Twist Does Better

Still in Canterlot, the five ponies were talking about each other's lives. "So, kid," Princess Luna said to Twist, "What's going on with you?" "Want to know why we are friends?" Apple Bloom asked.

"Well," Twist began, "It was recently. Since I got my cutie mark, I've been hanging out with my friend Apple Bloom less and less." "Oh, I see," Princess Luna replied, thus looking at her own cutie mark.

"It was because of some brat mule," Scootaloo said, "Bragging on how ponies with cutie marks makes them superior than ponies without them." "And we're trying to earn our cutie marks," Apple Bloom added.

"That's why you're the cutie mark crusaders," Princess Luna said, "I've heard all about it." "Yeah," Sweetie Belle agreed. "To tell you the truth," Princess Luna said, "I've learned my lesson about cutie marks from long ago. It's a long story."

"And you tried to take over the world with nighttime," Scootaloo muttered. There was a moment of silence. "Well," Twist said, "After some time now, I was thinking about continuing to be friends with Apple Bloom, but I've rarely found the time. Well, I found this time."

"And it worked out fine," Apple Bloom said, "So that's why you've decided to tag along with us this trip." "That's true," Twist agreed. "Oh, and also," Apple Bloom, added, "Applejack doesn't trust me with selling apples. Because of the cutie mark mishap."

"I understand," Princess Luna said with sympathy, "Well, Twist, I'm glad that you've amended your friendship with Apple Bloom." "And not be influenced by the likes of Diamond Tiara," Scootaloo said.

"Well, that is true," Sweetie Belle agreed, "But colts can't help that." "What the hay heck?!" Scootaloo exclaimed. Every pony was surprised at what Scootaloo had said.

"Well," Princess Luna said, "We do have our own kind of ponies with the same attitude." "Jumped to far ahead?" Scootaloo said. "This is fun to talk about," Twist said, "I'm happy to come with you on this trip. I don't regret this at all. I've always understood."

"Twist," Princess Luna said, "I'm proud of you." "We all are," Apple Bloom agreed. "But now," Princess Luna thought, "I'm starting to question the existence of cutie marks. But then, I'm not really sure about that."

"Now something is on the princess' mind," Scootaloo said. "True with that," Apple Bloom agreed. "So, what's going on?" Twist asked.
