A tear fell down his cheek. It burned it's way down, sticking onto his skin before continuing it's journey down his cheek again, falling to the fabric of his neck and blending among the others, disappearing once again.

It had been long since he'd felt that, it had been long since he'd felt the need to feel that. But, it came stronger than ever. His hand interlocked with the one beneath his, scratching softly her almost pale skin. His gloves sticking to his hands increasingly as he watched the health monitor next to them. It had been just today in the morning when he could feel the heat radiate from her skin as her nails scratched his back, leaving marks, marks that burned in the present with the memory of the past. It had been just today in the morning when she clang onto him, and it was just now when he clang onto her, his head falling softly onto the crook of her neck as his hand grabbed tighter the immobile hand of hers, his teeth gritting loudly.

His vision blurred as his eyes flooded with tears, pushing them together to ignore the clear future that was represented in the vision of his current present. His other hand crashed against his own thigh, his impotence powering over him as his throat closed, the tears of his eyes falling rapidly down his cheeks.

The small sounds of the mere attempt to untie the knot in his throat filled the room as his head fell against the headrest of the chair again, his hand grabbing tightly her hand; he hissed faintly as the fine blanket that covered her pale body got up, scrunched in between of their interlocked hands, reminding him of the indecensy and state of her health. He gritted his teeth as the view of their interlocked hands seemed of the same body -- reminding him of how pale her skin had become.

Oh, to curse the impotence he had. He hated this. He needed to do something. It felt horrible to see her like this. But worse it felt to not be able to do anything. His teeth gritted together once again. The movement of his twitching thigh making her curls move so slightly, the feeling of her so close yet so far making his throat close again. His resting hand pulled the bridge of his nose, his leg twitching heavily. It had been just today in the morning when his legs twitched against hers, it had been just today in the morning when her hands tangled his jet black waves, combing it in a way his hands will always comb.

He hissed involuntarily, the knot in his throat tying him to his seat, straining him from doing anything to help her, anything at all. He groaned again, his muscles stiffening as his cheeks wettened and burned, the cold in their interlocked hands a clear and loud reminder of the memory of the heat of her body.

He couldn't bring himself to rest his eyes, let alone open them. The pure agony he felt once the small but loud beep sound came once in a long, long while was something... Something he never felt before, and wished he would have never felt in his whole life.

Slowly, very slowly, his muscles started relaxing as he very softly fell on her chest. His thoughts came to an end as they both laid together. It had only been today in the morning when they noticed the poison in her blood, it had only been today in the morning when her life was cut in half, and it was just now when Robin's impotence finally came to an end, the poison already did effect.
