Hey! So, my name is Roxy Goth and I decided to write this not-entirely serious series of AU's. I was basically thinking what would happen if the Ooze hadn't hit…turtles? What would its effects be on other creatures and how would that work? Hark this:
These are going to focus on the origins of various combo's rather than an actual series, so the endings may be a bit abrupt.
First One - Kitties! (And A Dog)
I do not own TMNT, any associated characters or the Ooze.
The four kittens were hungry. Left in a box by the side of the road, they mewled pitifully. Unfortunately, maybe due to the noise of the busy road or just the fact that no one bothered to listen to them, they were left there.
A commotion happened above them as an old man holding a canister nearly stepped out in front of the road and a young man with a dog shoved him out the way. The canister broke and spilled and the box was knocked over in the chaos.
"Oh my god, there's kittens!" Someone shrieked. "Quick, grab them before they get run over!"
"Yoshi! Come back!" A male voice shouted. "YOSHI!"
Car horns went wild, cars stopped sharply and there was a LOT of screaming. A few brave people grabbed the kittens but - to worked up - they clawed, bit and squirmed and managed to get free.
The kittens shot into a nearby alleyway and into a handy building that was scheduled for demolition.

Yoshi was aware he was...different. He stood and immediately almost lost his balance. He looked down...two? Two legs? What had happened to his front- he moved them and his front paws came up. Arms. Like his master.
Talking of...he sniffed the air and looked round. No sign of Mat.
He quickly got the hand of this news body, stumbling towards the top of the alley. Ah, there was Mat! On the other side of the road, with a few other people all knelt round the old man with the odd-smelling water. He barked happily - but it came out rather strange and all of them looked at him.
More screaming and shouting. Things were thrown at him and Yoshi ran. He could hear Mat yelling his name in the background, but his flight instinct was to strong and he ran to a building and climbed up the scaffolding on the outside. At the top there was a handy hole and he squeezed his new body through landing on his feet with ease. His ears pricked up as he heard crying. He straightened up. If something needed protecting he was the Yoshi for the job. Mat had often congratulated him for that.
He carefully stepped around the debris, he was sure that with these softer feet it would hurt if he had something in his paws, and headed towards the nearest sound.
A small thing was yowling. It sounded like a cat, but the scent was wrong. Part cat, part...human? Yoshi shook his head and knelt down next to the small thing. About the same size as a small human baby, but covered with fur like a cat. The creature was angry, wailing loudly and throwing its little fists around. Yoshi picked it up and it quietened a little. Up close Yoshi could see the bright orange eyes and blue/grey fur. He stroked the baby's head gently and the baby followed his hand, mouth puckered looking for food.
Ah. Food. His stomach growled a little. Ok, a lot. And if he was hungry, goodness knows how the small thing was feeling. However, he could hear more of the wailing, so Yoshi headed towards the next small thing.
This one was a ginger small thing with green eyes. Sounding angry beyond belief, unlike the other, this one didn't still when it was swooped up and - if anything - screamed louder. It hit the other small thing in the face and then they were both howling. Yoshi - instinct kicking in - joined and they both went silent, staring up at him with big eyes.
There was one more wailing sound and Yoshi tracked it down. Now he had two small things, he knew the sort of scent he was tracking.
Bloody hell, this one was the loudest yet. Long and lean, its fur was short but dark. The good news was once Yoshi picked it up - balancing it under his chin - it had gone silent. He could hear one more and knew he wouldn't be able to balance all the squirming little creatures. He did some quick calculations and put the blue one down. Feeling confident he readjusted the other two under his arms and headed towards the fourth wail. Of course the second he started walking away the blue-eyed one made its displeasure known.
Yoshi rolled his eyes and forced himself to walk away.
The source of the wailing was quite hard to track this time. Rather than being out in the open the final one had got behind a cabinet and was crying loudly, unable to get out. Yoshi was forced to put the other two down and use both paws to grab the cabinet and drag it away from the final wailing thing. This one had managed to get onto its front and spat at Yoshi as soon as it saw him. Yoshi considered moving the cabinet back, but decided against it. He reached in and grabbed the creature, cradling it close against its chest while it screamed in terror.
Yoshi licked the top of the creatures head, hoping to calm it down. It seemed to work as it stopped screaming and started crying instead. Unlike its siblings this one had gold coloured fur with black spotty patches. At least the four were fairly distinct. Yoshi sighed. "I suppose I'll have to come up with a name for you." He said. Then accidentally dropped the creature as he clutched at his throat in shock. Had he…talked? Like Mat used to?
The creature, now on the floor, wailed and slashed at his ankles.
"Ok! Ok!" Yoshi stepped away. "I'll find you some food. There's got to be some around here somewhere…" Before he left he manoeuvred the small creatures so they were in a dark corner, less visible to attackers, and put them as close to each other as they would allow to conserve heat. The long one seemed to understand and cuddled against the blue one. The ginger one was still angry, but allowed itself to be placed next to the spotty one. They wearnt cuddling, but Yoshi hoped they were close enough to share heat.
He sighed and climbed back out the hole to track some food.
