(Short Shot, EaW-like Story with Mechs) The Sole Human on Equis has been one of the Valuable Ravens during a Long between the Ponies and the Non-Ponies. But even he and a Random Partner should know, with a 1 of 2 chances a Boss will come and try to foil him. (Featuring an R63d Spike called by Codename: 'Barbic')

(AN: Really wanted to do a Short Shot based on the 'Equestria at War' fanfics, but with some Twists. You should know, I enjoy such Fictions involving Mechs and Blowing up Stuff. Including the Gundam Series, Armored Core, BattleTech, and much more. So in this fic, the Main Player is on the Non-Pony Faction in this Random Skirmish. Armored Cores and Wanzers from 'Front Mission' exists in my Short.

Without further ado, Enjoy the Short Shot)

[MISSION NAME: KNIGHT SLAYER]
[PLACE: BADLAND OASIS]
[MISSION TIME: 1104 HOURS]
[ESTIMATED SUCCESS RATE: 75%]

The dust storm is slowly picking up somewhere in the Oasis Edges of the Badlands. And sounds of Energy Lasers and Heavy Gunfire spread in this Dimension filled with Low-Detailed Polygon Manned weapons known as Mechs.

Pitch-Black Mechs with Insect Motifs are pinned by the Rocks, with Six remaining, while the other Twelve were demolished by the Elegant Gold-White Mechs standing 4-feet taller than them. Equestria's Six Elegant Mechs nicknamed the Wanzer are firing Lasers, Cannon Slugs, and whichever blazing. The Changelings are the Same Wanzers, at least Efficient enough to fight.

However, the Elegant Wanzers got Elite Help, the Four Taller Wanzers known as Project 'Broncoid' has been the tough challenge as they are packed with powerful Arsenals, and Tough Armor. The battle has lasted for an Hour, and the Changelings are unable to retreat without suffering additional casualties.

The Dark-Mulberry turned to find the Flying Dropship approaching. Hatch Door opens and two Non-Wanzers are seen Walking out and dropping down.

"Cap! Those are Armored Cores!" one of the Changeling Pilots alerted,

"No doubt. They're the Ravens! They're on our Side." assured Captain Pharynx,

'Long Dirk' is the Pilot of his Missile Cruiser AC in Sea-Green Colors, 'Stegosaur'. Armed with Two Shoulder Launchers. The Right-Shoulder's Launcher carries 64 Pods, each that launces Four Homing Missiles on one Target, but can lock onto Three at once. The Left-Shoulder Launcher fires Non-Homing Rockets, and carries up to 80. For the Mains, his Stegosaur carries a Light Machinegun, and that's it. He can swap out the LMG for two Energy-powered Laser Pistols.

'Barbic' is the Partner tagging along 'Long Dirk', piloting her Medium-Class yet Versatle AC in Purple and Green, 'FireWyrm'. FireWyrm carries the Standard Rifle and Laser Blade, but her Shoulder-weapons are a different Story. The Left shoulder is a Non-Pod Launcher, but fires two At once, capable of homing in on the Air Targets, while the Right shoulder has the Plasma Rail Cannon, which requires her to be Stationary.

Both Stegosaur and FireWyrm's AC are equipped with the Improved Radar Systems, negating the need for Shoulder Radars.

"Ravens! We're pinned down behind the Boulders." alerted Pharynx through the Comm Systems. "Your help is appreciated."

[Combat Systems...Nominal]

"This is Long Dirk and Barbic." Long Dirk introduced, "The ravens will Deal with the 'Broncoids'. Barbic, you got the Rail Lines. I'll provide cover with Missiles."

"Confirmed. I'll see you on the Range." The FireWyrm slides down the Canyon and lands on the Rocky Platform, before Arming the Plasma Rail Cannon, and Firing one Shot. One beam that cuts through the Golden Broncoid. It destroyed the Right Arm Part with the Rifle, disabling it.

Elegant Wanzers opening fire with Rifles and Machine Guns, but even they Got Pulverized when Stegosaur launched Four Micro-Pods, downing Each Elegant Wanzers with Four Homing Missiles. Stegosaur switches to the Machinegun and fillst he other Broncoid with more Bullets.

"Thanks for the Save, Ravens. We should be Home-Free." one of the Changeling Pilots said,

"Don't celebrate yet." said Pharynx, "More Knights are coming. Get ready to push back. The Ravens will take the Front. Once their numbers are thinned out, we can get to the Transport Hover-Carrier."

"Affirmative, Captain." Barbic replied,

"Your Support is well Appreciated." added Long Dirk

More Elegant Wanzers approaching, but the Changelings and the two Ravens now have the Upperhand. FireWyrm using the Rifle to down each Wanzer in 4 Shorts. As one of the Elegant Wanzer closes in, the FireWyrm counters with a Swing of its Energy Blade equipped to the left Mechanized Arm. For Stegosaur, it can deliver Punts to send each Elegant Wanzers flying.

The Insect Wanzers providing return fire using Laser Weapons, supporting the Ravens and zapping down the Elegant Wanzers.

"Multiple Air Bogies!" alerted one of the Changeling Pilots,

"I see it! Bardic, Time for some Air Cleaning!" Long Dirk ordered,

Stegosaur and FireWyrm readies their Missile Launchers. They wait until the Lock On Text appears on the Monitor, before pulling the Trigger. Stegosaur's Two next Pods flying out, before opening the Shells, launching four Stinging Missiles, four for each Hi-Tech Jet Planes. FireWyrm only needs one Missile each for other other Air Bogies.

After some Anti-Air Chores, three more Broncoids approaching, but they are not the same Gold-White.

"Watch yourself. They're the Best of the Best." warned the Changeling Pilot, "Especially Starswirl."

[Three Broncoids Identified. 'Arcane', 'Bulwark', and 'Hell Party']

"Long Dirk. I'm going for Plasma Rails."

"Rog. And I got the Pod Missiles."

"All the Changelings should never have any Help." said the Pilot inside the Pale-Blue Broncoid 'Arcane'. No doubt from Long Dirk that they are the Toughest Soldiers of Harmony, especially Starswirl the Bearded Pilot. "In order for Harmony to be Maintained, all those Bugs must be Eradicated. No Mercy, and No Quarters."

[CODE RED! Enemy AC Approaching!]

"I can guess who that is." Long Dirk growls, tightening his grip on the Controls.

Long Dirk spots the Red-coated Dropship opening the Hatch, and a Dark-Red and Yellow AC lands.

[AC Identified...as 'Sinsara']

"Sinsara?! That's Biggoh's AC!"

"Long Dirk! I haven't forgot what you did Last Year." shouted the Pilot 'Biggoh'. "I will have Justice!"

"Barbic, Stay with the Changelings." Long Dirk ordered, "I'll deal with this."

"Against 'Sinsara'?" said one of the Changeling Pilots, "Biggoh's the Strongest Pilot the Knights ever Owned!"

"No Worries, Thorax." said Long Dirk, "Those are my Specialty." before launching his Stegosaur, using the Boost to get in range of the Sinsara. "You won't have your Easy 'Paws-itive' Victory this time, Biggoh. I still have the Homing Spikes."

Crosshairs locking on Sinsara, before Launching Homing Missiles. The Sinsara used the Anti-Missile MGs, but its Firing Rate is not enough. Sooner after two tanks it, the other Six hits Sinsara. Stegosaur repeats the Process to keep it at Bay.

"Of course. You always use the 'Rock-Shower'. A weapon for those that Dishonors Combat." said Biggoh,

"In such wars like this." Long Dirk calmly replied, "I cannot play Fair. It's all about Victory."

"You will never be a Warrior like This!" Biggoh lashed out

"Well you'll have to tell your Buddies this." Long Dirk said, "I will be a Sneaky Snake in the Grass to Conquer the Castle, the Raven's Way."

FireWyrm resumes using the Plasma Rail Cannon, stopping any Elite Bronco's advance. Both Stegosaur and Sinsara are dodging and exchanging Gun Blows, with Missiles, Lasers, and Bullets. After two minutes of battle, the 'Arcane' Broncoid is running to push Sinsara back.

"Hey, what's that Grumpy man Doing?" asked Barbic,

"I will not say it again." it wasn't Biggoh speaking, but Starswirl the Pilot of Arcane, "Leave this Battlefield now! Do not Interfere with the Knight's Business!"

"NO!" Sinsara Punches Arcane out if the way, "This is MY mission too!"

The fight then breaks out, with Sinsara and Arcane exchanging Fire Shots at each others.

"Sentry and Surprise, focus on the Mission." said Starswirl, "Disobey once and I won't hesitate to brand you as a Traitor."

"Well, this is Unexpected." Long Dirk said, "They're having an Overheated Debate."

"I'm not siding with Him but..." Barbic said, "Starswirl's pride is going to be his Downfall."

"Either way, we've got Changeling buddies to Get to Safety." Long Dirk said, "Let's focus on the Other Broncoids." as the Stegosaur continue to open fire, blasting with Missiles while both Bulwark and Hell Party tried to get in closer, but it is not easy without getting bombarded by the Missiles.

Meanwhile, Sinsara using the Twin-Barrel Slug Rifle against the Dodging Arcane using Magic Ray Rifle to return fire.

"I've had ENOUGH with your Interference, Raven." Starswirl raged at Biggoh, the Pilot of Sinsara, "If words will not persuade you, then I will use LETHAL FORCE!"

"Challenging me with that Weak Broncoid?" Biggoh dared, "You should know that I fought dozens of those. I know their Weak Points, their Drawbacks."

Meanwhile, both Bulwark and Hell Party is severely Damaged by barrage of Missiles and Plasma Rails.

"Starswirl, we're taking too much." said the Pilot of Bulwark,

"We can't take anymore." yelped the Pilot of Hell Party,

"Doesn't Matter!" Starswirl shot back, "Keep attacking now."

"That's gonna be suicide, Soldier." Long Dirk said, "You know how powerful the ACs are. Attempt to fight me and you won't come back alive."

"Ravens, Can you hear?" That was Captain Pharynx speaking, "We're able to make it out without any more Casualties. Thanks for the Assist." Long Dirk and Barbic can see the Changelings leaving through the Rear now the Enemy Broncoids are being Defeated. Ravens of the Non-Pony side have cleared the Mission, with plenty of Ammo and minor Scratches on their ACs.

[Battle Achieved... Exiting all Combat Systems.]

"Well, too bad for you, Starswirl." Long Dirk said, while the Stegosaur AC crosses its Arms. FireWyrm AC appears from behind and gives the Stegosaur a Bunny Ears Finger. "The Changelings got away safely. Non-Ponies, Seven. Ponies, Two."

"And us as well. If only Starswirl can swallow his pride and...well no matter. " Biggoh said, "Long Dirk. You better stay healthy until the next Battle. I will face you in a Fair Fight, anytime and anywhere."

"If you are going to insist on your Meddlings, Red Raven." Starswirl growled, "Then I am forced to-" his Communications are cut short by the White-Cyan Broncoid, Elegant and Legendary with the Jet Wings. They give a Nod before the Three Broncoids with a Downed Arcane runs out of there. The Sinsara AC also follows.

"Barbic, Let's head back." Long Dirk said, "Our mission here's over." as he spots the Dropship approaching. Stegosaur and FireWyrm climbs on and the Hatch Closes.
