Two lonely bats crashed in the night
They had a zing, a love at first sight
They knew right away they'd be husband and wife
And that zings only happen but once in your life
The family settled, a baby was born
But tragedy struck and the family torn
The mother was gone, the husband alone
With only a daughter to raise as his own
Yet through the pain that seized his soul,
He promised the wife to heed to his goal,
To keep their young one safe and sound,
In a haven devoid of humans around
And so with pride that made his heart swell,
He opened up his prized hotel,
It did its job and kept them alive,
And through it all he saw it thrive
But life in turn went unexpected,
And soon his outlook was affected,
For through a wild red-head youth,
He went to discover the hidden truth
That humans and monsters could now live as one,
And years of hatred were finally done,
…Or so it was thought, for as it turned out,
There was still one with desires to bout
How fate worked in the strangest way,
To bring the lone Count to the cruise that day,
For he was blessed with a zing anew,
And felt that love that was so pure and true
Who was this woman to stir such infatuation,
On a trip that was meant as a mere family vacation?
None other than Ericka, Captain of the ship,
Who had other plans for this monstrous trip
He too was her goal, but not at all for a cuddle,
With a plan up her sleeve, he was in for some trouble,
She wanted him near to stake or to maim,
And uphold her Van Helsing family name
But little by little, she found as she tried,
That her great-grandfather's truths were nothing but lies,
The man was no monster, he had emotion,
And to his family an undying devotion
So when the time came for the final defeat,
She found that she couldn't just watch him be beat,
For her was her zing, and to kill him was wrong,
Together for always was where they belonged
And with the events of the cruise that transpired,
The Count and his lady had a lesson acquired,
That they should cherish the wonderful thing,
That all of the monsters knew as the Zing
