Notes=in my fics Shinichi and Kaito are not related. Will put related in all capes if they are. In this fic...they are not related. the 2 meet when Kaito came with Nakamouri-Keibu on a heist/case where a killer is after him as Kid and knows his identity. Shinkai couple. Kaito also told Aoko and Nakamouri-Keibu by then and Shinichi told the Mauris about Conan and got his full grown body back. In a lot of my fics Toichi also dies. but will put that in capes if it changes too.
Chapter 1
Kaito P.O.V
I was quite as Keibu read threat. I saw it. The killer knew my identity wanted me dead and apparently tried to kill Jii to get to me. Aoko clenched my wrist worried and not wanting me to run off alone anywhere. "I'm just going to get some coffee." I said softly. "Take Kudo-kun with you." she said softly. "The killer put in that he knew who you were as a civilian." she whispered. "Yeah. It can only be one person that I know of." I said. I had told her and Keibu of one of Oaji's students who killed several students and took off before Oaji could call the cops or anything. "You think its Hiroku" said Aoko. She had met him 3 times and that was it when we were kids. Her dad had been questioning him on the deaths of the students then. "Most likely." I said. "He moved back to Japan last year."
I found Shinichi who was the detective on the case. "Am getting coffee. Come on." I said. He followed quitely. "Keibu wanted me to gaurd you. Want to tell me anything." he asked. "I knew the suspect. He was a student of my old mans before Oaji passed away." We grabbed our coffee and I put my usual 3 sugar packets in my cup. "You're Kuroba Toichi's son right?" said Shinichi.
"Last I checked and your the newly returned Kudo Shinichi." I answered. "Apparently Keibu is worried about you for some reason. I need to know why." Shinichi said. "Training didn't turn out well so could you fill me in."
"He killed a room full of training magicians when I was 4. Was training myself under Oaji. I walked in on it and he was about to..." I shuddered. It was why I couldn't stand those fi...fi...nny monstrosities. We were having sushi that night and all I saw was scales fins, and blood...lots of..."Breath...breath...in...and out." he said. I did as instructed. "You were having a panic attack. I take it you have a phobia?"
"Yeah. I am afraid of aquatic mammals." I answered. "Anyways I walked in and saw a lot of blood, scales and dead students. We were having sushi that night for dinner. Mom wanted to make a surprise dinner then and I used to love sushi."
"And to think you canceled heists at aquariums it wasn't just on a whim." said Shinichi. "Don't worry. I don't plan to tell anyone. I adore your magic as a magician and love chaseing you." I smiled. "Thanks Shinichi." I answered.
Normal P.O.V
Aoko watched through the doorway with Hakuba. Hakuba knew Kaito's secret with the 2 Nakamouris. "Adorable." she said softly. "Will he..." Hakuba began. "Saguru if you love me...please let Bakaito find someone that cares for him too. As your girlfriend I am asking you to do this for me. Kaito is my childhood friend and like a brother to me. He isn't going to find another detective like you or Shinichi. You're a brother to him but Shinichi...means the world to him."she said. "Fine but if Kudo hurts him I will make his death look accidental." muttered Hakuba and the 2 left.
