It has been about 30 minutes since Heather was flushed. Courtney is sitting by the fire. She hears someone approach her. She looks up and sees Gwen.
Gwen: "Hey".
Courtney: 'Hey".
Gwen: "Mind if I sit next to you"?
Courtney: "Go ahead".
Gwen walks up and sits next to her.
Gwen: "So some elimination. Did not expect Alejandro to pull out that invincibility statue.
Courtney: "Yea.".
Gwen notices Courtney thinking about something.
Gwen: "Something on your mind"? She asks with curiosity.
Courtney (looks at Gwen): "Yes. You really broke up with Duncan"?
Gwen: "Yes, do you want to know why"?
Courtney: "I don't care about that jerk but I am curious.
Gwen sighs.
Gwen: "If I'm being honest, things between us haven't been great the last few months. The thrill was slowly going away. However, what led to me breaking up with him was because he was obsessed with you".
Courtney (shocked): "What"?
Gwen: "He is. He really wants your attention. He asked me what you were saying about him constantly. He also kissed me just so you could see".
Courtney is still shocked.
Gwen: "He's still into you. I can't be with someone who is still into their ex so I broke up with hm. However, when I think about this now, it's for the best. I should have ended things with him earlier".
Courtney's shock turns into mockery.
Courtney: "So he ruined things with two girls. Not the ladies man he thought he was. What an idiot".
She laughs. Gwen laughs as well.
Gwen: "Thank you for trusting me before the elimination ceremony".
Courtney (drops her smile): "I still don't fully trust you, but what you said earned you points".
Gwen: "I'm glad".
Courtney: "Were you serious when you said you were done putting boys ahead of friends"?
Gwen (drops smile): "Yes, I am. Look, I know I said this at the first elimination, but I am sorry for how things went down in World Tour. I never meant for the kiss to happen and for you to find out like that. I never meant to hurt you. I'm here to make things right and repair our friendship. Can you please give me a chance"?
Courtney thinks for a few seconds.
Courtney: 'Breaking up with him and what you told me behind the bush helps. I can think about giving you another chance but I need some more time".
Gwen (smiles somewhat excitedly.): "I understand. Thake your time".
Courtney: "However, if I do give you another chance, you better not do this to me again".
Gwen: "I promise. Like I said before, I'll never out boys ahead of friends again".
Courtney (smiled): "Good".
From afar Duncan is watching.
Duncan: "Courtney and Gwen are talking about me. I know it. Courtney still likes me (he says excitedly). I don't care about her. I definitely don't have feelings for her again". (His eye twitches.)
