Hello all and happy New Year! Here's Gordon and Caitlins first kiss! Enjoy!

New Years Eve, 2016

It was another New Years Eve on the island of Sodor. The engines had all gathered as Knapford station as the hours and minutes ticked closer and closer to midnight. Gordon and Caitlin stood by the platform, as Henry and Emily stood adjacent them. They knew Gordon had an affinity for the President P-7 that sat in front of him despite her high strung nature and his arrogance and lack of patience.

The crews sat nearby taking bets on who would kiss who first, because like their engines, they knew Gordon and Caitlin would definitely kiss for the first time tonight.

Gordon's driver knew it all too well. Gordon had recently saved Caitlin's life. He could see the heart his engine had for the fair American maiden.

Caitlin and Gordon sat at the station platform telling tales of each others homelands. Gordon, having been built on the LNER and spending a majority of his life there had many tales to regale his princess with.

The moment grew ever so closer. Minute by minute Caitlin grew nervous but excited as could be. She had always wanted to give this gift to Gordon. Soon the final countdown began.

"15...14...13...12..."

"Gordon, there has always been something I've wanted to give you." Caitlin stated nervously.

"11...10...9...8..."

"Oh, what is it my love?" Gordon answered. He was excited as 2017 grew closer rapidly.

"7...6...5...4...3...2...1..."

"This." Caitlin responded before her lips collided with Gordons in a lip lock for the very first time of many to come.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

Caitlins' lips moved sweetly with Gordons' as the church rang its bells loudly signaling the arrival of another year to the island.

Meanwhile nearby, a large stack of money was being pushed towards Caitlins' fireman. She had bet Caitlin would make the first move, and correct she was.

The festivities continued until it was nearly daylight. All were ready to take on the new year in stride. And with that, the 2016 season came to an end.
