While writing another story, in my ADHD (and autistic) brain, this idea randomly came into my mind. I then went 'I like that idea'. So here we are now, me making this idea into a story lol :D
I also won't specify where in the timeline of Steve Legends this adventure takes place (takes place the very latest, before the Void arc). So you all can decide when the adventure occurs in the timeline yourselves, have fun with that :)
Anyway, without further to do, enjoy the prologue :)
At the Red Elite HQ...
Colle and Beef had just been summoned by the Elite Leader. Colle and Beef are sitting opposite sides of the round table. The Elite Leader is sitting in his usual seat, which has its back facing the wall.
"Have any of you heard from Sharp? I haven't been able to sense his energy signature," Elite Leader asked. It has been a few days since he last heard from him.
"I haven't heard back from him since he said he was exploring a cave a few days ago- I'm still surprised he actually went, he isn't one who would want to go caving. Maybe he's making another outpost, and needs to make it private for some reason?" Colle replied, and proposed.
"He just better of not got himself stuck in a library again," Beef huffed while crossing his arms.
"Boss, can you take us to where you last sensed Sharp?" Colle asked the Elite Leader.
"No. I have lost literally all sense of him. At first I thought he just went to explore somewhere, because even if I do lose sense of him or any of you, I normally sense your energy signatures again. But it's been three days, and I still don't sense Sharp's energy signature," The Elite Leader explained. There is nothing but silence from Sharp.
"Like Colle said, Sharp might have created an outpost. Perhaps we could first go looking for this outpost? Provided that he made one by the cave of course," Beef suggested.
"Again, I don't know where he went. One moment I had his energy signature, and then at the other, I don't. Complete blackout," The Elite Leader clarified, which Beef responds with a shrug.
"He's most likely just still out there exploring. Lets just hope he's only in a really deep dark cave where his signature can't be detected," Colle tries to be optimistic.
The elites hear the door open. Running in is Sharp, who is dirty with some dark mossy substance. He runs to the table and collapses, but lands across the table, breathing in and out rapidly.
"Woah- Sharp!?" Colle flinches, as did the Elite Leader. Sharp's sudden appearance even made Beef jump a little. Sharp is very visibly distressed, but by what?
"Sharp, where have you been?" The Elite Leader sternly inquired. He has been worried about Sharp.
"Man that was close... it almost caughtme..." Sharp is exhausted. He had been running away from something.
"Caught...? Were you being chased by a spider again?" Beef teased, laughing at Sharp.
"Beef, be quiet- What was chasing you, Sharp?" Colle inquired. After catching his breath, Sharp sits down on the seat next to Colle, and begins explaining the story.
"When I went caving... I kept going deeper and deeper. I wanted to be a bit braver after this expedition. So I continued to go deeper until... until I feel down- luckily I landed in some water," Sharp paused to take a breath, then continues.
"Respect," Said Beef, responding to what Sharp said about wanting to be a bit more brave.
"I found that I was in this... big ruin covered in this... dark moss, I don't know what- I tried to get out by teleporting- surprise surprise, I couldn't," Sharp paused again.
"What was it that was chasing you though?" Colle asked, wanting Sharp to cut to the chase.
"As I tried teleporting- something was set off, it sounded like... gargling marbles, followed by a loud shriek or scream. I was then blinded momentarily," Sharp paused, then continues.
"Fast forward, while trying to find my way out, I set whatever it was two more times. After the third time... I felt the ground shake, and some massive creature covered in this moss came out of the ground. Its heartbeat was loud and- and jt had a... a blue thing in its chest that lit up with each heartbeat," Sharp described the creature with as much detail as he could.
"How big was this supposed creature?" Beef asked.
"Remember how big the Ruin was? This creature is lot bigger than that," Sharp answered Beef.
"It... it- Five spiders then fell down, and this creature... it... it heard them fall. It shrieked, its shriek sounded like a roar- and then... it obliterated all the spiders in seconds," Sharp trembled. He is scared of just one spider, but this creature demolished 5 of them like nothing.
"Five spiders ain't much. I took on twenty," Beef bragged.
"I soften them up with lightning remember?" Colle sternly reminded Beef.
"Yeah yeah," Beef chuckled. He is not taking the big scary creature story seriously.
"Anyway, carry on Sharp," Colle lets Sharp continue describing the events.
"It then came towards me, but not immediately... it seems this creature relies on sound and smell to track its target. It kept trying to smell where I was," Sharp described the creature's behaviour.
"It got so close I freaked out and I tried running away. But it heard me, shrieked at me and then it started chasing me... it chased me out of the ruin and shooted this... charge of sound at me- and these sound charges went through blocks!" Sharp exclaimed.
"Luckily I got to a place where I could teleport out before it could strike me with that sound thing- the first one still stings a little," Sharp added.
"Yeah I've heard enough, this needs investigating. Whatever this creature is, it poses a dangerous threat to the steves, should it come to the surface," The Elite Leader came to his conclusion.
"Colle, Beef, I'll need you to investigate this ruin. Sharp, teleport them to the cave you entered. Then you may teleport back and have some rest," The Elite Leader instructed his elites.
"Yes, definitely, we have to see what we're dealing with here. It would be a big problem if this creature found its way to the surface," Colle nodded in agreement.
"I'm more interested to see what's inside this ruin. Maybe we could collect some items if we find any," Said Beef. He isn't fazed by Sharp's story about this big scary creature.
"Yeah, we can also collect anything we see while we're at it," Colle nodded.
"Anyway Beef, you ready?" Colle checked.
"Of course," Beef nodded.
"Okay, Sharp, send us to the exact same cave entrance," Colle said as him and Beef get out of their chairs and went over to stand next to each other. Sharp then summons lightning on them, teleporting them to the location of the cave's entrance.
