Episode 4: Chapter 1

The sun shone brightly as the summer was well and truly underway. But that did little to cheer up the two teens who entered their school together. Kyle Sherman and Sophie Leigh. Kyle was a tall young man at five foot eleven, he had close cropped reddish-brown hair, olive green eyes and tanned skin, he had a barely noticeable five o'clock shadow and a normal broad-shouldered build. Sophie was tall with a lanky build, notably long legs as shown by her school skirt and knee high socks, pale skin, green eyes and red hair, which she wore long. Her twin sister Minerva was almost identical, but wore her hair short and shaved on the left side and a scar over her right eyebrow. Both, like the others, wore their school uniforms which consisted of a black polo shirt or long sleeved sweater, with a possible black blazer, with a purple and gold tie, and a gold crest with purple accents on the breast, with matching black slacks or shorts for boys. For the girls it had a collared button up white top with a similar tie and crest to the boys. They wear a black skirt with plaid purple lines with gold accents, with black stockings and flats. Hair ties can be used in either black, purple or gold. Kyle wore slacks as did all but five of the boys in their friend group who opted for shorts instead. Due to the summer heat they were all however not wearing their blazers.

The two were a romantic couple and were on their way to meet their friends who waved them over, waiting for them. The five boys in shorts were nearest, first was Louis Sulieman, who was was tall with dreadlocked dark brown hair and brown eyes, light brown skin and a lanky build, Marlon Chase, a tall blonde boy with his hair in a messy mullet, blue eyes and fair skin with a normal broad-shouldered build. Omar Silverstein, a slightly chubby dark skinned young man with brown afro hair, brown eyes and a casual smile, Kenny Jr., better known to them as Duck, who was lanky with short brown hair, brown eyes and fair skin with prominent ears. The final boy was Tenn Leigh, a dark skinned boy with short cut black hair and black eyes and a burn scar on the right side of his face. Tenn was the adopted brother of Minerva and Sophie. Minerva sat at the table too and glared at Sophie and Kyle, still not liking their relationship. Two of the girls also sat nearby and smiled, having the opposite idea of said relationship. They were Clementine Everett, a five foot one girl, with medium length curly dark brown hair, golden brown eyes framed with long lashes, her skin was a pleasing caramel shade and she had an athletic build and Violet Adlon, a girl around five foot two, yet despite that she had long legs, shown by her uniform. She also had short somewhat stringy blonde hair with heavy bangs, pale skin and green eyes with strong features.

Their other friends were there too. Gabriel Garcia who was with his girlfriend Brody Burress, Gabe was a moderately tall with medium length messy brown hair and brown eyes, tanned skin and somewhat lanky. Brody around medium height, fair skinned with long auburn hair tied back in a ponytail, light blue eyes and a slender curvy build with long legs. The other two were a boy, somewhat tall, with dark skin hinting at an Indian heritage, short black hair and black eyes and a girl who was somewhat short with short red hair, blue eyes and pale freckled skin and had a chubby and admittedly busty build, which also showed mainly on her legs, they were, respectively, Aasim Rajan and Ruby Hillis. Then was Mitch Daymond, tall with short but messy brown hair, brown eyes and fair skin, along with a normal but broad shouldered build, and Willy Cowden, who was somewhat below medium height with short brown hair, brown eyes and fair skin, fairly skinny. Finally a girl who was part of their friend group, a girl with short but thick black hair that didn't quite reach her shoulders, olive toned skin with soft brown eyes behind red framed slightly thick glasses, she was skinny, rather petite named Sarah Chaikin.

"Hey guys, how are you?" Clementine asked when she saw them. "I mean, after...what happened."

Kyle and Sophie sat down, hands linked and both nodded.

As they sat and pondered their answer, they considered what they were being asked. Back in the winter, before Christmas, the Leigh family home had been burned down by arson, but the arsonist was never caught, Sophie's parents were killed in the fire. In the springtime, only a few months ago, they found that the former school liaison officer, William Carver, was arrested and exposed when it was revealed he was hiding a dark secret, a hidden bunker where he hid binders of photos he had taken, photos of the female students in the school, most notably of Sophie. They had found it and revealed it to the police and as such Carver was now in jail, exposed as a creep.

"I...I think we're fine." Kyle said. "We dealt with the worst part I'm sure."

Sophie shook her head. "I'm not so sure. Something is wrong. The guy who burned down my family home and killed my parents was somehow connected to us, wanted revenge. But...Carver has no past connection to us or my family."

Minerva scoffed and dusted off her skirt. "Oh honestly, Sophie. Get a grip, so there was danger, it's passed. Stop worrying about it, there's nothing more for us to deal with. That's all just paranoia."

Sophie bit her lip, toying with the hem of her own skirt.

But then Violet spoke up. "I actually agree with Sophie. There's something not quite right with that situation."

The others all nodded and murmured in agreement, leaving Minerva to huff.

"So, we all stay alert, just in case?" Kyle summed up.

Again the others nodded, deciding it for them.

So, knowing the school day was due to start, they all walked together, heading through the school as they noted things had greatly changed since Kyle started back in the previous Autumn. The school's resident bitch girl, Rondi Pels, was gone from the school. Nick, the arrogant boy who had been caught up in the mystery had turned himself into the police, as he knew more than he had let on. Meanwhile Rondi's minions, Michelle Brown and Becca Jones had been scared into behaving at last. For them all, things were looking up.
