before they both left for Avengers tower.
Bruce had moved to New York after Betty had taken a job at Columbia. So Tony and Harry took the elevator down to Bruce's lab and found him looking over some notes at his desk. Hearing the door he looked up and saw Tony and Harry, but neither looked all that great. "What's up guys?"
"Hey Bruce. We need some help working on a serum we found. You in?" Tony asked, not explaining at all. Harry rolled his eyes and bumped Tony's shoulder. Tony smiled with an expectant look at Bruce.
"Sure. What's the serum used for?" Bruce asked as he put away his work. He would usually turn down any work concerning serums, but he could trust Harry and Tony to not steer him wrong.
"The serum is called Extremis. It was a project by Maya Henson that would increase the retentive properties that Humans inherently have. Unfortunately she got pulled into a think tank run by an asshat named Aldrich Killian. He used the serum to make super soldiers with regeneration and heat powers. The heat powers are a byproduct of massive healing done by the body, but the main reason we're looking into it." Harry explained. He took a deep breath before looking into Bruce's eyes, "My godson is still alive under stasis. He's been infected with a difficult to cure ice poison. I am hoping to use Extremis to heal him."
Bruce was listening raptly as Harry explained the serum. He had heard of both Maya Henson and Aldrich Killian in science circles. When Harry started talking about his godson Bruce was surprised. He didn't think anyone else from Harry's world survived. When Harry was done Bruce had already made a decision, he would help his friend heal his godson. He did have a suggestion to make though. "You should invite Dr. McCoy."
"You're right. I'll go get him, Tony, what lab are we using?" Harry asked as he turned to look at Tony. Tony scratched his chin in thought.
"Let's use the Healing Bed lab. It has the most up to date medical equipment." Tony said as they moved to the hallway. "It's on floor 89, me and Bruce will meet you there." Harry nodded before he was gone with a pop. "Man he must be really anxious if he didn't even fade." Bruce just nodded in conjecture with Tony.

Harry was moving through the mostly empty mansion as he sought the X-Men's doctor. "Harry?" a voice called out to him as he was passing through a hallway. Turning he saw Ororo Munroe, "If you're looking for the Twins, they are in class right now." She said as she approached. She noticed Harry looking a bit peaky and fidgeting, "Are you okay? You don't look all that well."
Harry gave her a small smile, "I'm fine, just a lot going on today. I'm actually looking for Hank, do you know where he is?" Harry asked. Ororo gave him an odd look but nodded.
"He should be in the lab in the lower levels." She said, "Do you need me to take you down there?" Harry shook his head in response.
"No, I can make my way on my own. Thank Ororo." He gave her another smile before he walked off towards the elevator. Ororo watched him from behind biting her lip in worry. Eventually she shook her head and continued on to her current class.
Taking the elevator down Harry was breathing methodically to calm himself. He didn't realize how much this news affected him. Breathing in and out he slowly got rid of the anxious energy he had been carrying since talking to Maya yesterday. He may have calmed his body, but his mind was still roaring with thoughts about Teddy. Oh how he's missed him. He always thought himself lucky to have even the three short years he did with him. Most children didn't survive past that point anyways. He had to stop and refocus himself again as his mind recalled that vast amount of death he had seen. Countless demons feasting on the bodies of mundanes and magical alike. Parents, elderly, or children, it didn't matter to them. All were fair game to the demons and Harry watched it all. He slew enough demons to fill the halls of Asgard but they were never ending. It wasn't until the planet itself was basically a husk that they stopped multiplying. His fists clenched as he remembered removing the head of the Greater Demon who summoned the army he fought.
His musings were broken by the ding of the elevator, the short ride having been stretched in his mind. Shaking himself loose of his fluctuating mood he stepped out and quickly found himself at the doorway of the med bay where he could see Henry McCoy doing something on his computer.
"Ah Harry! What can I do for you today?" Hank asked as he looked up and found Harry standing in the doorway. Harry moved forward and conjured a chair in front of the desk.
"I need your help and expertise with an experimental serum." Harry said. Hank's eyebrows raised, so Harry explained why he was there. He talked about Extremis and what he needed it for. Soon Hank was giving him a serious look as he stood.
"Let's get to work."
Taking Hank back to the lab at Avengers Tower, three of the greatest minds in the world started working on the serum. Harry provided samples from Teddy and the other children who died of the ice poison. First they worked to stabilize the serum itself. It ended up being to Hank's credit when he realized that the changed DNA had no limiters in place. So with a bit of work and some coding from Tony the nanobots now had a much easier time starting the regeneration process. Looking at some prediction models, they found out that stabilizing the serum this way removed the super strength, stamina, and heating factor. So instead of trying to change the serum again they started work on a cure all of its own.
Bruce ended up combining the serum and radiation therapy to slow down the poison, but it wasn't a cure. Seeing Bruce's success in using the serum alongside radiation, Harry brought out tome after tome that all related to poisons and demons. He even popped over to Kamar-Taj where Yao was waiting with four books on ice demons and their physiology. With a quick thanks and another portal Harry was back in the lab. It took 2 weeks of tests and research but eventually Tony made the breakthrough. Taking a nanobot from the serum and enchanting it with anti demon runes made for a powerful healing serum that irradiated the ice poison from the samples they had on hand. Harry was ecstatic and was soon rushing the three men into his house.
"So where's the trunk?" Tony asked as they stepped through the portal in Harry's foyer.
"Oh I don't use the trunk anymore." Harry said as he walked to the side where a large painting of a snake sat. When Harry approached the snake started hissing and coiling its lower body. Harry hissed at the painting and the snake relaxed letting the painting swing outward. The area behind it was the same coat room that you would see when entering Harry's trunk, but from the side. Tony led the way behind Harry and saw that the ladder was still off to the side.
"How did you do this?" Tony asked as he looked up the ladder. Harry, who was almost out of the room, stopped and turned.
"It's a pocket dimension Tony. I can connect to it from anywhere." Harry said as he didn't wait for a reply and rushed down the hallway. Bruce gave Tony a smile and a shrug before he and Hank followed after the excited Wizard. Tony huffed, but smiled anyway. Harry had gotten more and more anxious as their research went on. At one point Natasha had to be called in to make sure he got enough rest. Walking down the hall he found Bruce and Hank standing outside the fourth doorway staring in awe of what they were seeing. Moving forward he looked into the room and saw Harry floating in was basically a void. There weren't any walls or floor, just a lone glass ball the size of a man. Floating inside was a tiny boy with patches of dark blue creeping out of his orifices. All around the ball were floating runes and scripts. Vast amounts of magic were being funneled into the room sustaining the stasis keeping the boy alive. Harry was floating next to it chanting as he slowly moved his hands all around. Slowly the glow of runes and scripts dimmed and the glass ball faded away. Harry moved forward and pulled Teddy into his arms before injecting him with the completed serum. Everyone held their breath in anticipation as time seemed to crawl by. Harry was staring at the blue veins around Teddy's chest, waiting for something to happen.
It wasn't sudden, it was almost missed with how slowly the veins started to fade. They went from a dark blue and got lighter and lighter. Before long you could barely see them and Harry suddenly sobbed as he hugged his godson to his chest. Bruce, Tony, and Hank all watched as the fun loving wizard they all knew broke down in tears. Eventually Harry stopped and he smoothly floated back to the door frame. "We should get him to the medical beds back at the lab. We can monitor his condition from there." Tony and them just nodded as Harry led them outside and created a portal directly to the lab.
Harry walked over to a bed and laid Teddy down. His hand made its way to his head as he gently moved his fingers through his curls. Smiling, he ran some diagnostic charms and found his body still cold, but alive. Bruce and Hank started attaching monitoring equipment to Teddy and took a sample of blood to ensure the poison was being eradicated. Unfortunately the poison was there for too long and Teddy didn't wake immediately. Harry didn't leave his side though and three days after the injection Teddy had a healthy complexion and was lightly sleeping. Harry was once again running his fingers through Teddy's hair when the boy finally opened his eyes.
"Papa?" a small voice sounded out. Harry's eyes quickly met the blueish gray eyes of his godson and he smiled with tears leaking from his eyes.
"Oh Teddy, you're awake." Harry said with a warble in his voice as he hugged the boy. Teddy, not sure of what was wrong, hugged his father as his hair changed from the dirty blonde it was to the dark black of Harry. Hank, who was standing nearby, smiled and pulled out a phone to let Tony and Bruce know Teddy was awake. He slowly approached the two and laid a hand on Harry's shoulder. Harry slowly let go of Teddy and smiled when he saw his Godson sporting his hair and eye color. "Alright buddy, this is Doctor Henry McCoy. He's going to do some tests on you to make sure you're healthy alright? Once you're done you can meet your new brother and sister alright?" Teddy looked up at Harry in surprise.
"Brother and Sister?" Teddy asked with a shine in his eyes. Harry couldn't help but feel on top of the world right now. Teddy was finally better and he was on his way to saving his old world. Life was good.
AN: I'll be out of town for the next two days, so I'll post the next chapter on Sunday. Don't worry the chapter after that will still be posted on Monday. Hope you enjoyed the chapter! Have a good weekend! -Galaleo

I believe Dumbledore died when he was 116. He was born in like 1879 or something. Most witches and wizards live ot be around 100, some, like dumbledore live past 100. Armando Dippet (spelling?), the headmaster before Dumbledore, was still alive during the Harry Potter books and was around 350 years old I think.
