The drive was a blur in his memories. The only thing he could recall was the interior of his lover's car. It was old, well used and laced with the man's vibe. It felt safe regardless of how the older Shigaraki would have lectured him to high heavens. It was a short drive, quiet if he remembered correctly, save for the small talk one usually began with strangers.
He remembered leaning against the cold metal railing, looking out over the city landscape littered with specs of light. Despite having seen it before, it felt new. It felt as disconnected from his normal as the rest of the night had been. A new reality, as temporary as it was. A moment in time when nothing else mattered.
"It's beautiful," he whispered.
"I like to come up here to clear my head," the man said, pulling his hands from his pockets and mimicking Yoichi's stance. "It helps looking at the bigger picture."
He hummed, turning from the view to watch it reflect in the man's eyes instead. He couldn't help but smile as he laid his head down against his crossed arms. "I know what you mean. You don't realize things when you're in the thick of it."
"Is that why you snuck out?" He asked, tracing the city's patterns.
"I don't know what I believe anymore, what I think about anything. I know my brother loves me but…"
"He's suffocating," he finished for him.
"There's that," He shifted, resting his chin instead as he returned to the view. "But there's something...off. How he speaks about certain things, how he acts. It feels like ever since he's taken over as the head that the atmosphere has shifted. I thought I was just being paranoid."
"I don't think so," He spoke before Yoichi could fully finish his thought.
"How come?" Yoichi stood tall again, peering at him in curiosity.
"The way that woman acted was...weird. I don't know many devout Christians who wander around at three am with a stick up their ass."
"Yeah…" He nodded, the concept putting him on edge as he looked away. The feeling he'd had lingering for months only grew. He'd never been able to place what the feeling was, just that it wasn't a pleasant one. "That struck me as weird too."
There was a moment of silence before the man spoke up, "what's your phone number?"
"Don't have one." Yoichi could feel the man's stare.
"...Not allowed?"
"Nope."
"That's a pain in the ass," He grumbled, making Yoichi laugh.
"Just a little bit," His demeanor turned melancholy as he reached over. The touch began feather light as he slid his hand over the man's, feeling the warmth radiating from him. The other welcomed it, allowing Yoichi to slip his fingers in-between his. His hand was rough, but not uncomfortable. "I don't think I'll get another chance to do this again."
The man pulled back, removing himself from the guard rail and stepping closer. Yoichi wasn't expecting his heart to race so quickly as the distance between them grew smaller. He could feel his warmth wrapping around him again. An intoxicating feeling that he wanted to steal. His brother had always warned him of strangers, telling tales of kidnappers to dissuade him. If this man were to steal him away tonight, he wouldn't fight it.
Yoichi cupped the man's face, his thumb stroking his cheek. Those piercing eyes of his were all he could see. The man took hold of his hips, pulling him closer and closing the distance. The kiss was slow and Yoichi was sure his lack of experience was showing. Something that didn't seem to bother the man as he tightened his grip and leaned further into the kiss. As it deepened it grew more heated, turning the chaste kiss into a lustful makeout session.
Yoichi's hands fell from his face as they escalated and instead took to exploring the man's body. He responded in kind, trailing one of his hands from Yoichi's hips to the zipper of his jacket. He pulled it down before reaching up to pull the jacket off his body.
"Won't we get caught out here?" Yoichi panted as he broke the kiss, feeling the fabric slip from his shoulders.
"It'll be fine," he reassured, hovering close enough for their lips to ghost one another. His fingers slipped under Yoichi's shirt, gripping its hem. "You wanted to live a little, right?"
Yoichi gulped back his nerves, "...yeah."
"Then trust me," He whispered before pulling him back into the kiss.
