Happy New Year to everyone!
I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while as I have been busy with work and other stuff. However, I felt you were owed an update.
I'm sorry to say this but I am cancelling XYZ Angel.
Between my other stories and this one it's taken too much just to update every now and then. I realize now that it was a stupid idea to start multiple stories when I was already struggling to write one. After deliberating over them for a while, I decided I would cancel this one and several others.
There are several reasons I am cancelling XYZ Angel.
The first is that I am not that good at writing duels. I can't remember the effects of each card or the ways they can be used. And I find it incredibly difficult to balance out the strategy and action.
The second is that the plot in general would take too long for me to write with my current stories and my personal life.
Related to the second is that when I finish up my fanfics I hope to one day write actual novels that people can enjoy.
XYZ Angel is a story I really like. Yuzu and Yuto are my favourite characters and ship from Arc V that were truly wasted. I was hoping to explore a lot of different avenues I wish had been explored in the canon along with many character interactions and deconstructions. Which is why I'm sorry to be finishing it this way.
However, it's not over yet. While I am not above discontinuing stories, I hate just leaving readers like you thinking what could have been. Which why I will be writing summaries of the different arcs and characters I originally had planned just so you aren't left hanging.
It's been five years since I posted this fic on New Year's and I'm sorry that it ends this way.
