"Drac, no!"
Ericka's pleas fell deaf upon Dracula's ears, and he continued his way toward the tumbling waves of the ocean, his wife cradled in his arms bridal style. Knee-high in the water, he began to loosen his grip, a snarky smile playing on his lips.
"You can swim, love," he said. And with that, the Count heaved her from his arms and tossed her into the water, the sound of her scream swallowed by the salty ocean water as she landed with a greatSPLASH.
The water was warm, but even so, the wind chilled her skin as she arose from it, shivering and with droplets hanging to her lashes. She frowned and wrapped her arms around herself, scoffing at the sight of her husband staring back at her with a snicker.
"Drac!" She splashed water at him in retaliation, but he misted from the spot and appeared just behind her. Ericka tried again, splashing behind her, but he did it again, and misted back to another side of her. Ericka scoffed in frustration, giving up and storming out of the water altogether, Drac laughing.
"Come on, honeybat, don't be upset!" he called out after her.
She turned around to look at him. "Sorry, but I am. I told you no, and you did it anyway! Now you've ruined the day!"
"But Erickaaa…"
She ignored him and seated herself at their towel, drying off as best she could. Dracula took a seat next to her and put an arm around her shoulder, despite her reluctance at his touch. He stifled a chuckle at her reaction. It always amused him to see how sometimes his wife would act like a pouty child. Thankfully, he knew just how to set her back in the right mood.
"Ericka…" he began, her name a light, teasing coo from his lips. "Nothingcould ruin this day," he chuckled, holding her against him. "Not when I haveyouby my side…" With a tug, he pulled her hips flush with his and began to walk his fingers up her side. The sensation was ticklish, but Ericka refused to give in. Noting this, Drac took it a step further, and began to trail soft, almost feather-light kisses along the crook of her neck. He felt her begin to tremble under him, but still she offered no signs of yielding. Ericka tried to keep a straight face as he continued, but ultimately gave up, falling for the irresistible charm of her vampire.
"Draaac…" she complained as he landed a particularly sensitive kiss on the tender spot behind her ear. She giggled and turned to cup his cheeks, holding his head still as she looked him in the eyes. "Howcan I stay mad at you?"
With a snicker, Drac closed the gap between them, kissing her deeply before whispering into her ear. "Because I'm your husband." A devilish grin lit up his features at her slight blush. With a chuckle, Ericka rolled her eyes affectionately, unable to hide her glee as she ran a finger down the length of his chest.
"That you are, my love."
He leaned down for another kiss, which she happily accepted, enjoying the feel of lips on lips again. It truly was perfect, as Dracula saw it. His wife, their vacation, and the beautiful lush landscape of the Hawaiian islands - the perfect getaway to be at while the hotel was being rebuilt.
