Once a vibrant and lively gem, Amazonite was tragically caught in the chaos of the Great Gem War, where she was corrupted and lost her true self for many years. The corruption marred her physical form, leaving her with visible scars and a fractured appearance that serves as a constant reminder of her past. After the Diamonds restored her, Amazonite struggled to reintegrate into Gem society. The memories of her time as a corrupted gem haunt her, leading to her PTSD.

Finding refuge in Pink Diamond's Garden, she developed a close bond with Bloodshot Lolite, who became her girlfriend and a source of strength and comfort. Together, they cultivate the garden, creating a peaceful sanctuary that helps Amazonite cope with her past. Her only friends, Blue Sapphire, Cherry Quartz, and Peach Jasper, support her healing journey, providing companionship and understanding as they all navigate their own experiences and histories. Despite her trauma, Amazonite is committed to rebuilding her life and finding beauty in the world around her.
