Another Year Has Come and Gone

It was a cold day here at the Aether Kingdom as despite the Christmas celebrations being over already the holiday celebrations continue all the way to bring in the upcoming New Year. But for now let us join Caleb, Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Samus Aran, Fox McCloud, Matt Sterling, Krystal, and the rest of the Star Fox Team and the Super Smash Bros Team as they look back at all the stuff our heroes did this year. It then shows Caleb, Matt, Samus, Mario, Luigi, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Fox, Krystal, Matt, and the rest of the Star Fox Team and the Super Smash Bros team in a living room with some holiday decorations still up and a fire blazing in the fireplace as it snows outside.

"Oh hello there, some members of the team and I were just going over all the stuff that happened in 2024." Caleb said to the viewers.

"Oh yes! It has been such a great year for all of us!" Matt Sterling said to the viewers as his tail perks up with joy.

"We competed in a Tag Team Tournament, fought some zombie brats, celebrated Matt's birthday, met Big Hero Six, defeated a legally distinct insufferable animation critic on Christmas, and we even saw the Mane Nine as fillies!" Mario said as the moments from Super Smash Bros: Tag team Tournament, Left 4 Dead: Cooties, Super Smash Bros X DESTINYVERSE: Matt's Big Birthday Bash, Super Smash Bros X DESTINYVERSE: A Multiversal Christmas, and MLP: Making a Foal of Me are seen in a flashback montage.

"Why do the Mane Nine look so kickable when that happened? You know what, I'm going to put that theory to the test. Why? For science that's why!" Matt Sterling exclaims.

"Matt, where are you going?" Fox asked his teammate.

"Come on bossman, it is going to be fun!" Matt says with enthusiasm.

"Ok then this better be good" Fox said with a shrug and a small smile.

*HOME-RUN CONTEST (SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL)*

We then cut to Matt Sterling in an open field with some of the Maine Nine as fillies again (don't ask how). Matt then charges up to them with his speed booster and with all the power fueled by his intrusive thoughts he punts the fillies into the air at Mach 4 speed as the "It's out of the park!" sound and graphic from Wii Sports plays over the footage.

"And now we're back! I'll admit it was kind of funny honestly and Slippy is analyzing the data from that kick as we and by the looks of it he's shocked at the data" Tails says as he turns to Slippy seeing the data gathered from that kick in shock.

"Yeah and uh anyway. We'll be showing highlights from this year, a few sneak peeks for some upcoming stories/adventures we have in store, a few updates on the Tag Team Tournament Story, and all sorts of things." Mario said.

"Alright then get this recap started!" Caleb said.

Story Highlights First Round of Interviews

"So everyone, what were some of your favorite moments that happened this year?" Caleb asked our heroes.

"I personally think some of my matches with Amuro Ray during the Tag Team Tournament were just awesome." Samus said before taking a sip of hot cocoa.

"I have to admit that match where you and Amuro defeated Master Chief and Nick Carter was amazing since we did see that match." Fox McCloud said as clips from the match play out in the form of flashbacks.

"I have to admit that Amuro is the real deal considering all his achievements from the One Year War all the way to now!" Mario said.

"Woah, I guess the guys on Earth don't call him "the White Meteor" for nothing!" Sonic said.

"Well he is one of the top Mobile Suit Ace pilots after all!" Luigi said.

"And the fact that he took down Nick Carter as Teknoman Blade while only the RX-78-2 Gundam's beam sabers really shows how versatile he is with his weapons! Combine that with your suit's firepower Samus, I would say that you guys had that match in the bag!" Caleb said with admiration as Samus smiled.

"I even believe that Amuro's Newtype abilities drastically improved during the time he was with you guys and during the tournament since I noticed his reflexes are quicker than the last time I checked. And how could I forget your matches Fox and Krystal because you guys killed it out there!" Matt Sterling said as he mentioned Amuro's improving Newtype abilities along with Fox and Krystal's respective matches.

"I personally felt that battle where we fought all those zombie brats was awesome and actually kind of fun! Don't tell Aria this but I was expecting Twilight and her friends to become a happy meal for those rotten little meatsacks, but I have to admit they were useful in that fight" Matt Sterling said with a slight chuckle as clips from their Mission at Fort Chicken Illinois played out in the form of flashbacks.

"Well I'm glad we won't be dealing with those guys from Happy Poultry anymore since that was some scary stuff!" Luigi said with a nervous laugh.

"Alright everyone, now let's get into our first round of interviews of some of the new members who will be joining us in the stories that take place after The Tag Team Tournament!" Caleb announced.

New Member Interview #1: Humphrey Lupus, Kate Silverfang, Lilly Silverfang, Garth Howler, Candu Woods, Hutch Lupus, Rick Gallus, and the members of the 125th Legion

We see Caleb sitting down with four familiar anthropomorphic wolves in Star Fox Team Uniforms (Can you take a wild guess who all these characters are reimagined versions of?) along with two other familiar anthro wolves and a male human in Galactic Federation Marine Trooper power suits/armor, the one with the black fur marking on his face that looks like war paint has blue markings on his armor that are similar to a famous Clone Captain of the 501st Legion and the other has blue and orange markings that are similar to two other famous Clone Troopers from the 501st Legion and the 212th Attack Battalion While the male human has markings similar to two other famous 501st Clone Troopers.

"So since you four are the newest members of the Star Fox team I got to ask how does it feel for you guys to be part of the famous heroic and brave mercenary group that both the Galactic Federation and Corneria admire greatly? As for you two, how does it feel for you guys and the rest of the 125th being under the command of the Star Fox Team? Caleb asked the group of wolves.

"Well the experience so far has been a little daunting but mostly that feeling is eased due to how close the team is with everyone here." Garth said.

"I mean everyone here's always watching each other's backs and supporting each other both in and out of combat like we're just one big family that sticks together no matter what." Lilly said

"Despite that most of the times the top brass of the Galactic Federation Armed Forces and the Cornerian Armed Forces speak of us highly which could give any rookie assigned to a famous Legion, Battalion, Regiment, squad, etc. cold feet at first, but it's all worth it when you really give it your all out there which gives you a sense of pride honestly." Kate said.

"I mean we all heard the stories about the exploits of the Star Fox team and even Samus Aran when we were kids and during our cadet years. But I can speak for all of us here that flying in an Arwing is what I dreamed it would be like!" Humphrey said

"Well as for us the rest of the men of the 125th, we all trust Fox and the rest of the members of Star Fox team as our leaders and as my duty as second in command of the 125th Legion I'll make sure all of us give it our all out there!" Hutch said with determination.

"I personally think all that training was worth it! We're basically the jack of all trades here! I even heard some people caught wind of our missions where we used these unconventional yet crazy tactics to win those battles back there and that's how we probably ended up here. Let's just be nice and say the Brotherhood of Evil is going to get their tails kicked badly now that we're around!" Candu said with a laugh.

"Since the moment we were put under the command of the famous Star Fox team the entire Legion's morale soared since these guys were really famous and seeing us all at that one Bar and Grille on the Macross Supremacy having a toast to our new commanders it lit a fire that burns with determination and pride!" Rick Gallus said.

New Member Interview #2: Dr. Edward Richtofen, Tank Dempsey, Nikolai Belinski, Takeo Masaki, Marlton Johnson, and Abigail "Misty" Briarton

Caleb is now sitting down with a German-American man with a white office shirt who is polishing a unique weapon he calls the Wunderwaffe DG-2, an American man wearing a United States Marine Corps outfit, a Russian man wearing a Soviet Spetsnaz outfit who is drinking some vodka, a Japanese man in a JSDF outfit cleaning his katana, a young man in a white collar shirt who is adjusting his glasses, and a young woman with a countryside outfit.

"After our mission at Survival Land, how are you guys feeling about working with each other again after your "rocky" reunion and how do you guys feel about working with the rest of the team so far?" Caleb asked the German Scientist and his colleagues.

*SAMANTHA'S LULLABY MOB OF THE DEAD VER (CALL OF DUTY BLACK OPS II)*

"Well after that whole mess with Project Janus back in the 90s and somehow I found the souls of my counterparts from the Primis and Ultimis timelines in the Dark Aether and they fused with me as well as "revived" Tank Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo as well as Marlton and Misty. After a while we met Aries and went from there, we even reunited with Dr. Monty somehow. But to make a long story short Aries pulled a few strings to help us and that's when we met that Matt Sterling fellow, and now that there are bigger threats than the Apothicons out there, I'll do anything to defeat them and atone for my mistakes. Edward Richtofen said as he flashed back to how he reunited with his old crew and retold the events that lead him here.

"Honestly I have to admit it ain't that bad honestly. I'm just glad that I'm kicking ass again! As for some of the other team members, they have a lot of guts during that battle, I'll tell you that and I am glad to be working with them!" Tank Dempsey said.

"Since I'm back in action I feel like things have gotten more lively now!" Nikolai said as he took a drink.

"Young Caleb I, as with all of us here, are honored to be a part of this team of heroes! I have to admit your swordsmanship skills are very admirable! Takeo said while complementing Caleb.

"Everything that I have experienced has been astounding so far and honestly I feel like this team is just the perfect group of people to be around!" Marlton said.

"If things are about to get crazy in the future, count me in! I mean if we can survive thousands of zombies, I think we can kick some real ass!" Misty said with a confident look.

"That's it for our first round of interviews for our new members of the Super Smash Bros Team. Now please look at these sneak peeks at some of the stories MegaCharles20 and FederationEnforcer125 have in store for next year." Matt Sterling said.
