This is the third story in a series. I'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how the season 4 finale of the vampire diaries and the Originals line up. So we're starting right at episode 2 House of the rising. Also as a heads up since Alicia & Bonnie are sisters naturally Alicia will dance back and forth between the two shows. ONLY when it makes sense though.
Book 1: Just like magic
Book 2: Dangerous Woman
It was definitely hard, I started summer classes at LSU pretty quickly. In exchange for Klaus allowing me to stay at Tiana's house I had to stay far away from New Orlean's business. By the time September rolled around I was taking a semester off and completely burned out.
My whole summer consisted of covering for Bonnie, school work, and trying to figure out how to bring back Kol. Out of everything helping Bonnie was the most draining part. I'd had to put up two glamorous to video chat with Elena & Caroline. And act like I gave a shit about what they were doing.
It took all of Klaus' restraint not to murder Tiana & I for keeping Marcel's secret. Tiana being a part of the inner circle was especially trouble for Klaus because the girl had unwavering loyalty to Marcel. She wouldn't spill a thing to Klaus and it burned him up.
A loud knock on the door jolting me away from my textbook. I know I said I was taking a semester off and I was a bit ahead of everybody else my age but that doesn't mean I was gonna get lazy.
I walked downstairs and threw the front door open fully expecting for it to be Klaus on the other side. A large grin crept on my cheeks at the sight of his little sister.
"Rebekah." I pulled her into a bear hug, I'd barely spoken to her since she went off to Europe with Matt. She'd put me on the job to find Elijah which I easily did. However at the same time I didn't know.
I knew he was with Davina, I knew he was absolutely okay. But I made Davina promise not to tell me where exactly she was.
"It's nice to see you too, Love." She returned the hug and pulled back looking me over almost as if she was trying to see if I was harmed or not." Please tell me you were able to locate my brother so I don't have to speak to Nik."
"I actually don't know where Elijah is but I know he's okay." I replied, Rebekah scrunched up her face and frowned. It clearly wasn't the answer she was hoping for.
"He's an Original of course he's okay."
"Right." I answered. She rocked back and forth on her heels and stared at me awkwardly for a moment." Right, I should invite you in."
"That would be nice." She hummed in agreement.
"Come in." I took a step to the side and Rebekah walked in, now was when I noticed she had a bit of dried blood on her outfit and in her hair." You should probably freshen up."
She turned and looked at herself in the mirror, with an annoyed sigh she took off her jacket and headed into the kitchen with me following her closely. She rinsed at her hair as if it was more of an annoyance than it was you know blood on her.
"Get dressed, you're coming with me to see Nik." She replied when she'd finally gotten the blood out her hair. I looked down at my pajamas I clearly had zero intention of leaving the house. My freshly dyed hair (now a streaked with honey blond) was in a messy bun. I was in no shape or form presentable.
"Don't make me put clothes on you." Rebekah threatened, the next thing I knew she disappeared from in front of me. I let out an annoyed sigh knowing she was in my room touching things. I took my hair down and shook it out letting it fall down my shoulders in wild looking waves before I followed her to my room.
There was an outfit on my bed while she was in the bathroom, the smell of burnt hair filled the air letting me know she was using my flat iron to fix the awkward looking spots in her wavy hair.
I grabbed the romper and tossed it on before slipping on a pair of sandals. I was a bit annoyed she'd picked out clothes like she fully intended on the two of us going out. And I still was avoiding being seen in the city to appease Klaus.
"Uh Bekah." I said looking over myself in the mirror, I grabbed a brush and tried to make my hair look presentable. She poked her head out the bathroom."You're aware I've been in hiding since I got back right?"
"Well maybe it's time to come out of hiding." She shrugged, I faintly heard the front door open and close before Rebekah flashed off again.
"That explains the expensive car out front." Tiana said moments later. I paused for a second unsure if the two had a reason to dislike each other. Rebekah didn't know I'd chosen Tiana's life over undaggering her, and Rebekah didn't get to take the cure so I think we were okay?
I grabbed Bonnie's bracelet and slipped it onto my wrist. With one last annoyed sigh I went downstairs. The two were weirdly sizing each other up in the middle of the living room. They both whipped around to face me. Tiana looked very uncomfortable.
"We're going out. You gonna be good without me for a bit?" I asked, Tiana did a double take as if me going out was the most shocking thing in the world. " Fix your face before I fix it for you."
"If all it took to get you to leave the house was her I would've called her weeks ago." Tiana replied, she flashed Rebekah a tight smile."Don't let her out your sight, the witches don't really like her."
"That's downplaying it pretty heavy." I commented. I was one of two living harvest girls. I'm only slightly more fortunate than Davina because I need to die after her.
Rebekah headed outside with a bounce in her step. I gave Tiana a look as I went by her she just shook her head. Whatever it was I'm sure she'd fill me in when I got back.
The two of us climbed into Rebekah's car and drove over to where Klaus was staying. It didn't take long and I was actually kind of puzzled he was letting me stay with Tiana when his house appeared to be in a safer spot than hers was.
The two of us walk up the steps without even knocking Rebekah opens up the front door and walks inside. I raise an eyebrow at that which meant no living person owned this house. They should probably do something about that since Hayley was staying here and carrying very precious cargo.
I catch sight of a very familiar brunette coming down the steps armed with a fire poker of all things.
"Who the hell are you?" Hayley asked. She stared at Rebekah before slightly flinching at the sight of me. I wiggled my fingers at her and gave her a very fake smile." Alicia nice to see you again."
"The pleasure is only yours." I flashed her a tight smile right back. Her face dropped while Rebekah let out a laugh.
"Is she the help? My bags are in the car. Get them will you?"
"Hello. Not the maid." Hayley hissed growing annoyed. She put the fire poker down and absentmindedly touched her stomach.
"Right!" Rebekah said finally putting it together." You're that werewolf girl my brother, Klaus knocked up. I was expecting to see some kind of magical baby bump. I guess you aren't showing yet. It's Hayley isn't it?"
"You have your brothers manners." She replied, I strolled away from the two very disinterested in the conversation or being in Hayley's presence. If she wasn't pregnant I'd be dragging her ass up and down bourbon street right now.
I went straight into the kitchen and started pouring myself a drink. In the last few months my very casual drinking had gotten a bit worse. Where one drink was typically enough for me I'd found myself taking a few.
But for a teenage girl like myself whom was coping with multiple deaths and a lack of freedom, while having the weight of the world on her shoulders it didn't really seem that bad.
I grinned happily when I found a bottle of Tequila in the cabinet. I didn't even bother grabbing a cup and wandered back into the living room taking a sip.
"I don't care about Marcel or his rules. Elijah doesn't Welch on deals. What did you do to him?" Rebekah asked she was very worried about her brother and it sucked that my words didn't ease that for her. But Klaus didn't know about Davina and they wouldn't find out about her from me.
"Perhaps he's on a holiday." Klaus shot back I shook my head and took a swig from the bottle." Or taking a long autumn nap upstairs. Go on take a look around. You remember it quite well."
Klaus finally noticed me standing in the doorway and instantly scowled. I just drank a bit more from the bottle before he could even say anything. Without warning he flashed across the room and snatched it from my hands.
"Rude a simple, Alicia put that down might've made me put it down." I replied, he turned away from me to Rebekah knowing it was 100% her doing that I was even outside.
"You are aware she's got the biggest target in New Orleans on her back? She shouldn't be outside wandering around." Klaus chastised. Rebekah blinked like she was lost in a memory.
"She's with me and she's inside your house right now. What could happen to her?" She asked annoyed. Klaus looked from me to her before pulling out his phone wordlessly Klaus starts to leave the room."Where are you going?"
"My nights not over yet, I'm off for another drink with Marcel." Klaus replied he threw his arm over my shoulder."I'll take Alicia with me."
"What happened to caring about her safety?" Rebekah asked her tone was full of aggression.
"Well she's indeed safe here. But with her here Hayley is not. You see the conundrum. Besides her and Marcel are awfully chummy. The little hybrid too."
Without even giving Rebekah a chance to reply Klaus whooshed the two of us away. We came to a stop outside of a bar. I shot him a look, he'd taken away my tequila but taken me to a bar? Lack of sense was showing pretty hard right now.
I followed Klaus into the bar, Marcel sat sipping a drink watching the cute blonde off to the side writing. She seemed to be doing school work actually. I raised an eyebrow wondering why Marcel was even looking at her. I was pretty sure him and T were a thing.
"This is a far cry from last nights party." Klaus finally clocks Marcel staring the blonde down." Ah in pursuit of the bartender from Rousseau's I see."
"She's a work in progress." He answered shameless. He must not have realized I was there cause when he turned a bit more his eyes widened and his voice immediately lowered."She should not be here."
"Relax, my darling sister got her all dressed up for a night on the town and I figured if she should go out. Who better protection than I?" Klaus replied it would've sounded completely noble if I didn't know Klaus.
"The coroner called, he's got my number in case any dead tourists show up." Marcel replied swiftly changing the subject. I wasn't too interested in what they had to talk about so I made my way over to the bartender.
"Hello." I smiled taking a seat in front of her she jumped out her skin and slammed her book shut.
"You look like you should absolutely not be in here." She replied forcing a smile." Do you need directions? Or something?"
"Actually my bestfriends brother over there." I made sure to point right at Klaus and Marcel." Decided I should get out, I started school a semester early and burned myself out pretty badly."
"Morning classes?" She asked with a knowing look. I let out a snort.
"Most of my classes are online but my in person ones are very much morning classes."
"We all make that mistake in the beginning, I'm getting my undergrad in Psychology what about you?" She asked. I raised an eyebrow impressed, if she was still in school she wasn't too much older than I was. She'd had to be mid 20's at the oldest.
"Animal Sciences, I've always found myself very drawn to animals." I answered, I heard Klaus let out a chuckle so I flipped my middle finger up behind my head." I'm Alicia."
"Cami." She held out her hand which I happily shook." I have to go, but I'm sure I'll see you around." She stood up and walked off only to be intercepted by Klaus. I faintly heard him trying to play wingman for Marcel which Cami shot down. I strolled back over to the two and grabbed Marcel's glass and shamelessly finished his drink.
"That is such a nasty habit." Marcel scrunched up his face as the three of us headed out." I can't get sick but you can."
"I only do it with select people. It means I trust you have a clean mouth." I replied with a shrug, I also could be a fucking weirdo.
"That just isn't okay. I don't wanna take her to handle business can we just drop her at home?" Marcel asked, Klaus looked between the two of us and finally nodded. I needed to get up early to go onto campus to meet with my
RA anyway.
Klaus took my arm and flashed me away with Marcel following closely. They stopped at my front door since neither was invited in.
"Thanks for the booze?" I was unsure of what to tell Klaus. I was more confused than anything. I had no idea what his intentions on having me out in the open was.
"Anything for my favorite witch." Klaus purred, I shifted from side to side. Klaus wasn't affectionate with me; it was a lot more to this than he was telling me. Marcel gave me a nod and the two of them flashed away. I shook my head and walked inside my house. The first thing I had to do was check Bonnie's phone. I know it was blowing up with bullshit since school started today.
Have you heard from Stefan? - Elena
Can't wait for you to get back from NOLA - Elena
Okay so do you want pink sheets or pink with white sheets? -Caroline
Bonnie had unfortunately kept me in the loop. Elena picked Damon & Stefan left town. Which is 100% understandable why would I want to stay here to watch my sibling date somebody I was madly in love with?
Since they were still sending texts I can assume Bonnie hasn't had Jeremy break the news yet. I had zero intention on doing it since them knowing Bonnie died the day before graduation doesn't help me. With literally any goddamn thing.
It was also pretty awkward going from Bonnie's phone to mine. The amount of love my sister received from them while I was 100% exiled from the group. I'd heard from Caroline sparingly and nothing from Elena or Damon.
It actually pissed me off that I found out Katherine took the cure via Jeremy. And he accidentally told me. He & I rotated weeks where Bonnie's ghost visited. It was very divorced parent style where she'd be with one of us two weeks and we'd only talk through her. This was where the idea of the Bonnie glamor came from. I almost stormed back to Mystic Falls to beat Elena's ass myself. Freshly resurrected and the first thing you do is give Katherine the cure?
Stupid bitch.
I took a shower and changed into some pajamas. Tiana left a grimoire sitting on my bed. It definitely belonged to a different coven. The style was different. Tiana along with Bonnie were aiding me on my quest to find away to get her & Kol back. Bonnie "found grimores" and Tiana "really found them". I popped open the cover and looked at the first page "Property of the Park family."
"The Parks huh? Hope you guys have brought back the deceased without any consequences." I mumbled out loud to myself.
The next thing I knew my alarm was going off, I jumped out of bed and started getting dressed. I threw on my one of my classic VS sweatsuits and a pair of sneakers. Tiana was already downstairs sitting on the couch ready to go twirling my keys.
"Let me tell you about the drama that unfolded while you were sleeping." Tiana said as the two of us climbed into my car. I was beyond thankful Klaus handled maintenance on this thing because a teenage girl taking a 2011 C300 with a custom paint job to the mechanic is going to get me scammed like crazy.
"What?"
"So a couple more night walkers went missing and this is after an alleged werewolf sighting in the Quarter." She explained, I rolled my eyes I had a hunch the werewolf was Hayley's dumbass. Why she would go into the Quarter was beyond me.
"Probably Hayley's stupid ass."
"I'm pretty sure it was and either Klaus or Rebekah killed the nightwalkers to protect her." Tiana replied. If we both had the same hunch it was probably true." I don't have proof so I'm not going to even bring it up to Marcel. Marcel took Rebekah to meet Davina."
"What? Why would he do that? I don't even know where Davina is." I was beyond shocked he would do that. It was reckless especially since she literally had Elijah in a box with her.
"D tossed her all over the place and wiped her memory it's fine." Tiana shrugged it off. I shook my head she clearly didn't know Rebekah as well as I did.
"She's going to figure it out, she may be blonde but she is very resourceful." I said shaking my head." What do we do?"
"You do nothing. Stay away from Davina the last thing we need is for the two of you to get caught by the witches." Tiana ordered. I rolled my eyes and sighed. We'd spent the bulk of the drive exchanging gossip.
When we arrived on campus Tiana did what she usually did, went and laid out on the lawn waiting for random dudes to come flirt with her. It didn't matter what time of day it was she'd do it.
I went straight to find my Academic Advisor he was doing me a solid by letting me come up here this early. I knocked on his office door and entered at the very faint come on.
I stopped in my tracks at the sight of a much younger person than I was expecting. Gorgeous blue eyes stared into my hazel eyes. I blinked confused about the fact I wasn't looking at a 40 year old man right now.
"Uh? Where is Mr Brad?" I asked, the boy looked around as if he'd been caught." Who ever are you?"
"I'm Kaleb." He replied rubbing the back of his head.
