Title: I Choose Us
Chapter 5
(Michaela and Jared decided that, even though it was spur of the moment, they didn't want to waste any more time. They didn't care that it was with the justice of the peace. They wanted to get married and finally have it official)
(While at Ben and Grace's house, the happily married couple wanted to decorate the place a bit. Ben and Jared were in the living room finishing a few things)
Jared: (smiles) "Thank you for doing this, both you and Grace. You didn't have to do it."
Ben: (chuckles) "Are you kidding? This is our way of saying thank you for having the wedding here. We were a bit surprised that you two didn't want a bigger wedding in a church."
Jared: (shrugs) "Mick and I agreed that we waited long enough, considering everything that's happened during our relationship. Grace will be her maid of honor and I'm hoping you'll be my best man."
(Ben pats Jared on the back and chuckles)
Ben: "Anytime. For what it's worth, I always believed that you and my sister were meant to be. I'm glad you're making it official."
(Meanwhile, Grace and Michaela are in the kitchen getting the food and some decorations ready)
Grace: "I can't believe that you and Jared are finally making it official after all this time. I admit I thought it was going to be with Zeke."
Michaela: (nods) "So did I at first. In the end, I realized where my heart belonged. By the way, thank you for having the wedding here. I have a wedding dress ready."
Grace: (nods & smiles) "Welcome." (puzzled) "Are you talking about the one you were going to wear during your wedding to Zeke?"
(Michaela chuckles as she shakes her head)
Michaela: "Oh no. I managed to find one that I liked and it fit."
*Hours Later*
(All the important family members and friends were seated. After the vows were said and the rings were exchanged, Jared smiles happily at his soon to be bride)
Jared: "I do."
Michaela: (grins) "I do, too."
(After they were pronounced husband and wife, the married couple exchanged a passionate kiss. They broke free and Jared held Michaela in his arms)
Jared: "We finally did it."
Michaela: "We did. Took us long enough to get here."
Jared: "We got it right. That's all that matters."
(They kissed once more before celebrating with the rest of the family)
