Hi all, it's Keyslinger here. Happy New Year to you all, and I hope you had happy holidays during December.
It's been a long time since I posted anything, for a myriad of reasons. Two of them being I had a lot to both worry about and focus on IRL (something that catches up with us all at some point) and the frustrations I've been having with the Fanfiction site itself. Ranging from the sight not working well or stuff taking too long to load, to several people on the sight trying to scam me left, right and center with stuff like art requests and such (which, I admit, I almost fell for during the first couple of instances).
Basically, I wasn't having a fun time with it, so I just stopped. However, I also felt upset with it because I loved writing FanFics, dipping my toes into the writing world, getting more creative, being able to make something with the thoughts in my mind for once. It was also good hearing what you all had to say about the Fics, ranging from small comments to full reviews, from the simple insults to the praises. It wasn't the reason why I was writing, but I appreciated everyone of you taking the time to read the stories.
And so, with the New Year, I've decided to get back into writing fanfics, simply for the fun of it. It may not be frequent but I'll keep going. I'll be making plans on how to go about the next few stories.
That, unfortunately brings me to another change I'll be making. I'm going to delete most of my stories, starting from scratch. Most of them are ones I haven't updated in years, and I don't feel the wish to keep writing them. The only exceptions will be 'Dark Trials' (the newer version simply because it was the one I enjoyed writing the most) and the 'Fairy Tail: Dark Void' rewrite (which I had some great suggestions for and want to try out). I may be making some changes to the text of what's there already just to clean them up a bit, so sorry in advance if you get blindsided by any changes.
Having said that, if there are some stories that you think I should keep, then feel free to mention it in the review section, if there's a reason I should. Many of you did enjoy those stories so I wish to give you a say.
I probably won't continue it as is, but I will start from scratch and make into something less messy and more planned and enjoyable… although, I'm not a professional writer so we'll see how that goes. I'll be deleting the stories on the 18th January, but be sure to speak up if you wish.
Lastly, just because it was a genuine pain to deal with, if anyone does want to make art, comics or doodles of anything based of these stories, you're probably not going to hear a response from me, at least for a long while. If you decide to make stuff, then it's your decision.
