Hey there, my fellow writers and readers. Here's yet another Cobra Kai fanfic I cooked up one day. This time, it's set before and during the computer lab scene in the Season 2 episode No Mercy II, and goes AU in that Hawk sets his sights on my OC Melissa Pearson and goes after her instead of Demetri. Mostly inspired by the Guns N' Roses song Patience (which is quite inspiring in a way).
Disclaimer: Geniuses Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg own Cobra Kai. I own the fanfics I cook up from time to time.
Said, woman, take it slow and it'll work itself out fine
All we need is just a little patience
Said, sugar, make it slow and we'll come together fine
All we need is just a little patience
Patience, mm yeah
I sit here on the stairs 'cause I'd rather be alone
If I can't have you right now, I'll wait, dear
Sometimes I get so tense, but I can't speed up the time
But you know, love, there's one more thing to consider
Said, woman, take it slow and things will be just fine
You and I'll just use a little patience
Said, sugar, take the time 'cause the lights are shinin' bright
You and I've got what it takes to make it
We won't fake it, aw, I'll never break it, 'cause I can't take it
~Guns N' Roses, Patience
"I don't like violence, angel," Hawk called. "Please don't make me do this."
His blue eyes now dark with lust, Hawk stalked the halls in search of his female prey. He'd had his eye on Melissa Pearson for what seemed like a while now; until today, he'd done nothing but wait, timing it for the right moment to make his move.
And now, it looks like today is that day.
Hawk's azure orbs gleamed with desire, a dark smile crossing his face just then. From his perspective, Melissa sure was something special. He'd pieced together the story through grapevine gossip about how even she'd challenged Kyler Park to the kind of battle he'd instantly wanted to back down from. And he would've, if Hawk and his friends hadn't been there watching from afar, silently cheering him on.
Challenging Kyler was one thing. But for Melissa to challenge Hawk — that was a different tale in and of itself altogether.
OK, I apologize for how short this one is. But work with me here; it's part and parcel of the whole cliffhanger thing for a fanfiction writer.
Anyway, encouraging feedback is superbly appreciated, of course. 😁
