Much later after the defeat of Zarc the duelists were standing on top of a building in the Standard Dimension, now renamed the Pendulum Dimension after the four dimensions had separated from Arc-V again. To everyone's relief, they saw all of the people in the new world, safe and sound. It meant what the Professor said before was the truth; everyone carded in the original Four Dimensions were now returned, albeit to the newly revived dimensions themselves instead of the Original Dimension.

"So… I guess it's time to say our goodbyes." Finally, Reiji started. He reached out his hand, and Yugi grabbed it for a handshake. "Thank you all for helping us defeat Zarc."

"No problem," the King of Games shook his head. "We cannot just let someone like Zarc destroy the universe, right?"

"So what happens now?" Everyone turned to Yuya, who was holding his Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon card with a dejected look on his face as he was the one who said it.

"All my life I always my dueling could bring smiles to everyone…But it turned out my card was just the tool of a mad person who wanted to destroy the universe… And I was also born as a piece of that maniac… How can I even call myself Dueltainer after learning this awful truth?"

Yugi then sees Atem who nodded as Yugi went over to Yuya. "Yuya have you been taught the origins of Duel Monsters?"

Yuya just blinked in surprise as the King of Games then said. "Long ago in Ancient Egypt around the time of my friend, within my puzzle. Duel Monsters were created as a form of judging the heart of the player. The monster in their heart will reflect the personality of the owner; basically, how the duelists play the game shows whether they're good or bad. That's what the creator of the game, Pegasus told me. But personally, I think no matter what it is, after all, at the core, Duel Monster is still a game. And games are created for people to enjoy, to have fun with. You believe in that, don't you, Yuya? Then just follow what your heart believes in, try your hardest to give people joy, and most importantly, enjoy the ride yourself."

Then he looked up at the sky, which had fully formed at the horizon and was now turning red at dusk. "Pegasus told me the uglier, the more terrible the monsters look, the more evil they are, but I disagree. The cards themselves aren't evil; it's how the duelist uses them that makes them good or bad. Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon has known that and he's been your partner he's been with you in your good times and bad ones so keep trusting Odd Eyes and he'll trust you back because your nothing like Zarc the way I see your Yuya Sakaki a Dueltainer who strives for everyone's smile, and you can protect their smiles with your dragon, not destroy it. Walk your own way, and work so that you won't have to regret your choice."

Then Yugi's body started glowing. Not only him; the three other heroes of the past were also glowing with the same light.

"Well guess this is where we have to part ways!" Said Jaden as the other three nodded in agreement with him.

"Do you have to?" Asked Yuto asked the signer as he shook Jack and Crow's hands. "Perhaps someday destiny might bring us back together.." Jack then said to Yusei. "See you around Yusei!" While Crow gave a thumbs up to his friend from another world.

Yusei nodded as he looked at his closest friend and rival. "You as well Crow and you to Jack!" Then he pulled the throttle, and his red Duel Runner flew to the sky, heading toward the sun before disappearing in a flash of light.

"It's been fun whenever you feel in doubt and worry just respond with a smile!" Jaden said giving a one last thumbs up before taking a running start and leaping off the building before he vanished in another flash of light.

"And never ever lose hope on your wonderful future!" Yuma winked to the ground before he and also disappeared in light when he jumped toward the direction of the sun.

Finally, Yugi grabbed Yuya's hand. "Whenever you start to feel as if your hope is fading away, just think about the battle today and smile. You still have your own way to walk, and there are always people who care for you, who are ready to help you. Understand?"

Yuya nodded. "I understood."

Then the King of Games also disappeared in a flash of light. The rooftop now only had the Lancers, the four boys who used to be Zarc's reincarnations and Akaba Leo left.

All was quiet as no one said anything until Yuri decided to let out a "Hmph!" Before walking away as Yugo said.
"And just where do you think you're going, Yuri you think we'd let you off with a slap on the wrist?!"

As the Fusion user just scoffed. "I have a very big day and I'm not in a position to have a duel after my exhausting day but if you wish to have at it!" Sylvio then said. "Quit it! Because I think two or maybe three duelists at the same time is one thing, but it's all of us here! Do you really think you stand a chance?"

"Oh? Do you want to try?" Yuri sneered, and activated his Duel Disk. While Yuto, Reji, Sora and Aster got into battle positions in case it got ugly until Yuya said. "No, let him go!"

Sylvio then said. "Are you nuts Yuya?! Need I remind you this is the same guys who went and carded half the people in the Dimension War! He also carded your own dad! Why would you let this guy do what he pleases?"

Yuya then said. "I'm not sure when I absorbed him and became Zarc, I had a glimpse of what happened to him when he was a kid. I'm not sure why but I have a feeling to pity him if he does slip and become a second Zarc then we will stop together."

Reji nodded knowing that Yuya will take responsibility if Yuri decides to relapse and slips off his chain as Yuya then said to Yuri.

"Hey Yuri! Next time you see anyone you better not go around hurting other people again, or we will come to get you! But I know you're not like that, right?"

The Fusion user only scowled, then with a few presses of buttons on his Duel Disk, he disappeared in a violet flash, but not before leaving an annoyed huff at Yuya and his group.

Reiji then turned to Leo. "What are you going to do now, Father?"

The Professor sighed. "I'm… not really sure myself. But I think… if you allow me to… I will try my best to find a way to bring those girls back. Now I understand I was wrong when trying to put them back together without even thinking of what they could think; I didn't even think of them as human beings at all. Doing this is the only way I can atone for my sins. Then after that… you can do whatever you want with me; I would accept without question."

"There is something I wish to get off my mind first!" Said Shay as he went over to Leo and gave him a brutal punch to the stomach. The older man crumpled to the ground, clutching his torso in pain.

"That's for everything you've done to the Xyz Dimension but I am willing to forgive you if you bring my sister back."

"Well, that could have been worse," Reiji looked at his father and noted. As Leo sighed and chuckled a bit. "I'll do my best to bring them back to the living plains. I'm sure Ray would agree with me on this." Riley nodded and smiled at the idea.

"Then take all the time and patience you need!" Said Yuto.

A few Months later

Galacta is seen levitating in the background as she was watching how Yuya was going though his mailbox on his Duel Disk as a lot of places were seeking out Yuya's Dueltainer skills but Yuya wasn't interested in any of them. Not when the roads between the Four Dimensions were opened, his chance to spread his Dueltaining was expanded greater than ever before.

These days, he also saw Yugo and Yuto more often, even learnt more about each other and even got into some friendly competition from time to time, even learning that they were also doing their best to rebuild their Synchro and Xyz Dimensions even better than before after the Dimensional war. The only person missing was none other than Yuri; since the final battle, he hadn't heard anything about the Fusion user…

Then his eyes stopped when he saw something interesting. A challenge letter,

"Hey, been a while huh? Meet me at the Arc League Stadium. I hope to see you tomorrow at noon, don't make me wait!"

A day around noon had come as Yuya was now in the Arc League but he wasn't alone Yuto and Yugo had also got the same letter Yuto arrived by foot while Yugo arrived by a newly repaired Duel runner.

"What do you think this is gonna be?" Yugo asked in confusion. Yuto shrugged.

"Who knows? But the fact that all of us were sent that challenge letter means the challenger must be someone who knows all of us."

"Yeah," Yuya nodded in agreement. "Wonder who that could be…"

Suddenly, from the far side of the stadium, a cloaked figure entered. The three boys turned back; their eyes focused on the newcomer warily.

"So you the guy that sent that invite for a challenge?" Demanded Yugo as the hooded figure chuckled to himself or herself and said. "Really slow-go only a few months and you don't know me?"

Just then the three boys' gears in their brains clicked together knowing who this was. "YURI!?"

And said person took off his cloak. Standing on the field right now was Yuri, but he looked nothing like the omnicidal maniac they had known before. In fact, for some reason, he looked like was wearing different types of clothes if one didn't count his violet hair.

"I had some time to myself traveling through the dimensions, I have thought a lot about the reason I lost against you," he pointed at Yuya. "The words of the King of Games have really touched me, and I want to know how it feels to bring joy to people through Dueling. And through a lot of research and training, I have developed my own brand of Dueltaining so here and now, I challenge you, Yuya Sakaki, as a fellow Dueltainer! Let's see whether your Dueltaining or mine will come on top!"

Yuya, Yuto and Yugo were completely speechless as their jaws had dropped by this sudden declaration of Yuri, the maniac who was the terror of both the Academia and the dimensions he went through, as a Dueltainer?! The idea was both wrong and intriguing at the same time.

Yuya shook his head and then said with a smile. "Alright then let's see what you've got!" "Hey no fair Yuya we were also accepted! We want in as well!"

"That's right," Yuto also smiled, and his own Duel Disk flared to life. "I'm also eager to see what kind of Dueltaining he's going to bring us."

"GOOD AFTERNOON DUEL FANS! Seems we have ourselves quite a showdown for the ages brought to us by none other than the Four Dimension Dragons!" A man wearing white and yellow robes like some sort of announcer said. "If you're just joining us my name is R-GAM and it looks like we have quite the showdown that gathered the crowd even Leo's director Reji because the once mighty and feared Yuri, the scourge of all four dimensions has returned and just declared something thought to be impossible. What's he going to do in this remarkable showdown?!"

At the same time…

Leo Akaba was pouring every bit of effort he had into his work. So far, he had already found a hypothesis of how to bring the four Bracelet Girls back without causing any further harm to the dimensions. But he still hadn't received any acceptable result with it. Even so, he didn't give up. He still pushed himself harder and harder each day, because that's what he needed to do…

Suddenly the machine he was working on flared up an alarm. And his eyes widened.

"What… what is this reaction…?!"

The stadium was suddenly lit up when four beams of light with different colors struck it from above. R-gam gasped as he whispered to his camera woman. "Keep rolling! This is pure cinema which is gonna make me rich!" The woman nodded.

"Hey this isn't your Dueltaining plan is it?" Yugo into the blinding light in front of them. "That guy Dueltaining? Well that's a surprise for sure." "Yeah I'll say!"

"Wait…" Yugo and Yuya's eyes widened. "That voice…"

The light faded away, and Skip on the spectator stand burst into tears as did Tate, Allie and Frddderick.

"Yuya we're home!" Said Zuzu who gave her warmest smile to her childhood friend who was struggling to hold back his tears.

"Zuzu!" As he ran over and hugged as Zuzu and Yuya were laughing with tears in the others eyes as Rin then said.

"Hey enough with the water works after all this is supposed to be a duel after all and no way am I missing out on the action let's go girls!"

"Wait, but didn't you just…" Yuto stuttered, but Lulu didn't let him finish his sentence. She pulled him into a hug.

"That's a great idea! Let's have a tag team duel! Yuto and I will be a team!" As Yugo shouted. "Dibs on Rin being my partner!"

Celina groaned as she sweat drops at Yuri before she said with a look of saying she didn't team up with him. "Don't make me regret this!" Yuri chuckled and said back. "Back at you soft paws!"

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH! AN EIGHT-WAY, NO, A TAG TEAM FOUR-WAY BATTLE ROYALE! THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY SUCH A DUEL TAKES PLACE! WHAT WILL THESE DUELISTS GIVE US IN THIS DUEL? LET'S FIND OUT!"

That's right… Now that she's back, I won't have to worry about anything anymore…

Yuya looked at Zuzu and said, "Ready for this Zuzu?" Zuzu then said with a smile before kissing Yuya's cheek. "I sure am!"

Yuya blushes for a second before focusing on the real action as all eight counterparts yelled with excitement, the crowd cheering in joy for the amazing duel they were about to put on for the audience.

"LET'S DUEL!"

"To think it was Zarc's own single choice that would change the course of history and give birth to a brand new universe and as for me I observe all from where I stand knowing I do not, can't and won't interfere for I am Galacta!"

The pink wearing woman said as she lightly tapped an orange crystal she held in her hands as the scene faded to black ending story. Until the next story to tell.

Well that wraps up the very first What If? Chapter have to say it went pretty well since this will be my final story until the new year so many new things to write when it happens it's a shame Arc V never did this near it's ending but hey at least we have fanfic writers all around the world to do that for us anyway in the next chapter of my What if Mini series will be What If...Mario was a Starlord?
