Scene 7 - Any Good Deeds Left?!
Ryan is starting to get worried since he still can't find a good nature deed to do. The explorers come back, and Ranger asks him if he has found his good deed yet. Ryan confesses that he still can't find one, and doesn't know what to do. Elinor expresses sympathy for him, as Ranger starts to frown. Ranger Rabbit gets very sad, saying that it must be because she's a "failure" as a club leader. She gets so sad that she begins crying. Elinor tries to comfort her mother, saying that she is not a failure. Ryan encourages her even further, saying that she's done a great job introducing him to the Explorers' Club along with the other kids. He then tells her that he can do his good deed tomorrow if he can't find one today. After some reassurance from Ryan that she is a good leader, Ranger Rabbit smiles. She does not feel sad anymore! Better yet, Elinor realizes that what Ryan just did was his good nature deed: Helping take care of a creature in need! This makes Ranger Rabbit very happy and proud, and she gives Ryan a big hug! Finally, she gives Ryan his own explorer hat, which is purple, his favorite color! All of the kids cheer for Ryan after his accomplishment, and Olive gives him his own book of badges. Ryan is very excited to now be an official member of the Explorers' Club, and can't wait for their next meeting!
Moral of the story - Oftentimes, you do not have to look far to get an opportunity to help others.
