Wanted to get this out and see what you all think and if I get enough feedback and motivation then I may continue.
Gotham City at night; an armoured truck had been highjacked by masked criminals. They were definitely trained and armed with explosives to threaten any authorities that tries to intervene. However one authority was undeterred
The Batman; the Dark Knight detective hot on the chase with the truck in his state off the art Batmobile. Focused wearing his black and dark grey Batsuit. While the hijackers of the truck may be a step above the normal criminal or thief; they were nothing that he couldn't handle without straining himself.
The criminals had the back door of the truck open and had the explosives ready to use against any resistance. Nothing that he couldn't take care off using the blasters that armed at the hood of the Batmobile.
However through the shields of the Batmobile; he saw a bur run past the Batmobile on the road and then went through the door and knocked out the thieves in the back with them falling out causing him to have to drive around them.
The thieves he could see that were in the drivers' seat knocked out of the door; he then glared as he then saw the truck being driven carelessly along the road.
The Justice League knew that he didn't want other heroes operating in his city unless it was an emergency which this sure wasn't; he knew one speedster personally who was in the League. On the Batcomputer hooked to the controls of the Batmobile; he then called the Flash.
He then had to watch as a bomb was thrown from the window of the truck and right into the contents of a garbage truck making the contents explode. "Hello... Batman.. Bruce; sorry but I was sleeping right now and you know not everyone can do the night shift every day..." answered a groggy Barry Allen making him frown.
"A speedster just interfered in me subduing a high jacking of an armoured truck; carelessly and it sounds like I can cross you off the suspects list." Batman then replied now believing this to the work of an amateur who just became a speedster and is trying to be a hero.
"Trust me; I wouldn't be acting in your city without good reason so if you figure things out or need my help in this then please let me know..." Barry replied as the call ended and the truck took an emergency stopping at the end of the road. Batman emerged from the Batmobile as a blur got out of the truck.
Batman then investigated the truck and found that there were no one inside; all the criminals would have been knocked out and tossed out of the truck by this mysterious speedster. Only thing left to do is return to the Batcave and let the GCPD take care of the criminals and the truck.
High above Earth's orbit there was a damaged space station and in the bridge of the station; there was an obtuse bald headed man with a thick brown moustache; goggles, a black and red longcoat with lines of white who was sitting down upon his throne line seat. A glare on his face as he had his hands together in a contemplating manner.
The figure then called out "Sage... What is the status?" Then appeared before him a holographic figure of a short girl with a stoic face that had short white hair and a black dress but had red glitches in her appearance which included her hair and dress.
"Repairs are 96.43% complete and the cloaking systems are still stable." Sage then said as the figure then banged his fist on the arm of the chair.
"The blasted hedgehog really did a number before we got sent here... If not and if we didn't have to put all our power into cloaking ourselves as well as repairs... We could have conquered this world by now... Started an all new Eggman Empire..." snapped the figure shaking his head. "How about the Chaos Emeralds tracking software?" the figure then asked Sage.
"Fully Functional." Sage replied as the figure then grinned to himself.
"Great... Better than great... Perfect! Get to work picking up the signatures on this world and we shall collect them..." the figure then instructed but then there was a beam and then there was a bald headed human figure in a green and dark purple technological bodysuit. The figure on his seat then snapped out loud after jumping from his seat "what the... How did you... Activate security measures! Aim for the head!"
Soon from the doors came the E-Series robots that began firing at the stranger's head but they did no damage against the stranger's suit or the forcefield around his head as he was just smirking.
"Remarkable bit of machinery in your space station. Could put the Watchtower to shame; your cloaking technology wasn't enough for me to pinpoint it. Let me introduce myself; Lex Luthor future ruler of Earth and who may I have the pleasure of speaking to?" the stranger then greeted the figure who got up and was taller than Lex as he came over.
"Doctor Ivo Gerald Robotnik but you may call me Doctor Eggman... Future ruler of whatever world this is... Leader of the great Eggman Empire... What are you doing here?" demanded the figure as Luthor raised an eyebrow.
"Want to offer a partnership. Combine our resources; you tell me about what world you came from and I can act as your guide to Earth. Plus we can hep eachother retrieve the rest of these..." Luthor then replied as he then produced from his hands a glowing silver gem that caught Eggman and Sage's attention.
"A Chaos Emerald..." Eggman remarked as the then smirked and took Luthor's free hand to shake. "Welcome to my humble abroad and the things I can tell you about what that is capable off all on it's own... Much less when put together with it's 6 siblings..."
Sage then stared at this and made a mental note; prepare for the perfect time to betray Lex Luthor before he inevitably betrays him first.
Batman drove the Batmobile back to the Batcave; after arriving back he then went to the Batcomputer to start preparations on what to do with this newest speedster. It needed to be taken care of quick as he and the Justice League were dealing with something else which would take more priority; 72 hours ago 7 energy signatures crashed onto Earth and the Justice league managed to make it to the landing spot and found what seemed to be a powerful gem. Despite the relatively small size; the energy readings were more than what their scanners could create. Each of the gems would be dangerous alone but 7 of them on Earth...
They had to find where the rest were stored while keeping the one they found safe and secure. A war could be waged over all 7 of them and could bring unwanted attention to Earth.
However he then got an alert that someone was hacking into the Batcave's security system; a quick look at the security monitors showed that a blue blur was entering through one of the Batcave's entrances. He then quickly activated the Speed Force dampening field in the Batcave; one of the contingencies if one of his allies went rogue and tried to attack the Batcave.
He then opened up a secret vault with his contingency weapons and got out a cold gun; built from studying Mr Freeze's technology and the Cold Gun used by Captain Cold.
He then got into position but saw the blue blur going through the Batcave no problem; the field not doing anything to him. This was alarming as it looked like this speedster didn't access the Speed Force to run so fast; however he went to work firing at the direction fo the blue blur and had to dodge as it came his way but then found the figure went to the Batcomputer and put a drive in.
Batman launched himself at the blur but then the figure launched itself as like a ball at his gut and sent him back. He got up with a grunt as the blur then left. "Master Bruce... What happened..." Alfred Pennyworth his trusted butler asked going through the entrance from Wayne Manor as he helped him up.
Once he recovered enough; Batman got to the Batcomputer and quickly looked at it; "The intruder... He used a drive to access the files relating to the Watchtower and the teleportation technology..." grunted Batman as he then put up the surveillance footage and slowed it down as slow as it was able to.
Batman and Alfred watched as the blue blur was a bipedal hedgehog who looked to the cameras and waved and gave a grin. "Alfred... Please go to the Wayne family cellar and open up a bottle for me... preferably something at least 200 years old..." Batman told him trying to begin how to explain this to the League.
Okay so we have an upcoming Sonic and DC crossover comic with the Justice League coming to Sonic's world to help fend off an invasion from Darkseid so here is my spin on the concept of both worlds converging. Starting this on the day that I had earlier seen Sonic 3 for the 2nd time. Speaking on the movies; you can see the inspiration for this chapter coming from the second one.
Yeah Eggman has found a partner in Lex Luthor and Sage already knows that this is likely going to end up like all the rest of her father's partnerships.
What happened that brought Sonic and Eggman at least to the DC universe? Wait and see...
