Buck and Tommy knew they wanted to marry each other but after the conversation that derailed their relationship - it took them a while to find their way back to one another after that fiasco - both were terrified to propose. Unbeknownst to each other, they had picked out engagement rings at the jewelry store but neither of them had made a move yet. They were utterly terrified of rejection. Unfortunately, this was driving their family up the wall. "Buck, come on. We both know you're ready to take the next step. So is Tommy. So fucking ask him to marry you already," Eddie tried.

Paralyzed by fear, Buck shook his head. "What if he says no and we break up again? I can't deal with that, Eddie."

Edide rolled his eyes, a plan already starting to formulate in his head. He knew the others would be on board and he could easily rope them into his idea to propose for them because they were all ready to snap.

He put his plan into action later that night, as the group gathered at Bobby and Athena's for a family dinner. "You better not tank this," Athena hissed at him as she came inside to grab some hot dog buns.

"I am not about to fuck this up," Eddie shot back with a laugh, although nerves were getting the best of him for some reason. He wasn't the one who was about to ask the person he loved to marry him, he was just doing it on behalf of his two idiot friends.

"Good luck. Proposing for someone else is easier than you think," Bobby reassured him as he walked out of the house and stepped into the yard.

Tommy shot Eddie an inquisitive look when he rejoined them. "What's going on? You look off. Everything okay?"

Now sweating bullets, Eddie tried to nod. "Of course it is!"

Tommy side eyed the hell out of him for that response, clearly not buying it. "Okay then." Confused, he returned to Buck's side, kissing his boyfriend.

"Can you relax?" a laughing Athena asked him.

"No, I cannot. You will not believe how stressful this is." Eddie shrugged when she shot him an unimpressed look.

Maddie, who was eating some chips and dip, caught the look on Eddie's face, and rushed over to Buck and Eddie's side. She whipped her phone out, much to their confusion. "What are you doing?" Buck asked his sister.

"Nothing you need to worry about," she lied.

Eddie blew out a breath, knowing it was time. "Get down on one knee!" he ordered Buck and Tommy.

They stared at him. "The fuck?" Tommy responded.

"Why?" questioned a bewildered Buck.

"Just do it, no questions asked." Maddie stared them down, tapping her foot impatiently, until they did as asked and both got down on one knee.

"What the hell is going on, Evan?" Tommy knew what this looked like but it couldn't be.

"Fuck if I know." He couldn't bear to say it out loud in case he was wrong.

Eddie finally caught up to them just as Bobby handed over both engagement rings that had previously been hidden. He got down on one knee. "I'm tired of waiting for you two to get your heads out of your asses. You're both head over heels in love with one another. I know you both want to spend the rest of your lives together. So what do you say, will you marry each other?" He beamed at them, handing over the engagement rings to their owners.

A now tearful Tommy and Buck couldn't stop weeping. "I love you," Buck mouthed at him.

"I love you too," Tommy mouthed back.

Buck opened his ring box first, Tommy following suit within seconds. "Marry me?" they asked in unison.
Laughing, they slid the rings up their fingers and sealed their engagement with a kiss. "Fucking finally!" Eddie yelled as the others started whistling and clapping.

"Thank you." The three of them hugged each other for a few minutes before pulling apart so Buck and Tommy could celebrate with the others.

It would have taken them both much longer to get to this point on their own so they were thankful Eddie had taken matters into his own hands. Buck rewarded him by naming Eddie as his best man when he and Tommy married just months later.
