Chapter One

Location: Somewhere in France

Timedate: 9:51pm

Within a small yet luxurious hotel room of faded violet and white, a few bedside lamps remained alit, giving a good enough view of the place whilst a glimpse of the night sky outside could be seen peaking through the closed window curtains. Laying back on the double bed and watching the television was a young adult woman of fairest skin, long pure-white hair and bright-green eyes, donned in a catsuit of tight leathery black with strands of matching white fur along her calves and forearms as well as around her chest. Felicia Hardy, also known to most as Black Cat.

Off to the side, she could hear a few knocks clear enough to tell it was coming from the door leading into the hallway outside, so she hopped off the bed and walked over to the door. Once she held down the handle and pulled the door open, she instantly recognised a particularly solitude man in the hall way standing up firm, straight and vacant, and facing back at her. His face if not his whole head was purely grey and smooth, devoid of any features, while he wore a matching dark-blue suit and trousers, white shirt and red tie. Dmitri Smerdyakov, known to many as simply the Chameleon.

"Ah hello, Black Cat", Dmitri spoke in his distinct accent.

"Hello to you too, Chameleon", Felicia sighed.

"May I come in?" Dmitri asked before Felicia offered him in. He walked forth and passed her before she closed the door again.

While Dmitri pulled up a nearby chair and sat down neatly, Felicia sat back down on the bed, grabbed the remote and muted the TV.

"So we have our plan sorted out?" Felicia asked.

Chameleon nodded and began his elaboration. "At twenty-two hundred tonight, Bulleye's down the hole when the snake hits the red carpet. Security lifts the key, we terminate the torpedoes. You charm the beast and lure her into the stall. Bait and switch. At midnight exactly, Bullseye turns out the lights. Glasses on. I bag the prize, key in the bag, and bag to the boat. No radio unless absolutely necessary. Code Red. Five minutes to blackout, drop everything, and walk away. If a cop finds you, tell 'em the truth. You know nobody. Got it?"

Felicia nodded, "Yes, sir".

"You have your passport?"

"As always", Felicia pulled out her passport and waved it about just to prove it so.

"The plane leaves tomorrow at five hundred, should we be in the clear at least", Dmitri continued and pointed. "We meet at the destination. And remember, no names and no guns". As Dmitri stated this, Felicia nodded before standing up to grab a big black bag with a long strap near the bed and started heading off. "This isn't a game tonight, people can die... So don't you forget".

"You forget that I always remember", Felicia glanced back and sassed before giving a teasing smirk and a shrug of shoulders. Then she carried off into the hallway and the heist ahead. She knew tonight would be an interesting night.
