Chapter 30

Agent Tucker's partner, Agent Jones, came to her house with Starbucks coffee. When he rang the doorbell, Tucker didn't answer, but he noticed the door was unlocked. As he walked in, he found her where she usually was. She had a clue board in her living room riddled with photos and notes connected with thumbtacks and strands of colored string. Most of the images were of Lincoln Loud and members of his family. Tucker was sleeping in her armchair, snoring.

Jones nudged her, "Wake up!"

She startled and woke up with wide eyes.

"Jesus Christ," Tucker groaned while rubbing her eyes, "How'd you get in my house?"

"Your front door was unlocked . . . again," Jones answered.

"Ah, shit."

He handed her the coffee and looked at the board.

"I don't understand your obsession with this. It's over. The case is closed. What are you hoping to find?" Jones asked.

Agent Tucker got up after taking a long sip of coffee, "I'm telling you, something is going on with all this. Doesn't it strike you odd? One moment, they're a broken family, and the next thing you know, they're at the top of the world. From abuse victim to celebrity."

"Yeah, they won the lottery – literally. So, good for them."

"You're not hearing me. What are the odds that they just happened to win 20 million dollars and Lincoln became a hero?" Tucker asked, shaking her head and turning back to the board, "I think it was somehow staged."

"We already investigated, and you saw the evidence. The truck that almost ran Leni over happened because the driver had a stroke, which triggered his seizure. His foot was lodged on the accelerator pedal, and he could not steer or stop. The gators broke out of their cages due to irresponsibility in properly securing the cage doors, and Lynn Sr.'s motorcycle went too high, hitting his head and falling off his bike. Thus causing that accident. Lincoln got there first because he went down there to try and talk his dad out of it," Agent Jones pointed out and explained.

"Yeah, but how? How did Lincoln know that truck was coming? How did you see it coming from the mall windows? How did he just happen to be near the port-a-johns to grab the weapons to kill the gators? How did he know his sisters were in danger? How did he know Leni was out there on the road or Lana was still in the ring?" Jones questioned.

Jones looked away and signed while rolling his eyes.

"And what about these strange events that have been happening? The bridge blowing up, the burned down warehouse with all those men inside, and these guys that got killed in the alleyway with no evidence left behind. You're telling me they just died by getting struck by lightning in an alleyway? And it just happened right when Lynn Jr. ran away from home? And Lincoln just happened to be at the park on the same night this girl, Taylor, ran away from her abusive family? I'm telling you! It's all connected somehow!" Tucker stated.

Jones asked her, "What are you hoping to find at the end of all this?"

Tucker looked back at the board and crossed her arms, "There's something going on. I feel it. I know it in my gut."

Jones let out a sigh, "Well . . . it's going to have to end. The boss wants you back. We have other cases. Seriously, I need my partner back."

After a long moment of silence, Tucker muttered, "Fine. I'll be back next week."

"Good."

After he left and closed the door, Tucker tied her brown straight hair in a ponytail with her bangs out. She went back to her office room. On the desk table was a mechanical bracelet that was slightly burnt that she found from the burned-down warehouse off of a dead skeleton. Tucker grabbed her tools and tried again to repair it, but it was complex. However, after a few hours of adjusting wires, cleaning out areas, and reconnecting loose cords, a blue light came on as it powered up.

Then, a hologram appeared in front of her, surprising her. It showed a menu of different options, and one of them was titled 'Gallery.' Tucker clicked on that, and there were audio recordings. She played the most recent one, the same night the warehouse was destroyed.

"I found him. I finally found him. White Death in the past. Hard to believe that the universe's most powerful being used to be a kid, and his name was Lincoln Loud."

Tucker's eyes widened, and her eyebrows rose. She listened more closely with a pensive look.

"This might be easier than I thought. I've debated whether or not to kill him, but I don't really have to. I just need his power crystals. I take them, and once I have his future vision powers, I can find power crystals a hell of a lot easier. I've tracked him here, and it looks like he's killing some scumbags. Not even old enough to shave, and he's already making a name for himself. I like that. He doesn't wait for good shit to happen. Not wasting time on that. Ha! That's ironic. Anyway, let's do this."

Tucker wrote all that down on a notepad.

"White Death? Power crystals? What the hell?" Tucker asked out loud.

The bracelet continued to blink its blue light, disrupting energy waves of future vision powers. Tucker felt this item was too valuable of evidence, so she always kept it close. Before she had to leave for work, one of the settings was titled 'Time Destination,' and Tucker was curious about that.

Meanwhile

The Loud Family was packing the remaining items for their new home when Mr. Grouse came by with a farewell gift: a basket full of treats and drinks.

"Thank you, Mr. Grouse," Lincoln said.

"Not gonna lie, I got mixed feelings about you Louds leaving. On the one hand, it'll be quiet for a change, but on the other hand . . . it'll be quiet. I don't know if I'll love or hate the quiet," Mr. Grouse said.

"We'll still live in Royal Woods."

"I know."

Lynn Sr. and Rita approached him.

"We'll miss you, Mr. Grouse," Rita said.

"Yeah, it's been great being your neighbor," Lynn Sr. said.

Mr. Grouse frowned and crossed his arms, "There better not be any more stunts or problems in the future. You do right by your kids, you hear?"

"Yes, sir. I will. We promise," Lynn Sr. assured.

"Good!"

"You know, Mr. Grouse, I don't think we got to ask. There's some stuff we don't know about you. Like, were you ever married, and did you have any kids?" Lincoln asked.

There was a long pause before Mr. Grouse answered, "Yeah, I was married once, but she died of cancer many years ago."

"Oh . . . I'm so sorry," Lincoln said.

"It's okay. You wanted to know, and now you know. As for the part of your question about kids, I have one. A son, Darren. He and I didn't always see eye to eye, but we respected each other. I wanted him to go to college, but he wanted to join the Navy like I did," Mr. Grouse explained.

"You were in the Navy?" Lynn Jr. asked.

"That's right, kiddo. Twelve years. My son is still serving. He's stationed in Hawaii, where his wife and my granddaughter live."

"That's cool," Lana said.

They talked some more and then headed out. Moving in didn't take long, or at least they unloaded most boxes. Lincoln loved his new bedroom. He had everything: space, privacy, and his own bathroom with a shower. After dinner, Lincoln collapsed on the bed with a joyful sigh as he looked up at the skylight windows. There was a bright, full moon in the cloudless sky, casting its divine light down below. As Lincoln drifted into sleep, he suddenly remembered his sisters. He remembered his vision.

He got out of bed and moved some things out on the floor out of the way. Then he teleported his sisters into his room and used his telekinesis powers to make his sisters float in the air. At first, they were surprised by this, but once he teleported their bed to the floor, they showed expressions of understanding.

"You . . . knew we'd come," Lori guessed while still hovering in the air.

Lincoln nodded.

"You saw in your visions we'd come and want to be with you?" Leni asked.

Lincoln nodded.

"We're sorry, Lincoln. It's just the first night in the new house, and . . . we just feel more comfortable with you. I guess we're still getting used to the new place," Luan said.

"How many of you are still getting nightmares?" Lincoln asked.

Lynn, Lana, Luan, Lucy, and Lori raised their hands while the rest didn't.

"Really? Still there?"

"Well . . . actually, mine are pretty much gone. It's just the thought of losing you that scares me as much as the rest of us. I know it'll never happen, but it's still a scary thought that can creep into my nightmares. It doesn't happen often, but still," Lori explained.

"You know what my nightmares are of," Lynn stated with a bummed-out look.

"Lana? Lucy?" Lincoln turned to them.

"Sometimes I still dream about the gators," Lana answered.

"And sometimes mine are ones where I can't save you. They're not as often as they used to be, but they're not gone yet," Lucy said.

"But the rest of you, your nightmares are gone?" Lincoln asked.

"Yeah, but," Leni said, looking away with a guilty look before turning back to Lincoln, "We like being close to you. We've gotten used to sleeping with you, and we look forward to it."

"It's not just that we get good dreams of our future. It's being close to you that makes us happy, little bro. I think that's what makes us sleep better at night," Luna stated with a smile.

"What can we say, Lincoln? We love you and want to be with you," Lola said.

"Agreed," Lisa sided.

Without saying a word but with a smile, Lincoln brought his sisters one by one close to him so he could kiss them, and they kissed him back. Then he lay in bed and carefully and slowly lowered his sisters from the air into a bed before using his powers to pull blankets over them.

"Goodnight, ladies," Lincoln said.

"Goodnight, Lincoln," they said back.

Lucy rolled over and slept on top of him, "I love hearing your heartbeat, Lincoln. It lets me know my brother is alive and right here with us."

Lincoln gently rubbed her head. Lynn curled up close to Lincoln as she wrapped her arms around him. Lori was sleeping on Lincoln's other side, close to him. Every sister in that room had wonderful dreams of their great futures, including Lynn.

Lynn's dream

Lincoln shook his sister, "Lynn! Wake up!"

Lynn startled awake, "Huh, what? What's happening?"

"The event's about to start. We're going up next soon. Did you do your stretches?" Lincoln asked.

Lynn looked at him unsure, "Uhh . . . "

"Let's do them again, anyway. Come on, get up."

Lynn looked around to see that her dream was different than the previous ones that centered around Christmas and New Year's. It was warm, with a bright summer sun beaming down on them and a cool breeze blowing in them. She looked to see her brother grown up into a man . . . and he was buff as heck. Big strong muscles, broad shoulders, arms that look like they could tear metal off a tank, legs that look like they could outrun Forrest Gump, pecs and abs that could stop a bullet, and a handsome face that would steal a princess's heart. Lincoln wore a navy blue sleeveless polyester t-shirt with the US rowing colors and logo, black athletic shorts, tennis shoes, and a cool pair of sports sunglasses.

Lynn looked down to see she was wearing a sleeveless tank top, just like his, athletic shorts, and tennis shoes. Like Lincoln, she was in outstanding shape with strong, lean muscles. Her muscles weren't huge like those of a bodybuilder—they were more like those of Sarah Connor in Terminator, badass and deadly-looking. Lynn looked around to see many people and a river nearby with competitive row boats. Lynn's eyes widened.

'We're rowing? We're in competitive rowing together?!' Lynn thought.

Lynn didn't want to spook Lincoln, so she performed stretches with him and listened to him as he talked.

"We got this, Lynn. It's what we trained for. Remember, long, hard, and steady strokes. Breathe as you pull, and we move in unison. Got it? You ready for this?" Lincoln said as he stretched.

"I was born ready, Snowflake," Lynn said confidently as she stretched.

"That's my girl. Don't forget your sunglasses. It's bright today. You want your hat?" Lincoln asked.

"Nah, I'm good," Lynn answered as she put on her sports sunglasses.

They got in the rowing boat with their teammates. The boat was long and skinny, with other team members, both male and female, wearing the same shirts and were strong like the Louds, too. Once they started, Lynn rowed in synchronization with her brother and teammates. Somehow, she knew and had the muscle memory. She didn't stop to question it. She kept rowing long and strong strokes while breathing steadily. Each stroke required strength, making her and the others grunt as they rowed. It wasn't just the use of arms. They had to use their whole body as they leaned forward, pushing the oar back, and then once in the water, they pulled while pushing with their legs. They have to row simultaneously to go as fast as possible. It didn't take long to feel the burn.

The race was a long stretch, and the opposing team was good. They were neck-to-neck for a while, but soon, they were in the lead. Lynn felt a little anxious as they raced. The need to not let her brother down was in the back of her mind, but she pushed those thoughts away and remembered what Lincoln had told her.

'Come on, Lynn! You can do this. Keep going,' Lynn told herself.

"We're in the home stretch, guys! Keep paddling!" the coxswain said.

As they neared the finish line, Lincoln and Lynn's team came out on top by half a boat length ahead. Once they crossed the finish line, Lincoln and Lynn's team cheered in victory. Lynn laid down while catching her breath, exhausted, as was Lincoln. Once they got back on land, they hollered and cheered. Lincoln lifted his sister up to squeeze her a hug, and she hugged him back.

Each member was awarded a member around their necks and a big shiny trophy for the team. It was shiny stainless steel with polished wood with gold plates with their names on them. Lincoln and Lynn stood together, holding up the trophy as they posed for their pictures being taken. At first, Lynn was amazed by it all, but what really got to her was doing all this with Lincoln. Having this experience with Lincoln was more amazing than winning and the trophies combined. Lynn felt a deep sense of joy in her heart, making her feel lighter than air. Then they sat down and answered some questions to the sports reporters.

"How does it feel to win?" a reporter asked.

"It feels pretty good. Most of us didn't expect us to reach this far, but we're grateful we did," Lincoln answered.

"Now that you won, will you go to the Olympics?" another reporter asked.

Lynn had a hard time containing herself when she heard 'Olympics.' She turned to her brother with a smile. He smiled back at her.

"Yes . . . yes, we are," Lincoln answered.

"Do you think you'll win?" a reporter asked Lynn.

Lynn glanced at her brother and hesitantly answered, "Honestly . . . I don't know. Maybe, but . . . I'm not too worried or fixated on that. I'm just grateful and honored to be able to be part of it and have that experience. I'm even more so that I'm doing with my brother, Lincoln. For me, that's all I could ever ask for."

The audience went 'aww' at that, and especially when Lincoln kissed her head.

"So, you're not really about winning the medal?" the reporter asked.

Lincoln answered, "Medals aren't everything. If we win, then great. However, it's more about the experience. I mean, look at Michael Phelps. He has more medals than any Olympic athlete, but that didn't buy him happiness, but that's a different topic. The point is, win or lose, we'll still play like champions . . . and that's what really counts in sports. Lynn here taught me that."

The audience clapped at that. Lynn felt a strong sense of pride in her brother as she smiled at him.

After that, there was a victory party. Although, it was a little too fancy for Lynn's taste. It felt like they were at a wealthy country club or a party for professional golfers since all the men wore suits or polo shirts with slacks, and all the women wore lovely dresses. Lynn stuck to Lincoln like glue at the party, and thankfully, he didn't mind.

"I mean it when I say I'm grateful. I'm so happy I could race with you, Lincoln," Lynn said as she ate a small snack.

"Me too. I'm sorry our family couldn't see it in person. They texted me and saw the race on their phones and computers. They said hi and thought we were great," Lincoln replied before sipping some champagne.

Lynn nodded, "That's good. Are they doing okay?"

"Well, most of our sisters are doing fine. Luan and Benny are running their own Loud Table. Lori and Ewan found a house they want to buy. They're still deciding if it's the one they want. Lucy's busy with college, and the twins are in their final year at high school, but Lily's been getting into some trouble," Lincoln explained.

Lynn swallowed her champagne before asking, "Trouble? What kind of trouble?"

"Oh (sigh), she's acting out. She's talking back and throwing tantrums. She filled balloons full of paint and threw them at billboards. Don't tell anyone, so we don't have to pay for the property damage – keep that hush-hush. She's been skipping school, and yesterday, she got suspended for pulling the fire alarm," Lincoln answered.

Lynn's eyes widened, and her eyebrows raised, "Pulled the f—?! She pulled the fire alarm? What for? Why is she doing these things?"

"Mom and Dad think she's upset about everyone leaving the nest. She doesn't like being the last bird to fly."

"Ah."

"Yeah. Plus, Mom and Dad are getting older. Their hair is turning grey. So, I don't think Lily likes that her parents look more like her grandparents. So, they're taking her to see a specialist who knows how to help kids acting out."

Lynn took another sip of her champagne.

Lynn asked, "Was it ever explained why Mom and Dad had so many kids? I'm not trying to make them look bad or anything, but eleven kids is a lot. Did they plan that from the beginning, or did they not like condoms or—?"

Lincoln shook his head, "I don't think they ever explained it. All I know is that Stella and I will not have that many kids, and neither are the rest of our sisters. So, Lynn, when you get married, please don't have so many kids."

"I won't. I'll probably just stick with one. Speaking of Stella, how is she?"

"She's good. She's working her way on her PhD. We're still deciding on where we want our wedding to be. I think we should put more money into the honeymoon than the wedding. The wedding's great, but it's only for one day. The honeymoon can be a week or more."

As they talked, Lynn noticed that the light at the windows from the outside was getting brighter and brighter, meaning that the dream was ending soon. Lynn didn't want it to end but knew she couldn't do anything about it.

"There's no rush for that, Lincoln. You got time . . . and best of all, you got family," Lynn said.

Lincoln smiled, "No, Lynn. We got family."

Lynn smiled and was getting choked up as the light grew bright and the people around them looked blurry.

"Lincoln, I want you to know that no matter what . . . I'll always be there for you, and I cherish every good thing with you forever . . . because you matter to me. I love you so much," Lynn said.

"I love you too, Lynn," Lincoln said as he hugged her, "And I'll always be there for you too."

Lynn hugged him back as the lights grew to their brightest, making everything white.

End of Lynn's dream

Lynn woke up close to Lincoln. All their sisters were still in Lincoln's room. The sunlight was starting to come in and make the room glow. Lincoln and the rest of her sisters weren't up yet. Lucy was still sleeping on Lincoln's chest, and Lori's cheek rested against the top of Lincoln's head. Lynn rested her head back on the pillow close to Lincoln. She listened to Lincoln's peaceful breathing and calm snores.

As Lynn was about to drift back into sleep, her sisters began to wake up and yawn one by one. All but Lincoln woke up. They slowly and quietly gathered around, lying on each other to watch Lincoln sleep. Lori twirled her finger in Lincoln's hair, Lucy continued to listen to her brother's heartbeat, and Lynn rubbed circles on his hand with her thumb.

"Did you guys have good dreams?" Lori asked.

Leni nodded, "I did. I dreamed that I was at a fashion show in Paris, and some of the girls were wearing clothes that I made. One of them was for Lincoln's space sci-fi movie."

"I dreamed I was modeling for a photo shoot, then afterward Lincoln and I were talking about my next graphic novel, and Lincoln was sharing some idea suggestions," Lola said.

"He and I were welding the life-size statue of the Iron Giant together. The view from up top was amazing!" Lana said.

They talked more about their dreams, and finally, Lynn spoke about her dream.

"I dreamed that Lincoln and I were on the same rowing team. We won a championship, and people said we were going to the Olympics!" Lynn said.

"The Olympics?!" the Loud sisters gasped.

"Yeah, it was awesome! You should have seen Lincoln. He was so strong and buff! He was like Chris Hemsworth when he played in the Thor movies."

"I thought you'd like that dream," Lincoln said with closed eyes and a smile.

The girls turned to him, surprised.

"You were awake the whole time, weren't you?" Lynn asked.

Lincoln nodded with a smile and then opened his eyes.

"So, all of you slept good?" Lincoln asked.

"Yes, one of the best nights I've had. I dreamed that I would win a big golf championship. Ewan was my husband, and you were there with your wife, Stella," Lori stated.

"Speaking of golf, you're signing up for that big golf tournament, right?" Lincoln asked.

Lori nodded.

"Golf tournament? What tournament?" Luan asked.

"The big Michigan State Golf tournament. It's being hosted here in Royal Woods. It happens a week after the Battle of the Bands contest and two days before Lincoln's big magic contest," Lori answered.

This grabbed everyone's attention with widened eyes and raised eyebrows.

"Magic contest?" Leni questioned.

"Yeah, and it's not some little magic show like the ones you see at school or whatever. This is big, like people with serious talent and skill are showing up. Lincoln's got something super cool to show everyone in the show . . . and surprisingly, he doesn't have to use any of his powers," Lori explained.

"Well, that's pretty exciting. I suppose this is a good time to mention that Benny and I are entering the Royal Woods Summer Cookoff contest," Luan said.

"Any other contests or events someone is signing up for?" Lynn asked.

"There's a video game competition that Lincoln, Clyde, Stella, and I are entering. A video game competition of War Thunder. Team battles of each kind – tanks, ships, airplanes, and helicopters. I'm pretty excited about it," Lana announced.

"This summer's beauty pageant is coming up, but it's whatever. I got it covered. I'm more into the webcomic I'm working on with Lincoln," Lola said.

"It's not really a contest, but I'm working on some cool new designs for clothes. Ms. Carmichael has someone who works for Fashion Monthly. She's looking for new ideas. So, I'm working on a few ideas. If the informant likes and is impressed with what I got, she'll put it on the cover of the magazine," Leni explained with the last part she spoke in a high-pitched tone out of excitement before squealing a happy scream.

"O-M-G! That's amazing, Leni!" Lori praised.

"Yeah!" the twins sided.

"We're rooting for ya, sis," Lynn said with a smile.

"Hmm," Lincoln tapped his chin, "Let's see. Lori's golf tournament, Leni's fashion thing, Luna's Battle of the Bands—"

"With you," Luna said with a smile.

"—Luan's cookoff with Benny, Lynn's soccer, Lola's beauty pageant, Lana's video game tournament—"

"With you," Lana said with a smile.

"—and my magic contest. So, that leaves Lucy and Lisa. Are you two doing anything?" Lincoln asked.

"My dream machine has captured the interests of several brilliant scientific minds. There's going to be a convention where my machine will be shown there. I've received letters from people wishing to enhance my machine to help the human mind's condition," Lisa answered.

"That's awesome," Lincoln said.

"Luan's been helping me with my poetry. With your help with my dark fantasy fanfiction and Luan's training, my poetry teacher is hosting a poetry festival and has asked me to be part of it, and it's happening at the Royal Woods Theater," Lucy explained.

Everyone commented on how amazing that was. They talked for a while, and Lincoln felt he wanted to ask Lynn the pending questions.

"Lynn . . . how are you? You still get nightmares, but what about the voices? Do you still hear them?" Lincoln asked.

"Not really. I mean . . . I haven't for a while, and even then, they're not as taunting as before. It's mostly just, 'He'll leave you,' and nothing else," Lynn answered.

Lincoln gave a sad frown as he looked at the others.

"Is me leaving that scary to you girls?" Lincoln asked.

"Yes, Lincoln, it is. We know that you said you'll never leave us, but that night when you tried to run away . . . that truly shook us to our cores," Lori stated.

All the sisters looked away with sad expressions while Lincoln raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Why does it scare you so much that I would leave?" Lincoln asked.

"Because Lincoln," Lucy started while rubbing her arm, "The ugly truth is . . . we need you . . . but you don't really need us."

"What?! What do you mean? Of course, I need you! You're my family," Lincoln protested.

"Lincoln, we're walking disaster pieces. You've held us together. We'd fall apart without you," Lucy said, her lips quivering, "But you wouldn't without us."

Lincoln scooted over to her, gently held her face up to look at him, and softly kissed her face.

"Lucy . . . I wouldn't last one week without you. Maybe not even a day. Everything great about me, I got from you girls. Drawing art and comics are my own unique talents, but everything else I got from you, ladies. I know how to cook and bake from Luan. I know how to play guitar, drums, and bass from Luna. I know how to cut and sew from Leni. I know how to do yoga, maintain exercise, and how to date from Lori. I know how to weld and some mechanics from Lana. I know photography and beauty pageants from Lola. I know some degree of science and math from Lisa – maybe not as advanced, but more than what our school teachers taught us. I know some sports, martial arts, and self-defense from Lynn. And I know vampires and dark fantasy from you, Lucy. Also, that's just stuff at the top of my head. I've learned a lot more from you, girls. Trust me, I need you girls more than you realize," Lincoln explained.

Lucy sniffed, and a small smile emerged, "Really?"

"Really," Lincoln said as he hugged, "I'm never leaving you . . . but are you girls leaving me?"

All the sisters' eyes widened, and they exclaimed, "No! Never!"

"Okay, good. For a second there, I thought I'd be worried," Lincoln said sarcastically, then snapped his fingers, "Oh! That's right, I remembered what I wanted to do to you girls."

"Huh?" Lynn asked.

Then Lincoln used his telekinesis powers to make all his sisters float in the air. Their eyes widened with surprise while Lincoln had a satisfactory grin.

"Lincoln! What are you doing?" Lori asked.

"I'm going to make all of you laugh," Lincoln answered.

He brought Lori over. She was in a lying position, hovering in front of Lincoln. Everyone looked at him with raised eyebrows and pensive looks. Lori's eyes widened when he lifted her shirt to reveal her belly.

"Wait, are you—? No! Lincoln, no! Don't you dare!" Lori warned.

Lincoln smiled a devilish grin as he stretched his arms and cracked his fingers.

"Lincoln, I'm warning you! If you do this, there is nowhere you can hide from me!" Lori yelped with a slight smile while struggling to get free.

Lincoln took a long and deep inhale, placed his face on Lori's tummy, and blew her a big, long belly raspberry. Lori laughed, yelped, and squealed.

"Nooo! AH! Hahahaha!" Lori squealed joyfully.

She laughed so hard that tears were leaking out of her eyes, and her cheeks were rosy. This made the other sisters giggle. Lincoln smiled happily before kissing Lori's cheek. Then, Lincoln moved her aside and brought Leni down.

She struggled to get free and pleaded, "Lincoln! No! Please, I have a sensitive tummy!"

Lincoln gently lifted her night dress and blew her a belly raspberry, but not as hard as Lori's. Like her older sister, she laughed and squealed. Then Luna's turn came.

"No! Don't even think about it, bro!" Luna begged.

Lincoln blew her belly a raspberry, which made her laugh. After laughing so hard, she and her older sisters took several deep breaths to calm themselves down.

"Don't you dare, Lincoln!" Luan pleaded.

She and the other sisters laughed and squealed joyfully as Lincoln got payback on all of them for giving him belly raspberries. Each sister begged for mercy but received none from their brother. When it was over, they were all lying on the mattresses, panting so hard to catch their breath and slow their heart rate. Lincoln kept his devilish grin as he placed his hands on his hips, looking down on all his sisters in his new bedroom.

"You know what you girls are?" Lincoln asked as he pressed the button on his new stereo.

"You girls are . . ."

He played the song, 'Mine' by Matt Nathanson forty seconds in, to the part where he sang,

"Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine

Oooh, oooh

Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine,"

Lincoln lip-sang the lyrics and danced while shaking his hips. His sisters squinted their eyes at him. As Lincoln danced confidently, the music stopped, making him stop. Then, nine pairs of hands grabbed him and held him down. Before Lincoln knew it, his sisters held him down on the mattresses circling around him.

"Oh Lincoln . . . you think you're sooooo smart, don't you? You think you're sooooo clever," Lori said with a smirk.

"You think you're sooooo funny, do ya?" Luan asked.

"I have my moments. I can't help it, girls. It's not my fault that you girls are tons of fun," Lincoln said.

"Oh, is that so, Linky?" Leni asked in a sassy tone.

"Yeah. It is oh, oh, oh, oh, so much fun teasing you girls," Lincoln replied.

"Oh really? Is that so? You like teasing your darling sisters who love you so much?" Lola asked in a sassy voice.

"Oh yes."

"Well, guess what, Linky-Boo. It's fun to tease you as well," Lori said with a devilish grin.

"And believe us, bro, we're going to have a ball," Luna commented.

They lifted Lincoln's shirt, and before he could beg for mercy, they took turns blowing raspberries on his belly and tickling. Lincoln laughed and squealed. After a while, like his sisters, he was out of breath as he lay on the mattress floor with his sisters around with satisfactory smiles.

"Say it. Saaaaaay it, Linky-Boo," Lori cooed.

Lincoln caught his breath, "I love you girls."

"And?" Leni cooed with a wry smile.

"I'm yours."

"And?" Lucy cooed.

"You're the best sisters in the world."

"Aaaaannnndddd?" Lola cooed with a big smile.

"And . . . I wouldn't trade you for the world," Lincoln finished.

"That's right. Now, be a good boy and teleport our beds back to our rooms and come down for breakfast," Lynn stated while rustling Lincoln's hair.

Lincoln did just that, putting the mattresses back in their rooms and following his sisters downstairs to the kitchen. Lincoln and the girls loved the new house and everything about it. It had that fresh, new house smell. Even the carpet felt nice—new, with no dirt or hair in it.

Despite it being a Saturday, Lincoln still did his morning exercise. Although he didn't use weights because they weren't unpacked yet – he used his sisters. He held Lori and Leni in each hand and lifted them like overhead dumbbells. Lincoln's strength never ceased to amaze his family, but at this point, they had grown used to it. Lori was texting and browsing social media on her phone while Leni was filing her nails. As Lincoln lifted them up and down, their hair rose up and down a little. Lincoln wasn't even breaking a sweat but took steady breaths.

"Hey Lori, which nail polish should I use? I'm going to paint half my fingers white and the other half light green, but should it be with or without sparkles?" Leni asked as she rose up and down by Lincoln.

"Definitely sparkles. They'll glisten in the sunlight," Lori answered.

"Hmm, you're right. Also, am I the only one who still thinks this is fun?" Leni asked.

"Nope, I'm loving this too," Lori answered with a smile, "Lincoln, you are so strong."

"Thank you, girls," Lincoln said.

Then, he used Luna and Luan by having them sit on a wooden bench while Lincoln lifted them up and down using his legs. Luna had her notebook writing song lyrics, and Luan was browsing through a recipe book. Lincoln grunted each time, pushing with his legs to lift them.

"Hey Luan, what do you think of these lyrics? This is for an upbeat and exciting song – lots of loud rock," Luna asked as they rose up and down.

"Hmm, I like them. Is there going to be a guitar solo in the middle?" Luan asked.

"Yeah, not all songs have to have a lot of lyrics, but they do have to flow smoothly together. I'm still working on the calm rock song for the battle," Luna said, scratching her head.

"You'll think of a good one. I'm sure. I'm still deciding what Benny and I should cook together for the big cookoff. It's summer grill-themed. So, it has to be a food that can cooked on a grill like barbeque. Benny was thinking of burgers, but everyone does that. I'm wondering if we can do something different," Luan said.

"Hmm," Luna said, looking over at the recipe book with Luan, "Chicken, hot dogs, sausages . . . what about ribs? People like ribs and steak."

"Eh, steak is kind of unhealthy. Oh! What about grilled salmon? Or shrimp?" Luan asked.

Luna nodded, "Those are good favorites. If I had to choose, I'd go with grilled salmon. What about you, little bro?"

Luna and Luan looked down below to hear his answer. Lincoln finished his presses and carefully set the sisters down. Then, he crawled out from under them and stood up while panting.

"I like salmon. Shrimp is good, but I'd go with salmon," Lincoln panted.

Luan nodded and placed a bookmark sticker on the page, "Grilled salmon it is then. The question is, what kind of grilled salmon should we make, and how should we prepare it?"

"I'd go with whatever is the tastiest and has the best flavor. Something that makes people say 'yum' when they take the first bite," Luna suggested.

Lincoln used the twins next. He had them sitting on his back while he did push-ups in the living room. It was impressive that Lincoln could do so many with two people on his back. The twins' hair swung around as they went up and down.

Lana giggled, "Hehehe, this is so fun."

"I know, right? This is better than those kiddie rides at the mall or Dairyland, and the best part is this is free!" Lola praised.

They talked while Lincoln did push-ups. Lana talked about what tanks and attack helicopters they should use for the game tournament. Lola talked about ideas for her webcomic. The other sisters talked about their things as well while their mother and Luan were cooking breakfast.

Lincoln did sit-ups using Lynn and Lucy. He used his telekinesis powers to hover himself in the air close to the ceiling. Lynn and Lucy were sitting on a bench with a rope tied to each end as he lifted them up and down. Lynn didn't really have much to share. She mainly listened to Lucy talk about her poetry festival as All the sisters and Lincoln talking about their great events made her feel inferior, but she had to keep telling herself not to let it drag her down. While Lynn Sr. was taking a shower, Lynn Jr. took this chance to ask Lincoln.

"So, Lincoln . . . when does Dad . . . you know, become a hero, and we tell him about everything?" Lynn asked.

Everyone was quiet and waited for Lincoln's answer.

"One week from now. He'll go see his friend, Kevin, to meet his wife, and along the way, that's when the accident will happen at the bridge. Dad will rush in, help people, and jump in the river to save the kid. The good news is no one will die, and the better news is Dad will be a hero, and his reputation will be restored," Lincoln explained.

"That's good. When do we tell him the truth about everything?" Lori asked.

"Later the night, after he comes home. It'll take a while to show him everything, but once he sees it all . . . it'll really shock him," Lincoln pulled out a light orb, "And there's a slight chance it'll make him feel so bad that he may try to kill himself."

Everyone's eyes widened, and they gasped.

"What?!" Rita exclaimed as she rushed over and held the light orb.

The light orb showed Rita and the kids walking into the parents' bedroom to find Lynn Sr. dangling off the ground from a hanging noose around his neck. Everyone screams in horror at the sight. Rita desperately tries to hold up her husband as Lori cuts the rope. The vision ends with all of them weeping while Rita holds her dead husband, and the kids hold each other tearfully.

"Oh my god!" Rita cried.

"Guys! Shh! I said there was a slight chance and that he'd try. I didn't say it's 100% going to happen," Lincoln said and pointed to the light orb, "Besides, you can tell. Look how this light orb lacks color. So, it's only a slight chance."

"Oh, 'slight chance.' Well, what's a slight chance on a scale of one to ten?" Lori asked firmly.

"I'd say a . . . three or a four," Lincoln answered.

"Well, that's not so bad. Right guys?" Luna asked with a nervous smile.

"How do we avoid this, Lincoln?" Rita asked seriously.

"This bad future only happens if we're too hard on him . . . and if I let him, which I won't because I'll teleport there in a heartbeat before he'll even have a chance to tie the noose. Look, we can avoid this. We need to get the message across that he was a bad father and husband, but not anymore. We need to explain to him that everything that happened and led up to this was to make him stronger and wiser. The new Lynn Loud Sr. is a better person, and we love him. We should keep an eye on him but let him have some space," Lincoln explained.

Rita nodded, "Okay."

Lincoln turned to Lynn Jr. and said, "Also, Lynn, once he knows what's really been going on with you, he'll want to take us fishing to connect with us and understand everything. Once that happens, don't be afraid to say what you're feeling."

Lynn looked away sheepishly before saying, "Okay."

Lincoln did one last workout using his mother, lifting her up and down like an overhead press.

"Remind me (up & down) again why (up & down) you're lifting (up & down) me and your sisters (up & down) and not using (up & down) metal weights," Rita said.

"We haven't unpacked them yet. So, I have to use what I got," Lincoln answered.

"Okay, just don't drop me, please."

After breakfast, they showered and got dressed. Then, Lincoln went on a date with his girlfriend, Stella, to Gus' Games and Grub.

"Linky!" Stella cheered.

"My Stella-Bella," Lincoln greeted warmly.

They hugged each other before kissing each other passionately. His friends and their girlfriends came too – Clyde with Chloe, Rusty with Polly Pain, Zach with Giggles, and Liam with Tabby. Everyone dressed nicely and had a blast playing arcade games. Lincoln and Stella had a blast with Dirty Drivin' – the monster truck arcade game where you shoot and bash other monster trucks. They also enjoyed playing H2O Overdrive, Dead Storm Pirates, Blazing Angels, Fast & Furious, and several others.

Sometimes, they play on teams to compete against each other. The games that really got them riled up were games like Skee-ball, Hoops, and air hockey. Lincoln and Stella kicked ass at air hockey. When they won, they hugged each other and kissed. Clyde and Chloe won at Skee-ball, and like Lincoln and Stella, they hugged and kissed at their victory. Rusty and Polly won one game at Hoops. Then Zach and Giggles won the next game. Both couples kissed in victory as well. After that, they all sat down to eat some pizza for lunch.

"How's the new house, Linky?" Stella asked after sipping some soda.

"It's amazing! Check out my bedroom," Lincoln said as he pulled out his phone to show photos of his new room.

Everyone's eyes widened, "Whoa!"

"Oh my gosh! Lincoln, your room looks just like the bedroom in Hey Arnold!" Stella said.

"I was going to say that! It has the same skylight windows and everything. That's awesome, Lincoln," Clyde said.

"The bedroom in Hey-what?" Chloe asked.

"The show Hey Arnold! You've never seen it?" Zach asked.

"I've never even heard of it," Polly said after chewing her food.

"Oh, dog! You got to see it. It's a great show . . . even though it's a little old," Rusty said.

"Hey, it's not that old. It ran from the 90s to 2004," Clyde said.

"And it was a good show. Although, for a cartoon show, it addressed some dark topics that can be related to real life," Lincoln said.

"Like what?" Giggles asked.

"Oh, things like bullying, drug addiction, obesity, theft, crime, abuse, and several other things, but it handled it well and sometimes in a clever way, like this character named Chocolate Boy. He's a kid who was obsessed with eating chocolate. One episode focused on him and showed how he got addicted to chocolate in the first place. When he was little, he was close to his nanny. Before she left and never came back, she gave him some chocolate. He eats chocolate because he misses her so much. Arnold helped him overcome his chocolate addiction, but he became obsessed with radishes instead. So, he traded one addiction for another," Stella explained.

"Although, when you think about it, an addiction to radishes isn't all that bad because radishes are good for you, unlike chocolate. So, I like to think that later in life, as those radishes are doing his health justice, he exercises and uses fitness to help him balance out his health and get over addiction altogether. That's one of the things that the show did well. Some episodes ended on a cliffhanger, but you have a feeling you know what happened later," Lincoln said.

"Oh yeah. Like that episode about the Pigeon Man. He flew away with his birds, but you get it. In a way, you know what happened to him afterward. He went someplace better and continued to help birds who needed help," Clyde added.

They talked more while eating. Clyde and the boys showed the girls clips of the show Hey Arnold! on their phones. Stella curled up close next to Lincoln, and he had an arm around her. After the arcades, they went to the park. The boys walked around holding their girlfriend's hand. Lincoln and Stella walked around as they talked.

"I'm really excited for the Battle of the Bands next Wednesday. Will you, Luna, and the Moon Goats win?" Stella asked.

"Do you want spoilers?" Lincoln asked.

Stella thought for a moment before answering, "Nah."

Lincoln pulled out his phone and started the song 'So Close, So Alive,' by Just Surrender. Stella smiled as he started singing the lyrics and dancing around her – Stella sang, too. Lincoln and Stella felt an incredible feeling of joy as they sang and danced around each other. Lincoln felt lost in her, and the feeling was mutual. When the song was over, Lincoln wrapped his arms around her. Stella held Lincoln with one arm wrapped around his shoulders and one hand playing with his face. Then she sent a long and passionate kiss to his lips, and he kissed her back the same.

"I love you, Stella," Lincoln said with a smile.

"I love you too, Linky," Stella replied, "God, I can't wait for our lives to start when we get older."

"I know. Me too. It's going to be awesome. Quick question and I know this is a little random, but since we're talking about our future, I want to ask. When I get a car for us, do you care what kind?" Lincoln asked.

"Hmm, well, I don't want us to have an old used jalopy, and we definitely don't need a big Ford F350 diesel truck. We're not going to live on a ranch or whatever. I love sports cars, but we'll probably need space. So, I'm thinking a good SUV and, if possible, make it black or dark blue," Stella answered.

Lincoln nodded, "Okay."

"Also, I got a question, Lincoln. We're having three kids, right? Two girls and a boy?"

"That's what I saw in the visions."

"What are we naming them?"

"Hmm . . . I only saw visions of our kids, but I didn't listen in on them. I could do that, or we could decide together," Lincoln suggested.

"Let's do that, but when we get married, am I changing my last name to Loud, or are you changing your last name to Zhau? No, wait, I'm changing my name to Loud. Because Stella Loud is better than Lincoln Zhau. Sounds cleaner," Stella stated.

"My only request is don't give them all 'L' names like my parents did. So, anything that doesn't start with the letter 'L' is okay by me," Lincoln requested.

They brainstormed together, thinking of good names for their future children. After ten minutes of guessing and looking up on Google, they found some good ones. Their eldest daughter would be named Kaydence Loud. Their youngest daughter would be Julia Loud, and their son would be Devon. They sat together while looking at a light orb of their future selves with their children.

"Hmm, Kaydence, Devon, and Julia Loud. I love it," Stella said.

"Me too," Lincoln said as he put his arm around her shoulder, "Me too."
