Later, as everyone was at the reception, Julie Powers had been walking around when she bumped into someone.
"I'm sor… Karolina," said Julie while turning to see her ex-girlfriend.
"Hi Julie, I didn't expect to see you here," said Karolina with a smile.
"The Power Pack and Spider-Man teamed up several times before so we were all invited," said Julie as she motioned to her siblings who were nearby talking with some other young heroes.
"I forgot about that," said Karolina.
"By the way, how are things with Nico going?" asked Julie.
"We haven't told anyone yet but we're engaged," said Karolina as she revealed a ring on her left hand.
"Congratulations, I'm glad to see things are going well for you," said Julie.
"And what about you?" asked Karolina.
"Is there anyone special in your life now or are you enjoying the single life for a while?" she asked.
"Actually there is someone," said Julie with a smile.
"Julie," called out a green skinned woman who flew out of the sky.
"Sorry that I'm late, the fight took much longer than I thought it would for just a couple of bank robbers," she said after landing.
"That's alright, Parani, work before fun," said Julie before kissing her.
"Okay, I did not see that coming," said Karolina with a shocked expression.
"We met while off-world a few months back when the Power Pack were on a mission together," said Julie.
"Sorry, did I interrupt something?" asked a concerned Parani while looking between the two girls.
"This is Karolina Dean, my ex-girlfriend," said Julie.
"Oh, it's nice to meet you, Karolina, I'm Parani and I guess you already figured out I'm a Skrull," said Parani while holding out her hand.
"Sorry for my earlier reaction, it's just that there aren't many good Skrulls that I have run into so finding out that my ex is dating one was just a surprise for me," said Karolina.
"Don't worry about it, I understand what you mean," said Parani.
