Chapter Eight: The Party Begins

The Lion Guard, the baboon siblings' friends' family, and the Baboon Leader's troop had all gathered around the baboon siblings' tree. The branches were bustling with chatter and laughter as everyone prepared for the special celebration.

Kion: "Now that everyone is here, we just need to wait for Amara and Bakari." He stood in the center, his leadership evident as he addressed the group.

Just then, Bongo, Bobo, and Asha arrived at the tree, their eyes wide with amazement at the sight before them.

Bongo: "Wow. So many baboons are here." He said, looking around.

Bobo: "Hey, look. It's Zahara's family," Bobo pointed out, spotting their friends among the crowd.

Zahara: *baby voice* "Zahara!" Her face lit up as she called.

Hearing her name, Zahara turned around, as did her brothers, Kamari and Razi.

Zahara: "Asha!" She exclaimed, running over to give her best friend a big hug.

Bobo: "Hi, Kamari." He waved.

Bongo: "Hi, Razi." He smiled.

Kamari: "Hi, Bobo." He grinned back.

Razi: "Hey, Bongo." He added with a nod.

Zahara giggled shyly, glancing at Bongo.

Zahara: "Hehe. Hi, Bongo. Mwwwwah." She said, giving him a playful kiss on the cheek.

Bongo: "Hehe. Hi, Zahara." He blushed.

Kamari and Razi immediately seized the opportunity to tease their sister.

Kamari: "Zahara and Bongo sitting in a tree." He began.

Razi: "K-I-S-S-I-N-G." He finished, smirking.

Zahara: "Kamari, Razi, stop it! You're embarrassing me!" She exclaimed, her cheeks flushing deeper.

Kamari: "Oh, come on. We're just messing with you." He said, grinning mischievously.

Razi: "Yeah. Can't you take a joke?" He added, laughing.

Bongo: "Heh." He chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his neck as Zahara tried to hide her blushing face.

Just then, the royal family arrived, drawing everyone's attention.

Simba: "Huh. We're not the only ones invited." He looked around, his brow raised slightly.

Nala: "Wow. There's a lot of baboons for this party." She surveyed the crowd with a smile.

Zuri: "Kiara, when you told us we were going to a party, you didn't tell us it was going to be filled with baboons." She looked at the gathering and commented.

Kiara: "It's not just any kind of party. It's an anniversary party." She rolled her eyes playfully.

Tiifu: "An anniversary party? Whose anniversary is it?" She asked curiously.

Kiara: "It's Bongo's parents' anniversary." She explained with a grin.

Zuri: "Bongo? Isn't he Fuli's baboon friend?" She asked.

Kiara: "Uh-huh." She confirmed.

Tiifu: "Okay. I guess we could stick around." She shrugged.

Zuri: "Yeah." She agreed casually.

Kion: "Mom, Dad. You made it." He approached his parents with a smile.

Simba: "Of course we did. This is a very special occasion." He nodded.

Nala: "We're here to celebrate the day of Amara and Bakari's first day of falling in love." She added warmly.

Zuri: "Blech. Remind me to never fall in love." She muttered, unimpressed.

Tiifu: "Yeah. Ew. Gross." She echoed.

Kiara shook her head at her friends, her smile showing her amusement at their reaction.

Bunga: "Hey, Simba. Er—I mean, Your Royal Highness." He bounded over, addressing Simba.

Fuli: "Welcome to the party, Your Majesties." She said, dipping her head respectfully.

Beshte: "It's great to have you here." He added.

Ono: "Thanks for coming, Your Majesties," He said, bowing slightly.

Simba: "Of course, Ono." He gave a small nod.

Nearby, Amina called to her children.

Amina: "Kids, kids. The king and queen are here." She nudged her children.

Asani: "Show your respect to them." He added firmly.

Kamari, Razi, and Zahara immediately bowed their heads, followed by Bongo, Bobo, and Asha.

Bongo: "Thanks for coming, Your Majesty." He said sincerely.

Simba: "Anything for you and your family." He replied warmly.

Bobo: "Now we just need to wait for Mom and Dad." He glanced around.

Asha: *baby voice* "And then we can sing our song." She said, her excitement bubbling over.

As the party continued, laughter and chatter filled the tree, the anticipation for the arrival of Amara and Bakari growing with every moment.
