Steven had moved out of the temple, and he is now living in his new house in Farm Town, Okluchokie. Steven had awakened, surrounded by Bismuth, Peridot, Lapis, Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Greg."Why are all you guys here?" asked Steven. "We were going to surprise you by installing a warp on your deck so you can relax on the beach in Beach City, or come for visits and whatever, I came to tell you good night, and I seen Rose head toward the new warp! It was as if you two were fused and she unfused!"said Bismuth.
"That can't be possible. I must be dreaming." said Steven. Amethyst pinched steven. "Ouch, Amethyst! What did you that for?" said Steven. "To prove that you aren't dreaming." said Amethyst. "Are you sure you weren't dreaming?" said Garnet. The ground started to shake. Steven started to glow and slightly floated in the air, as his gem came outfrom his chest, his mother reforming.
Steven started to pass out, but Lapis saved him before he fell and got injured. "Rose? Is that really you?" said Greg. "No... It... It can't be!" said Garnet. Rose reformed, looking very embarrassed. "You weren't supposed to see this...," said Rose. "Oh, Rose! Why have you deserted us for so long, hiding in Steven's belly, when you just could've stayed? Why did you hide from us?" said Pearl, emotionally. Pearl started to cry. "Umm- Uh- I can explain?" said Rose. "Explain what, Rose? That you lied to us?' said Bismuth. "No- it's not that...," said Rose. "Then what is it?" said Garnet. "I feared the other diamonds! Got it?" said Rose.
"I thought you were a leader...," said Garnet. Garnet unfused. Ruby and Sapphire cried and started to corrupt. "Why did she lie to us like that!?" said Sapphire. "She is a monster!" said Ruby. "Me?" said Rose. Ruby and Sapphire looked down. Ruby and sapphire were corrupting faster than ever, taking partial form of fire and ice monsters. "I may not know of anything or anyone in my new form, but know I will always love you, Sapphire!" "I love you too Ruby! Always and forever!" said Sapphire.
In their semi-corrupted forms, Ruby and Sapphire fused into Garnet, and said, "Don't come back for us if you know what's safe." They unfused and ran out the door into the nearby corn fields, as the other gems watched them fully corrupt. "No! I can't let you do this to them!" said Lapis. Rose and Lapis force fused forming Charoite. "She will suffer in the sea until she knows the pain she has caused." said Charoite, "You were supposed to be in the mirror!" The fusion started fighting with itself and then flew away to the ocean.
