Chapter 4: Lots of Games
After playing their beanbag game, the kids, dinos, and Snoopy tossed the beanbags into the Game Machine. "That was a really fun game! Now, how about a game where we go under numbers?" Barney suggested. "Jason, Schroeder, let's get ready in the classroom."
"Under numbers? What do you think it could mean?" BJ asked.
"What do you think, blockdino?" Lucy shot back. The kids, dinos, and beagle then went back inside to find that Barney, Schroeder, and Jason had set up Number Limbo.
"Oh goody! I love this game!" Lila squealed happily.
"Is this where we go under numbers, Barney?" Kristen asked.
"Yes. And it's as simple as 1-2-3!" Barney giggled. "But first, let's get ready by jumping up and wiggling our arms and head!"
Barney did just that and the others happily followed. "This is a fun workout!" Peppermint Patty smiled.
"Good! You're getting warmed up!" Barney smiled. "Now, let's bend forward..." the kids, dinos, and Snoopy did just that. "...and backward!"
"Whoo!" Lucy panted. "I haven't stretched that much since our Exercise Circus."
"Well, now that we're warmed up, let's limbo!" Barney smiled.
"All right everybody, how can you go?" Sally asked with a smile as everyone stood in line while Barney, Schroeder, and Jason took care of the limbo bar.

Everyone went under then
Now we move it lower to number 4
So you can start to limbo again

Everyone went under then
So we can't go under another number
Till we number limbo again
"Hey Barney, wanna number limbo with us?" asked Min.
"Well, thanks, Min; but I think I'm a little too big. I'd need a JUMBO limbo bar!" Barney joked.
"Oh Barney!" Baby Bop giggled.
"Maybe we can put these numbers in the game machine and see if it's ready now." Lila smiled.
The kids, dinosaurs, and beagle went outside and back to Barney's Game Machine. "Here go the numbers!" Sally smiled. "1, 2, 3, 4, and 5!"
"Is it time to turn the crank again?" Min asked.
"Give it a spin!" Barney smiled as Lucy did just that.
Barney:
The Game Machine will make us cheer
when it's fun and games appear.
Turn the crank and soon we'll play
lots of games throughout the day
The Game Machine sputtered a rainbow as Lucy turned the crank. "It almost worked that time." Jason said.
"But what are we doing wrong?" Charlie Brown asked.
"Oh! Maybe the Game Machine will work if we all say the rhyme together this time!" Barney happily realized.
"It's worth a try!" Heather smiled as everyone got into a line to help Lucy with the crank.
"OK! Ready!" Lucy smiled.
Barney, Baby Bop, BJ, Barney's Friends, and Peanuts Gang:
The Game Machine will make us cheer
when it's fun and games appear!
Turn the crank and soon we'll play
lots of games throughout the day!
Finally, the game machine magically transformed the playground into a huge game board.
"Wow! It worked! The Game Machine actually worked!" Lila happily squealed.
"Yeah, the playground has turned into a huge game board!" Charlie Brown smiled.
"And here's a big wheel! How does it all work, Barney?" Jesse asked.
"Well, we spin the wheel to know how many spaces we can move on the game board." Barney explained. "BJ, why don't you spin first?"
"OK!" BJ smiled, giving the wheel a spin before it stopped at the number 2. "It stopped at the number 2!"
"Now what, Barney?" Linus asked.
"Now, we move two spaces. Jason, Linus, Schroeder, why don't you go first?" Barney asked.
Both boys nodded as Linus was the first to move. "One…" Linus counted.
"Two!" Jason and Schroeder smiled as they both hopped on the same space.
"Hey, it's a space with numbers!" Schroeder gasped.
"Like the ones we threw into the game machine." Kristen giggled.
Suddenly, numbers appeared everywhere on the gameboard.
"Oooooooooooh!" Snoopy and Woodstock gasped in awe.
"Numbers everywhere!" BJ gasped.
"And they're SOOOOOOOOO BIG!" Sally added.
Barney:
A carnival of numbers is coming today
It's so much fun, it kinda makes me want to say

Yes, numbers can be fun, no matter where or when

After their carnival of numbers, the kids, dinosaurs, and Snoopy got back to playing the game. "Linus, why don't you spin the wheel this time and Min, Heather, and Lucy can count out the spaces." Barney suggested.
Linus spun the wheel as it landed on the number 4.
"Now go four spaces, girls." BJ laughed.
"One..." Min stepped on a piece with hats on it.
"Two..." Lucy jumped on a hopscotch piece.
"Three..." Heather danced on the next piece, with bottles on it.
"FOUR!" the three all stepped on a piece with a tape recorder.
"That space has a tape recorder on it." Jesse pointed out the obvious.
"Of course it does, you blockhead!" Lucy shouted before breathing deep. "Sorry, instincts, you know?"
Suddenly, the tape recorder came to life.
"LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THAT THING!" Linus gasped.
"It's so big." Marcie gasped.
"It is." Barney confirmed.
"Does it work?" Lucy went to touch it.
"Icky wicky bicky boo, frimma framma flamma foo..."
"YIKES!" she ran behind Barney.
"Lucy, don't be scared. That's me." Baby Bop giggled. "That's me talking."
"It sure is, Baby Bop." Barney confirmed.
"And you make GREAT silly sounds, Baby Boppity Bop!" Peppermint Patty cheered.
